We delve into the Opta data next, rolling out our usual post-Gameweek members’ article.

Both Merseyside clubs play a part in our assessment, while we also check out the contrasting fortunes from West Ham and Watford’s goal scoring midfielders.

Southampton’s in-form frontman is also among our featured players, as is a certain Man City wide man after a weekend return to the scoresheet.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Probably stupid but I took a hit for Niasse to Quaner earlier.
I really needed that .2 that will probably be lost tomorrow if not today.

      Both on fire.
Until recently would have always said KDB is guaranteed more minutes!
      60:40 to sterling for explosiveness
60:40 to KDB in consistency ( but sterling making inroads )
Basically it's close, but one is way way less expensive.
Likely that you can spread the excess money elsewhere to improve on any points that KDB will get over sterling.

I don't particularly like Sterling as a player and KDB is different gravy, proving himself to be world class this season thus far.
In saying that the positions Sterling finds himself in every game he plays! City's top scorer, nuff said.
So, I'd rather KDB but Sterling is probably the better pick! 🙂

Yeah, I just keep thinking abou BOU, they don't really know how to shut up shop like some of the lesser teams! And even if they did, City are still far too good, the form that they're in!!
I feel 3-0 at least, 4 or 5 probable and more quite possible! It's still difficult to predict where the majority of the points will come from but most City assets look captainable imo!

No way I captain Kaku away to LEI over a City attacker at home to BOU I think! Pogba is a factor though and could get MUn firing again!

If I go with Kane, DCL and Depoitre, it enables me to have a mid group of:

Hazard, Sterling, Salah, Pogba and Coutinho.

Will only need one of the two forwards to play each GW.

Surely having Pogba at 7.9 instead of Morata (10.7 + a rotation risk) is a better outcome?

For probably the first time this season, I'm pretty happy with this lot... does Moreno need to go or is he coming back this week?

    Coutinho / Elliott
    Alonso/ Jones/ Monreal/ Moreno/ Kenny

Yeah the problem I see with Moreno is he will be rotated now even if he is back soon. His injury has given Robertson a chance and even if Moreno is first choice Klopp will be confident enough to play Robertson. Moreno has lost his medium-long term appeal to me. I would be trading him

On fixtures yes. But I would not be surprised if Mee kept Spurs out!!

Bench Mee for Simpson last week now that looks silly - at least I had Pope.

Sane (BOU), Kaku (lei) or Haz (eve)?

I see a number of KDB or Sterling for captain questions. What if you had both Sterling and Aguero? I kinda like the look of Aguero as a differential captain, at home, to Bournemouth, after Jesus just played 120 minutes.

Hadnt considered until 15 mins ago when I seen That Jesus played the whole game last night! I'm tempted to go Kane to Kun(C) for a -4 now. I've only got Sane who I'm a little reluctant to captain!

        Thanks.

Yeah, I feel like I need a little shakeup and something different from the norm. It wouldn't even have to be a -4 for me since I still have my FT this week. That said, I'm tempted by a -8 that would set me up for a few weeks:

        - Kane, RLC and Courtois to Aguero, Pogba and Adrian.

And I'd still have an easy path back to Kane in GW22 if I want it.

Who would be the playing keeper for 21 on the -8 option?

Free Kane to Kun could be a good punt.

That's the rub: I'd be banking on Elliot keeping his spot (which I feel pretty good about) - and he'd have Brighton at home.

Nice -8 that especially if you captain Kun, could be gold if Kane blanks again (which is not that unlikely)!

I am very hit averse, but with the RLC to Pogba upgrade, and then having Adrian for the double (and their solid set of fixtures afterwards), I'm quite tempted.

      1. FC Hakkebøf

Nope.. thought strongly about it but got other transfers lined up, and dont want to take a hit.. ogbonna/masuaku might get 8-9 pts at the very best, but not gonna take a hit for it as other options will get 6-7.

GK's tend to do very well in DGW's. Save points and such. Given Spurs and West Ham actually got very nice fixtures after the DGW I would consider getting Adrian which could make way for Otamendi.
But IDK this game is so hard.. Considering -4 to swap Kane + Mariappa to Kun + Jones/Smalling, but Kun will be a pain in the *** to own after this GW

Gotta look beyond onei DGW.. dont know ifbaby Hart can win his spot back either.. rather go for nailed on players who plays for the better team.. Ederson is not getting any baps, but neither isis otamendi unless he grabs a goal.. Mustafi can do that as well.. and does that as well :). Great flexibility as well as any player can be brought in with two transfers

    Otamendi, Masuaku, Mariappa
    Salah, Sterling, Hazard, Zaha, Richarlison
    Firmino, (K)ane

    A: Save
    B: Monreal -> Jones/Smalling (bench Mariappa)
    C: Kane + Mariappa -> (K)un + Jones/Smalling (In GW22 do Courtois + Kun --> (K)ane + Adrian)

Sort of the same here transfer-wise. I was set on keeping Jesus as a differential but not after 120 mins... I feel getting Aguero is a very short-term move as you know he'll be rotated next, so I wouldn't feel comfortable taking the risk, especially with a hit, for a non-nailed player.

On the other hand, if he hauls...!

I hear you but you never know with Pep, he could end up starting both Aguero & Jesus (although looks unlikely)! I'm just pissed off as I really want to sell Kane but can't find a worthwhile way this week without a -8. So prob best to stick and review again after the weekend I guess!

I would really like to do the Kane -> Agüero for the next 3, but the problem is, that Kun will be such a pain to own after this GW. Had him earlier this season, and it made me get nervous ticks and all...

However I think so many managers will transfer Kane out when the blank arives and then straight back in.

Kane + Mariappa -> Kun (C) + Jones/Smalling just looks so great right now..

For -8 I think you should stick though, but if you stick with Kane just put the armband on him already. Otherwise ship. I am either keeping and (C) due to Burley suspension and injuries or getting rid till DGW. Not need for a 13 mil player in a team not in form given 1 point less pr. goal and no CS point.
