Gameweek 28 continues with a midday kick-off at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace host top-four hopefuls Spurs.

All eyes will be on Harry Kane in this early clash, as he bids to go back ahead of Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

Salah’s 23rd goal of the season helped him to a 10-point return in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over West Ham United. Some 1.2 million Fantasy Premier League managers who have backed Kane with the Gameweek captaincy will be hoping that he can do better today against an injury-ravaged Palace side.

Son Heung-min’s remaining 697,000 owners will be less optimistic after seeing the South Korean’s run of 13 successive Gameweek starts ended today. Son is on the bench with Erik Lamela handed just a third league start of the season in midfield.

Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen misses out altogether – he’s sidelined by an ankle injury sustained in training as Eric Dier shifts to the defence and Victor Wanyama comes into the engine room. Toby Alderweireld is also sidelined with a “minor” hamstring injury.

Spurs’ injury worries are insignificant compared with the Eagles’ list of casualties. They have 12 first-team players ruled out and are forced to hand a debut to 20-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back today in a makeshift back four. Jairo Riedewald is also drafted into the midfield to help screen the defence.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

alli is another typical case of the English media over hyping a player and it gets to his head and he starts underperforming.

Even FPL wise Alli's only had like 5 consistent weeks in 3 seasons...

Nonsense. 15/16 and 16/17 seasons he was very good. Only this season he’s been poor.

Alli is all about goals though (with the occassional assist). He isn't really a player with high amounts of game involvement. If the goals dry up then he is always going to be seen as off form. Very much like Lukaku, although Lukaku's team play seems to have perked up in recent weeks.

      1. Feloh
        • 9 Years

Lol kaku is still crap, basic stuff like proper ball control and hold up play still elude him

A guy who regularly scores 17+ PL goals a season is not crap. Might not be as good as Kane, but better than Vardy, Lacazette (what has he done this season?), Tosun (1/3rd of the price of Lukaku, but won't even score 1 goal) etc.

I'm not though. If he was scoring craploads of goals he would be in my team. I would happily ditch Salah if his scoring form ended and he looked off form and wasn't getting chances.

My first season is coming to an end, so far I have learnt to not bother:

    - capping a first gamer of the week.

    - taking hits on Defenders.

The single FPL player who has caused me the most amount of angst = Hazard.

Erikksen playing deep. I reckon verts being out has concerned Poch that he's changed our system. It could be reason lemela started as Son does give ball away more so dangerous to let palace break.
