Rivalries are up and running in the ScoutCast as my old adversary Granville moves 16 points ahead, while Az closes the gap in his chase of Jonty.

Inevitably, Gameweek 31 will likely have a say in these contests, with opinions on that reduced set of fixtures divided in this week’s episode.

Against the backdrop of Ragabolly’s brilliant and extensive research, we investigate the real cost of Gameweek 31 hits and the benefit on offer for Free Hit managers.

Elsewhere it’s the Fantasy Premier League rules that get a grilling thanks to your community questions. We wonder whether the Norwegians have stolen a march with their Fantasy Eliteserien inventions as we assess the merits of the current chips.

Then the controversial bonus decisions of Gameweek 29 spark another appraisal of the Bonus Points System, with Granville taking his turn to be nostalgic as he pines for the mysterious “man in the stand” of yesteryear.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Huge worries about whether Davies, Son & Wilson will start this weekend. My gut tells me 2 of them will be benched .... just don’t know which two 🙁

What is everyone’s guess on this ?

Son has started the last 3 in a week, was rested away to Palace and away to Juve. Seems to be favoured in the FA Cup games too ... will Poch give some one with fresh legs a run out this weekend (away game) and Son starts in the cup next weekend ?

Is the order of likely benching for me.

Have 2FT here but really no idea where or how to use it! WC in 32 or 33

    Adrian Eliot
    Ogbonna Otamendi Zanka (VVD Chilwell)
    Sterling Choupo Mane Salah (RLC)
    Kane Aguero Wilson

    A) Ogbonna > Francis (bench Francis this week, play Chilwell or VVD)
    B) Sterling > Siggy
    C) Otamendi downgrade for Baines/Keane

I've already let one one FT disappear this season, can't throw another one away!

    Foster - Elliot
    Dijk - Otamendi - Mee - Hegazi - Ogbonna
    Sterling - Salah - Deulofeu - Carroll - Shaqiri
    Kane - Firmino - Agüero

    0.4M ITB, 2FT.

Either doing Deulofeu to La Parra, or Deulofeu+Otamendi+Carroll to La Parra, Schindler and Walcott for a hit, giving me 9 players ready for GW31 (plus a transfer between 30 and 31)

What do you guys think? Leaning towards no hit myself, but tempting to have Walcott at home to Brighton.

Not sure what to do now after seeing Son play and Sterling not even on the bench...also Ogbonna and Quaner doubts so need a bench this weekend

    A) Sterling > GW31 player
    B) Son > GW31 player
    C) Hold

Issue is I want Stanislas but not for this GW due to fixture

    Pope
    VVD Davies Otamendi

Wait for Pep's press. If Sterling's out, then Sterling > Walcott is a no brainer. But if he'll play vs. Stoke, I'd hold him.

If hold Sterling, JWP > Pritchard is the best thing to do in your situation imo.

          GW30: JWP > Pritchard
          GW31: Ogbonna, Sterling > BGW31 def, Walcott

Been getting very average scores recently. Should I play a WC?

why gw 32 not gw 31?

Because there are only 4 games and apart from Liverpool players you won't want any other players from that gw in your team !

    Fabianski/Lingard out
    Hennessey/Mkhitaryan in 2 FTs or

    Otamendi/Lingard out
    Schindler/ Sane in

    Thoughts appreciated

If Sterling isn't basically confirmed to be involved, what looks best? Have 2ft.

    A) Keep him, Wilson first bench. Get Schindler for Kenny/Oggy.
    B) Ditch him for Siggy (have Walcott).
    C) Lose Sterling and Kenny for Van La Parra/Pritchard and Coleman in a double switch.

I’m looking at either leaving and save FT for gw31 prep
      or
Sane - just think I need a city asset for this gw

Thoughts on starting niasse over mane or firmino ?

I’m a good bit behind my ML leader and he’ll start the treble pool attack

    Cheers

I don't think so. Pool could easily beat Man Utd by a couple, likewise Everton aren't exactly sure winners.

1 FT and I have £1.2m in the bank; My bench is terrible!

    Pickford
    VVD, Azpil, Mariappa
    Sterling, Shaq, Salah, Mahrez, Arnie
    Kane, Firmino

    Elliot, Niasse, Kenny, Ogbonna

Any idea here? I will be WC in the coming GWs.

Thanks... I'm considering it but feel if sterling doesn't play then my bench is weak! Potentially 0 points on that bench!

I have all three chips still. I have also stopped paying any attention to fpl bar making a quick transfer and my rank shows for it.

When am I supposed to be playing WC, Free hit, bench boost and triple captain...?

Cheers. Works crap so had no time to look for months.

    Lingard should play this weekend.

If Anthony Martial scores against Liverpool on Saturday, Manchester United will have to pay his former club Monaco nearly £9m because of a clause in his contract. (Times - subscription required)

what does the clause say specifically?

ignore it.. he already scored 25 goals for Manchester United and there is no other specific clause which could activate tomorrow

“When he bags his 25th he will trigger a lucrative clause in his contract that will require Manchester United to pay Monaco £8.9million.”

So he won’t play for the rest of the season then?

he scored 82 for United.. more than 25 in PL
