Summer arrival Mohamed Salah may have dominated the Fantasy scene on Merseyside, but the Egyptian is not the only player to have enjoyed a sterling season under Jurgen Klopp.

Roberto Firmino has been near metronomic in his consistency throughout the campaign, dispelling any notion that a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) re-classification (from midfielder to forward) would negatively impact his value.

Indeed, in his first year as an FPL striker, the Brazilian currently ranks third in overall points – a mere four points behind Fantasy royalty, Sergio Aguero.

Firmino’s Premier League track record is a formidable one, having recorded double-digit goals in every one of his Premier League campaigns to date. This year, however, the Liverpool attacker has elevated his goal threat to another level: a total of 14 strikes is already a career high, and his strike rate sits at an all-time peak.

Even so, we now found Firmino suffering heavy sales with managers now distracted by Double Gameweek striker options. The Brazilian is the most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 33, with over 61,000 already disposing of his services.

Does Firmino’s form justify that exodus or is there a risk that he could immediately punish his doubters? Our latest Monitor article examines the data to assess the outlook.

Sorry for repost. was the last post of p3.

    On my Wildcard:

Who should be X for 5.7 or less?

    DDG - Ryan
    Christiensen - Lowton - Chilwell - Mariappa - X
    Sanchez - Salah - Mahrez - Gross/Lingard - King
    Kane - Vardy - Barnes

Tried to keep some differentiators: Sanchez, Kane, Lingard but it is hard because they don't come cheap.

    Ryan
    Tarkowski, Morgan, Christensen
    Salah, Groß, Mahrez, Willian, Son
    Auba, Lukaku

Was toying with transfers earlier and found a punty hokey cokey I like the look of

Sell Salah for a nailed looking City mid going into 37
Sell Mahrez for Salah going into 38

Depends on a reasonable certainty of a city mid being nailed, but if it gets pulled off properly I think having HUD and BRI for a city player could be worth it, as well as getting rid of Mahrez for tot.

haha... have to admit i do have that exact plan in one spreadsheet. But it was to help afford kane in 37. Now he's back early i may have to go back to the drawing board (again).

Might look at this as well provided my team has no other issues that need to be addressed at the time using the FTs - which is unlikely.

I will get Kane. Not just for the stoke game, but also for his double thereafter. City are not impregnable, Everton scored against them, Liv put 4 past them, Lukaku will get a brace off them this weekend. So get Kane now and save the headache.

ohhh that's alot of money to bench one each week.

      Here's the team.

      Lloris(DDG)
      Mustafi, Robertson, Chiwell, Morgan, (Lowton)
      Mahrez, Salah, Willian(Gudmundsson, Lingard)
      Barnes, Aubameyang, Kane

Yeah not bad, I actually like it, and not much you can do with the freed up 1m anyways there except maybe robertson to a double GW defender like Christensen?

          • 10 Years

Yeah. FH in 35, TC in 37. Not sure on Christensen or Chelsea defence unless it's Alonso or Azpilicueta.
Had him since GW20 till last weekend. Not impressed. Really.
But that depends on tonight outcome too. Just in case.

    8. izam
      • 8 Years

Waste of funds and a potential transfer thereafter. You may have a pressing need after your BB so you are either stuck with two expensive keepers or forced to take a hit to sell one, thereby voiding the extra bench point you got earlier.

      1. JustPark
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 1 month ago

Fair point. How's everybody looking at Ryan though? He has horrible fixtures(can't really see cs from any) while Fab, Lossl and Hennessey have much more compelling fixtures to consider.

if you have salah from wk 1 would be mad to get rid, especially if BHA last game.
I do think the Chelsea game in 37 will be interesting... all depends how close Kane gets over the run of fixtures 36-37 to Salah for the golden boot, Salah's well capable of scoring vs chelsea considering they are aiming for nothing now really

WC 32, but yes. Luk to Kane (c) for 33. Aub to Luk (c) for 34. Luk back to Aub for 35. That's the plan anyways.

Can someone tell me if the week you play your free hit chip, do you still bank a transfer for the following week?

Apparently so, if you mean the week after playing it, you will have one free transfer...

Who would you guys rather, Lingard or Gross? Both cost 6.0.

I've got both. If you don't have Lukaku or Sanchez then get Lingard in.

Will likely have Lukaku, but my fear is Lingard rotation. Don't want to just get Gross to simply cover Brighton either. The FA Cup issue is very annoying otherwise Lingard would be my choice. Also, Lingard in one game could outscore Gross in two probably. Lingard also better fixtures all the way to season end by far.

Lingard imo. (Marginally) better player, better team, better fixtures.

A minus 4 worth it next GW if getting Kane, Lukaku, Naughton in for Firmino, Auba, Alonso? Will play FH in GW35.

    Which is better?!

    1. Lingard & Kane (play Barnes in 33 over Lingard)

    2. Son & Vardy (Vardy -> Lukaku 34)

Tbh they should have put Bitm007 in charge of the fixtures, would have been a lot more interesting.
