Recorded prior to Mohamed Salah’s injury scare, the ScoutCast crew already had one curveball to contend with in this latest episode as we mulled over Harry Kane solutions.

Fit-again and primed to skittle the Stoke City defence, Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me to discuss how we go about making plans for Harry ahead of two tempting Double Gameweeks.

Elsewhere in this episode, your community questions steer us to consider the optimum front three, assess Chelsea’s shaky confidence and weigh up the fixtures versus form conundrum that is Marko Arnautovic.

The regular weekend preview is then followed by an extraordinary bout of mind games from Jonty, who appears to have tap into the dark arts to prophesise Salah’s injury two days early. That would explain his rank this season; there’s been voodoo at work.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Decided to WC this week.. FH in GW 35 and BB in GW 37.. this looks about right?
    Ryan Dubravka
    Smalling Jones Mustafi Christensen Morgan
    Mahrez Willian Gross Son Kenedy
    Vardy Kane Aubameyang

    Any glaring mistakes?

Yup.. couldn't decide between the two so I got both for now lol. Wish I had a spare 0.5 for Vertonghen instead.. maybe downgrade gross to gudmundsson? Problem is no double in. Gw 37

Surely Smalling and Jones is very risky with Bailly an option.

Have not looked at it much but SWA should be great enablers for a 37 BB- really good fixtures. I would have 1 if not 2 Swans on a WC with 37 BB planned.

And I would leave cash for something like Auba to Lukaku next week.

Defenders Fernandez or Naughton take your pick.

If you want to splash out elsewhere A.King cheap as chips getting 90 minutes and you might get lucky and getting an attacking return from one of the two games.

    My squad:

    DDG (Ryan)
Morgan - Christensen - Mustafi (Tarkowski, Lowton)
Salah - Mahrez - Gross - Willian (Gudmundsson)
    Vardy - Auba - Lukaku

    0.4M ITB.

My original thinking was to save FT and maybe look at Kane in for a hit next GW by getting rid of Mustafi, Gross/Gud and Auba. With Salah injured this GW I'm tempted to transfer him out for Alli this GW, and then look at a hit next GW to do Mustafi and Auba to Kane and 4.6 defender..

Could also just do Mustafi to a DGW-defender (max 6.8) if Kane doesn't look sharp yet..

Any thoughts? Crazy to get rid of Salah? I will be able to play him in 35 due to FH, so will be maximum 4 games without him..

      Squad is great.
      Original plan I like too.
I think go for the move this week too.
I really can't see Salah getting many minutes. Huge risk of course and what price you bought at etc needs to be considered too.

Who to bring in for Mkhy.

    I need a player who plays this weekend and in 35 as I'm anti-template FH34 😆

    Have 8.7 to spend
    A Arnie?
    B Silva?
    C Ramsey?
D play a swans def in gw35 ( vs City) and bring in:

    1William
    2 Son

I would do and thanks for the option but could he not be at a huge risk of not starting ?

          Ramsey way bigger rotation risk.

Out of A-C, only A is assured a start - so between A and D for me.

I'm in a similar situation - can get 11 out for 35, but on the assumption that Mhiki is out, that does include a Swansea defender in 35.

Nonetheless, considering looking at bringing in Alli despite the lack of 35 (by taking a -4 to downgrade Alonso to Vertonghen). Should pay off over the remainder of the season.

So in short - D (with Son).

      1. Yozzer
        • 8 Years

Thanks mate. Good to hear the thoughts of somone in a similar position to myself. May take the risk then. Son would be my first choice anyway. The kane situation made it harder.

How did you do last gw? With czec and Mkhy I had a bit of a mare myself

          Pretty decent thanks, 64.

Ederson conceding out of nowhere and Mhiki's no-show cost me, but Lejeune's 9 points were gratefully received.

Kenedy and Dummet was 12 points on the bench, but at least that shows strength in depth.

Still looking at getting Kane in for 36 with 2FT. Most probably sacrificing Mahrez.

            • 8 Years

56 for me. I took a few risks. Kept sterling And Bobby and Ota as I had so much value tied up in them and wanted them for 35. Mkhy was always a risk. Czec was just bad luck.

I had 18 points on bench too 🙁

I'd like to lose Bobby for Kane but looks like Mahrez and Auba sadly

Very exact situation and plans. Still thinking what I should do. I have stans that I want to get rid of. I think I would keep mkhi in case he pkays gw35 and transfer out stans.

Cant decide what to do with dgw, have frontline Vardy-Kane-Barnes or Lukaku-Kane-Barnes.
It means Lingard or Alli (triple spurs attack) in the midfield.
    Aarghhh.
My selling price for Salah is 10.4, so definitely going to get him out.

    A) Salah » Alli
    B) Salah and Vardy -4
    » Lingard/Gross and Kane

A means next week Auba to Kane
B means can do Auba to Lukaku next week and have strong frontline but Lingard over Alli.

    1. Albrightondknight

      Kinda hard to follow
Surely Alli and Kane are much more expensive
      Than Lukaku and Lingard
Not sure but the Kane and Lingard option seems popular
If you can afford Kane and Alli in a Spurs triple up might be a nice punt.

Here's one for you bargain bin sleuths...

Best playing (i.e. best chance of playing both matches in the DGW) midfielder who has a double, and UNDER 4.5m?

Will start one at least. Also, can't see any subs coming in as your team will have 10/11 DGW starters.
Only chance of a sub coming on would be a late training injury to a first team player. And you could put a cheap defender first on the bench anyways.

          1. Phil's Stamps
            • 15 Years
            7 years, 11 months ago

For me that would mean upgrading a 3.9 fodder defender to a 4.1 defender, where the choices are even poorer than sub 4.5 midfielders.

You're right, subs are unlikely to play barring an unfortunate situation, but it would be nice to have one DGW playing sub on the bench.

My FH DGW team by the way:

            DDG
            Alonso Vert Smalling Morgan
            Willian Alli Mahrez
            Lukaku Kane Vardy

First sub: Cook, the rest fodder.
0.1 in the bank (fingers crossed on the price changes tomorrow)

That could happen but Salah will play against everton. The only question is, do you mind if Salah plays only 20minutes. I think I do not

Wijnaldum will play against everton so should be on the bench against City

Are people bringing in DGW37 players now?

Doesn’t that feel like wasted spots on your WC for 34? Certainly the likes of West Ham, Palace, Arsenal?

    I’m confused

If Hazard and Alli were similarly priced, who would you prefer for the remainder of the season?

Probably Hazard, but I think Alli is a safer bet

Well I have no choice but keeping him as I dont have a fh chip.. but getting rid now is not a big loss either way if you do have the chip

Yes. Keep him, He will play against everton reduced minutes, Yes. Better to keep than to sell and buy again

Play Firminio this GW or do Firminio to Kane for a -4?

If you have a FH chip and will captain him this week then go for it

I do have the FH chip but I am planning on captaining Aubameyang this week. I think just have Kane against Stoke should counteract a -4 anyway but just wondered what everyone else thought.

    Play any 2 from:
    A. Lukaku (mci)
    B. Sterling (MUN)
    C. Salah (eve)

    And DDG or Ryan?

Depending on Salah news, I would play sterling and kaku... and play ryan

Anyone considering Chambers? You'd think he will slot in at RB or CB for the rest of the season to rest players for the EL.

Could be a bargain, but its a risky one.. arsenal just battered cska and could rest players in the 2nd leg..
