Our open-to-all Fantasy Premier League Cup competition is edging towards its conclusion with just 16 managers left to battle it out in the sixth round.

Always Captain Kun, who is 23rd in the overall rankings, remains the hot favourite as the tournament’s highest placed manager. He already has a top 500 finish back in 2014/15.

The decision to Bench Boost in Gameweek 34’s fifth-round tie against Norman Conquest netted an impressive 107 points and helped him win by a 40-point margin. His chief stars were Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Burnley’s Johann Berg Guðmundsson and his captain Harry Kane, who all delivered double-digit returns.

BroTown_Tindersticks, who is ranked 96,678, faces the daunting task of taking on the cup favourite. Both have their Free Hit and Triple Captain chips left, with the former likely to be deployed by both.

The competition’s second highest placed manager N@th (rank 1,247) has a far trickier encounter. He has been drawn against Dmcqt, who is just 1,712 places behind him and one of six remaining competitors to boast a top 10,000 rank.

N@th’s 108 score in round five proved too much for kevcar’s tally of 73, while Dmcqt had a far closer match with The Matadors, who he edged out 95 to 91. In terms of chips, Dmcqt only has a Free Hit remaining, while N@th has both his Free Hit and Triple Captain chips at his disposal.

The competition’s lowest placed manager Meribenige’s score of 78 in the previous round was just enough to see off Bilbo Baggins (rank 14,968), who could only muster 66 points.

But the 296,8181-ranked minnow will need to ramp up his giant-killing skills to defeat 1,522 placed Batmaniac in the sixth round. This task is made especially difficult as Meribenige only has a Bench Boost chip left and has already taken two hits.

Batmaniac, meanwhile, has both his Free Hit and Triple Captain chips to call on. It seems likely that the former is being deployed and tinkering already underway, given no transfers have been flagged up for his team, and he has 6.1 in the bank.

The full fifth round results can be found here, while the draw for the last sixteen can be found here.

Deleting Berb's post was disgraceful. I see no reason to delete a comment. How many comments we see in a day that are borderline fantasy. But they are never deleted. Why was Berb's predicted line up deleted?

It wasn't a prediction. But let's move on. For the sake of Mark, I won't say anything further.

I'm sure many understand my anger.

The main thing is we all can plan our teams and gain an advantage. I just wanted to help that's all.

I appreciate it, I really do and, to be honest, I was scouring looking for your post when I saw you post that it had been deleted.

I do think we should perhaps request more info before deleting in future so I agree that it wasn't right just removing it immediately.

However, I do stand by the fact that, just to protect all involved, it's good to caveat in some way.

More than anything, I'd like some clues on your sources. I love all the ITK speculation/conspiracy stuff 😉

Anyway, lets leave it there and I'll sort things our end with regards line-ups from now on.

Not wanting to speak on behalf of BF, but I think there’s a text that goes round to a few people. It’s not just to Anfield Express. Anfield express is probably not the source of the leak. They get their team news from another insider.

In similar fashion, others have posted the Chelsea lineups and been scolded for it (although I don’t recall any posts being deleted). Turns out they’re absolutely correct.

This is a message board, so I think we should accept that it could be wrong, could be right.

If it’s posted by FFS, then that’s probably another story.

Despite their track record, nobody knows the Liverpool lineup for sure. Unexpected illnesses or situations can also happen. Klopp may just change his mind last minute. But I’d rather have the info than not.

Agree 100%. That Chelsea situation should have prompted us to get our house in order. It's a tricky one though. I hope I've explained the possible issues. We will get a policy sorted.

No offence taken Berb. Really no need to apologise. I'm all good and I agree we need a policy on potentially leaked line-ups. I'll sort something.

Karius, Gomez, Van Dijk, Klavan, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Ings.

See below. Probably shouldn't have been deleted without us requesting a bit more info on the post.

However, as I've posted elsewhere already, the issue is without a caveat, anyone can post a line-up which could be taken as fact and then we could get folk acting on them.

Then the knock-on is blame and potentially abusive posts towards the orginal poster if they're wrong, which in turn, creates a moderation issue.

We're just asking for a small caveat to declare an ITK and say something like "use as your see fit" or "make of it what you will". It's no biggie but better than leaving folk feeling it's 100% fact and leaving yourself open to repercussions if it's proved incorrect.

And, as mentioned below, I'll mention this to mods so we don't remove without that request in future.

        Hi Mark,

All line ups are always "ITK". No one can have a confirm line up. But STILL u guys have a tab called "Team News" which actually have a 'Most probable line up'. It is, in a way, very similar to what BF did. I think BF sources and news are better than ur TEAM NEWS section(for Liverpool at least). I don't see a difference.

What’s the situation with Koscielny? I’ve heard talk in the past that he has an ongoing injury so Arsenal manage that through limited appearances etc - is that true?

Is Koscielny likely to start given they have a huge game on Thursday?

Only get 7 attacking spots. I'm not too keen on having a Fat Sam player as one.

Based on that prediction I've made a few adjustments.... Thoughts?

      Pickford
      VVD Baines Mustafi
      Zaha Mane Salah Sane Sterling
      Jesus Aubameyang

      Wood Long 3.9 3.9

Is everyone sure Auba is not an option? I am sure he is already peeved he can’t play in Europe, if he doesn’t get to play in PL he is basically frozen out. Saying it’s going to be close to the EL side doesn’t mean exactly like the EL side
