Each week we are reviewing the aggregated predictions on Superbru’s Premier League Predictor game, using the collective Wisdom of the Crowd predictions to guide our fantasy football thinking.

Please join the FFS league here and add your own predictions to the data – the more there are, the more accurate the crowd should be (in theory).

And don’t forget there is £20,000 on offer every week if you get a full house of predictions.

GAMEWEEK 35 REVIEW

Everyone knew that Manchester City would win the first game at the Etihad after being crowned champions, whilst Arsenal were widely expected to beat West Ham.  Liverpool’s draw with West Brom was much more unexpected, although Mohamed Salah kept up his scoring run to keep fantasy managers happy enough.

Here are the Gamweek 35 results in descending order of predictability:

Mark Landreth from the UK won the Yellow Cap in the Fantasy Football Scout league, whilst Mr Crowd Wisdom  – using the aggregated predictions of the crowd – remains in 11th place in the FFS pool out of over 480 players.

The aggregated predictions of the community are making better predictions than most individual players in the game, suggesting there is credibility in the Wisdom of the Crowd concept.

The crowd’s average picks have now taken the Crowd Wisdom user into the top 2% on the global leaderboard.

GAMEWEEK 36 PREVIEW

Here is the Expected Goals chart for each fixture in Gameweek 36:

And here is the ranking of teams in order of Expected Goals Scored and Conceded:

Manchester City are once again at the top of the predicted goals chart, with many people scrambling to acquire players such as Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.

Looking at the predicted goals chart, those selling Salah a few weeks ago may be hiding behind the sofa if he starts against Stoke this weekend.  Tottenham and Chelsea are also expected to score at least two goals too, and Harry Kane looks like another strong captain candidate.

The crowd is also backing Spurs and Liverpool for a clean sheet, with Burnley and Newcastle also expected to keep it tight at the back.

Here are the aggregated predictions that we’ll enter for Mr Crowd Wisdom this week.

Thank you for the positive feedback on these articles this season, hopefully they have added some value – any further comments on what you’d like to see might be useful to see if we can develop this further for the World Cup and into next year.

Good luck!

A bit surprised with the predicted score for Spurs though.

Liverpool won 5 : 0 and Arsenal won 3 : 0 when Watford visited them. Hope for high-scoring game from Spurs too.

It's that time again! Love these articles.

Do we think City will rotate Silva and/or Sterling for the rest of the season?
