The Gameweek begins at Anfield for what appears to be an almighty mismatch between Liverpool and Stoke City.
The Reds come into this encounter needing a win to move second in the table, while the Potters are desperate for points and could even be relegated should the weekend results go against them.
Liverpool are the only unbeaten side at home over the top four tiers, while Stoke arrive on Merseyside with the worst away record across those divisions, having gained just nine points from a possible 51.
They also have the task of silencing Mohamed Salah and preventing him from scoring in his eighth successive home match.
As expected, Salah starts for Liverpool as he seeks out a fifteenth double-figure return of an extraordinary campaign. He has already punished Stoke with a brace in the reverse fixture in just a 23-minute cameo performance from the bench.
It’s a chilling prospect for Paul Lambert’s defence and for any Fantasy manager without the Egyptian, particularly given that Salah is also the most-captained player in the Gameweek yet again.
Elsewhere, Roberto Firmino also starts for the home side. Perhaps necessitated by the injury to Sadio Mane, who misses out today, the Brazilian looks set to shift to the left flank to accommodate his absence as Danny Ings is handed the central striker role.
Firmino was sold by over 80,000 managers ahead of today’s deadline, second only to Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. His form is far less incendiary that Salah’s with just two goals from his last seven Gameweeks, though he has been restricted to five starts over that spell.
In defence, Jurgen Klopp does make further changes and could well line up with a 3-4-3, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alberto Moreno potentially playing wing-back roles.
