Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Man United

Double Gameweek 37 comes to a close at the London Stadium this evening, as West Ham entertain Manchester United at 7.45pm.

The visitors boast three of the top ten players for transfers in ahead of last Friday’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline.

Paul Pogba (147,000) was second only to Raheem Sterling in midfield, Chris Smalling (133,000) was the most bought defender, while over 68,000 turned to Marcus Rashford up front due to Romelu Lukaku’s ankle injury.

Unfortunately for Rashford’s owners, he drops to the bench as Jose Mourinho makes eight changes as a result of Friday’s 1-0 loss at Brighton. Pogba and Smalling, along with David De Gea, are the only players to retain their starts.

Drafted in by 15,000+, the fit-again Alexis Sanchez is back on the teamsheet tonight. Similar to Pogba, he had two double-figure hauls in his four appearances prior to Gameweek 37.

This evening’s line-up suggests that Sanchez could be handed a role up front, with Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw operating as wing-backs.

Meanwhile, De Gea – owned by over 45% – is the Red Devils’ most captained player, with over 61,000 handing him the armband.

For the Hammers, Marko Arnautovic (58,000+) was the main draw ahead of their two matches.

While the Austrian chipped in with an assist in the 2-0 win at Leicester, he was somewhat overshadowed by midfield differentials Joao Mario and Mark Noble. Both grabbed a goal apiece to tally 11 and 10 points respectively so far.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

With so many rotation risks, anything worth a hit for a more nailed player ? Pogba to Zaha maybe....or Barnes to Vokes and bench Austin ?

    DDG*, Ryan
    Valencia*, Lowton, Davies (Kiko*, Morgan)
    Salah, Alli, Pogba*, Salah, Sterling
    Kane, Austin* (Barnes)

Pogba out for a hit is a decent move.

    Fabianski (Foster)

Otamendi, Azpilicueta, Smalling, Van Dijk (Long)
Ramsey, Arnie, Salah (c), Sterling (Kennedy)
    Firmino, Kane (Quaner)

    GTG??

Kept my 3 lfc players last week and hoping they owe me this week..
Using my 1 FT to transfer out Kennedy for bench back up, not taking a hit

Alright boys, I really need your help!

Currently second in the league with 25 point deficit, trying to get that first place.

    Pope - Elliot
    Cedric - Laporte - Dunk - Baines - VVD
    Lingard - Salah - Sane - Son - Milivojevic
    J Ayew - Jesus - Kane

I have BB in GW38, 1 FT and 0.2 in the bank. Any ideas, suggestion, risk I should take to claim that first spot?

    Any help appreciated! 🙂

in fact the money you bank on going kane to auba would mean you could upgrade Elliot to who ever, lloris or courtois maybe

Is this worth a -4 if chasing? Rival has zero Liverpool coverage.

DDG, Sane, Jesus >> Karius, Salah, Firmino

    1. Most likely to get most points out of Tadic and Gross?
    2. Getting Romero in for DDG a good shout?

Chasing 16 points in one of my mini leagues.

He has Salah, Willian, Sane and Jesus.
I have Hazard, Eriksen, Sterling and Jesus.

Should I do Jesus to Firmino for free? I have a feeling Hazard might start and Firmino might outscore Salah.

    Thanks.

looking for anyone who thinks TC Van Aarnholt is a good idea? I'm 45 points now off my rival, I have to take a punt. Auba is my striker but pretty sure he will bring him in. Not overly convinced starting places for De Bruyne or pitch time for my Liverpool assets. Given form, PVA looks like he could keep a cleanie and is a potential goal threat.

He's as good a shout as anyone to make up the gap. Arnautovic another option
