France are expected to register a big win against Australia and keep a clean sheet too, upon looking at the ownership levels of their players.

Antoine Griezmann (£10.0m) is the most popular asset for the fixture, coming into it sat in 25 percent of McDonald’s FIFA World Cup Fantasy squads. In the forwards department, only Lionel Messi (£12.0m) and Neymar (£12.0m) more owners.

N’Golo Kante (£6.0m) is the preferred option in midfield, his 20 percent ownership dwarfing that of Paul Pogba (£9.0m).

There seems to be no faith in Australia to continue their scoring run of ten goals in their last five matches with zero percent ownership for their midfield and attack.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane (£6.0m) and Hugo Lloris (£6.0m) sit in 15 and 13 percent of squads respectively.

If England were playing like this against Australia, we'd be going mad with frustration. France have been awful since that good first ten minutes.

Spot on. People are too critical of England.

Look at how lucky Uruguay got yesterday at the death, again England fans would be questioning what took so long.

Even if we were in Portugal or Spain’s position there would be negativity over conceding 3 goals. Or throwing away the lead.

Australia are an alright team with Prem players. Not sure why everyone is fuming that Griez etc haven't scored.

Set plays can win tournaments like the World Cup.

I wish Southgate had the balls to include Andy Carroll in the squad.

You're 70 minutes into a quarter final and you have 20 minutes to desperately find a goal or you go home. Every team needs a plan B in tournament football.

This is why you have him as an impact sub. They already have 3 other strikers in the team. He could've been given the nod ahead of Welbeck.

          An impact sub ?

          He’d slow down the tempo.

It was bad enough in 2010 when we are 4-1 down v Germany and our impact sub is Heskey.

        He touched the ball

        Shocking decision

Nothing clear and obvious about that

The fact that we are arguing tells me it shouldn't have been given on review. If given then reviewed, I'd agree a pen.

    Griezman goal, no assist.
