Considering PVA to Mendy - I have tomkins already so it would save me doubling up on palace defence against liverpool. Planning an international break wildcard so could be worth it?

Palace had about 6 cs last year so as attractive as pva is a double up isnt ideal. Tomkins carries a goal threat too

I think it’ll be Vardy with Maddison behind him in the hole for most games.

Maybe a Leicester fan on here could shed more light on it.

It's probably 50/50 whether he'll start. Pereira and Chilwell can provide decent width, so Pereira drops back to RB (where he was better) and Maddisson has a fairly free role, with Ihaenacho and Vardy up front working hard.
Ihaenacho was fairly expensive for Leicester and has plenty of talent.

he looked lively against United, but Vardy is Vardy

He broke the law though. Unlikely I know but school holidays too could have meant a kid was in front of front of him. 300+points a season doesnt make it ok or him above the law. Using phones and driving is the deadliest blight of our era Im afraid.

How nailed is Mendy? With his assist potential and fixtures I’m considering a straight switch from VvD tonight before possible price rise. Good or bad idea?!

hard to say mate, Delph did ok in that position last year but doesn't exactly play into Pep's way of thinking. He could play Sane as a wing back but he wasnt great there either, much better in a front 3. VVD could still outscore him, also center backs get rotated less in general.

I did the same switch yesterday. I like vvd as a defender, but he seems to contribute nothing offensively. Mendy is more explosive, but might get rotated, so it is a bit of a risk admittedly.

I don't put much stock into preseason. He does get opportunities to score, but very rarely takes them. But maybe he's just due, who knows. Also, I already have robbo, so doubling up on pool defenders seemed a bit much...

I will sell Salah and look to bring Kane in after the Soutahmpton game. There's no way I'd have the balls to captain Salah away to Chelsea and City. Will bring him back in most likely after that when I wildcard after GW 8.

Kane plays Huddersfield away and Cardiff at home in the same 2 gameweek period. Its highly unlikely that Salah will outscore him against Chelsea away and City at home.

          Amen!

Surely it will also depend on what prices have done in the meantime. If he goes on a run, he could already be at 13.5 by then, and will you want to pay any more than that to get him back in?

I have Robbo Salah and Mane, and plan on keeping the 3 all season.

I am debating between getting in De Bruyne or Sterling right now. Whoever I get (barring injury) I will keep until GW 7 after which time I will wildcard. City's fixtures up until then are: Huddersfield (H), Wolves (A), Newcastle (H), Fulham (H), Cardiff (A), Brighton (H). Who would you rather have over that period? Sterling or De Bruyne?

I have Mahrez and I can see him making a big impression. Pep was determined to get him.

I definitely would. Sane is not up to fitness yet and his place is rotatable.
I’m considering switching Sanchez to Mane

I would advise everyone to keep the free transfer. But sane is a hard one. You can't really stick with him if he doesn't play. If we know that he starts against hud I would keep him one more gw. But could be both starting or on the bench. I can't tell you

Hi Guys! Looking in to bring in Mendy but not sure whether to do it for David Luiz or Van Aanholt... Considering I do have Wan Bissaka also on the bench. Who would you get rid of??

Also does anyone have a link to an FPL price rise site? I'm afraid Mendy might go up in price tonight and don't want to risk it. Thanks amigos 🙂

Guess PVA if you plan to play AWB, although would personally keep PVA. Great fixture run after liverpool.
      http://fplstatistics.com/ - it's still guesswork though.

Get Mendy in. Luiz doesn't offer much going ahead and might be rotated in coming weeks as Saari figures out he's too slow in a back 4.

I m considering doubling up on PVA and WB from GW3 onwards. Had WB on the bench this week and still scored 107.

Mendy, Robtertson, PVA, WB from GW3 onwards from me. 🙂

Will prices rise for Shaw? I would have imaging prices would have raised by now?

Will Shaw keep his place until Valencia back?

The logical move would be for Young to the line-up on the opposite flank in place of Darmian.

    Any Manchester Utd fans?

    Thanks

Also planning this transfer but with Eriksen instead of Mane. I have Mane also and would definitely keep him. His next 2 fixtures are far better than Hazard's (Palace away and Brighton home vs Arsenal at home and Newcastle away). I'm gonna bring in Haz in GW 4 when they're at home to Cardiff. Would like to do it in GW 3 but dont think its worth a hit then.

It is, but Sarri might find a way to keep him with his attacking football, i expect to see Hazard should he stay as a false nine like Sarri did with Dries

Nope. Hold Mane till GW3 at least.
Gain from the price increase, his solid start, Liverpool fixtures.
Also, not the most urgent charge as Mane is on penalties just like Hazard.
