Adding on to my previous post, there's a guy playing FPL called Siddhart Jain who has 4071 teams under the same manager name, with many of them sharing the same team name.

One of his teams is actually ranked 370th in the world: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/team/3956451/event/2

If you check his leagues, he's in them with other people who also have thousands of accounts:
    - https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/leagues/standings/871504/classic

Here's a list of all his teams: https://pastebin.com/raw/MePVWkzx

    Please report him: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/help/

    Thanks 🙂

It's likely, there are similar patterns with a guy who is in his league:

      How u can trace him?

      1. stat

I scraped team info of over 5M teams so I could find the most popular team names, and then I had the idea of checking the most popular team name + player name combination, and the top of the file was littered with accounts made by "Rishab Sharma", with several different team names, with each team being duplicated about 40 times.

I visited one of them and found the leagues he is in with tons of his own accounts (unless he knows over 4200 people called "Rishab Sharma" who often use the same team names).

"Rishab Sharma" is in leagues with teams whose team names are shared with his own, but the manager name is often different (Siddhart Jain, Saqib Khan, Kumar Shivam, Thomas John). So this is potentially 1 person with over 25,000 accounts.

Sterling work there. Are you reporting this directly to FPL Towers?

            8 years, 3 days ago

Yes, I've contacted them through https://fantasy.premierleague.com/help/ but I'm hoping that other people report them too, so it's more likely that the people running FPL will see the reports and ban the accounts.

Here are the leagues I found with what appears to be his teams in them:

Every extra account you have is an extra shot at winning FPL or gameweek prizes. Since most people play fair and only have 1 team, it puts them at a disadvantage when some idiot goes and makes 20,000 teams.

There was a person on here a couple of years ago called Thomas and he used to brag about having different teams. One would inevitably do well and he would post that teams link after every week. He was reported and FPL removed his most successful duplicate accounts.

This is on a whole different scale. I imagine they will take it seriously. Good work!

I wonder if it's the same guy, as there's a member in their league called "Thomas John" who has a ton of accounts.

Cheers, please spread the word if you're able to. These accounts have to be banned.

What are the chances of back to back hatrick's for Kun this weekend or do we think Wolves will be a sterner test defensively for City to break down as opposed to Huddersfield last weekend!?

This is my thinking too. Wves have been far from decent defensively, and for some reason i can see Brighton maybe putting on a very stubborn display.

Being a Norwich fan, I don't see a Chris Hughton side coping with Liverpool's attacking force well at all. Granted their team now is better than ours was under Hughton but his strong point was always home games vs big teams (ie last weekend), a 5-0 really wouldn't shock me

Thought i may as well post my WC team while it’s quiet and will be busy af on here tomorrow.

    Ederson
    Robertson - Alonso - Mendy
    Richarlison - Mane - Mkhi - Salah - Pedro
    Aguero - Ings
    ———————————————————
    Hamer: Kamara, Bennett, AWB

I know there’s flaws, weak bench, lack for manoeuvre on forwards where it would require 2 transfers or more to jump on a Kane/Auba, but i’m hally with it, sacrifices and all that. Have asked a lot of questions on options prefered to get to this team, and it’s the first day i haven’t tweaked anything.

    Opinions much appreciated.

Midfield looks very heavy however have a lot of template players.

With hazard coming back Pedro/William likely to share minutes so I would downgrade Pedro to Frazer and then upgrade ings

This could be an option if deciding to at a later time, but more than happy for Pedro to be given the chance, he always seems to be involved and grabs something. Good opinion though thank you.

I'm not keen.... I think going so heavy in defence and thus having a weak bench and lacking manoeuvrability is a bad idea in a WC team.

How would you even jump to Kane/Auba? Only way I can see is sacrificing Salah and I wouldn't want to commit to that either.

      1. Salah’s Sonnet
        • 15 Years
        8 years, 3 days ago

But it’s pretty much an absolute ball ache to fit Kane or Auba in without sacrificing positions i don’t want to change, and not losing Salah you’re right 🙂
Kane has like 8 away games in next 12, and at his price, just not worth it imo.......yet. Auba is a wait and see, could be Mkhi that reals all the rewards, we just don’t know.
LOTS of points from defence and mids this season, forwards barring Aguero are failing to impress thus far, granted it has only been 2 GW’s.

With expensive defense and attack expected to provide big returns (Aguero, Auba, Kane; Alonso, Robo, Alonso), is it a good idea to go light in the mid? For instance selecting among Richarlison, Pereyra, Fraser, Pedro, Walcott, Mkhi. etc along side 1 or 2 premium mids.

    Ederson (Hamer)
    Mendy Alonso Trent (Stankovic, Wan-Bissaka)

    Aguero Zaha Ings

I am thinking Salah to hazard as if milner is not on the pitch mane could be on pens.

Want to see what happens with this before selling mane as if on pens could match Salah and save you 3 m

I dont really see a good way to spend that 3m though with hazard in the team. it leaves you with 10m or so and its not like laca is an option at the moment which is who I would want to spend the money on

dropping salah looks better if its for auba/kane partnered with another premium mid like pog/ozil

          • 9 Years

Mourinho doesn't like Shaw to begin with, is always one big mistake from being dropped + Young to contend with for the spot. Was the main reason I didn't have Shaw at the start of the season. If you don't have Bavies, I'd probably wait until GW6 to get him in

Though if Shaw is injured now, you could bring in Bavies (granted you have Robbo and Mendy) and hope you get a couple good scores in the next 3 GWs. Even if not, his fixtures afterwards should make the wait worth it

    A quick message to wildcarders.

    1) Just because a player scored well in gw1&2 doesn't make them a good option.

    2) Just because a player scored badly in gw1&2 it doesn't make them a bad option.
    3) Just because a player is template it doesn't make them the best option.

    4) A wildcard should be used to be proactive. Bring in players that others do not have. Not a method to just pick the most popular players already owned.

    5) A wildcard is there to strengthen your whole squad. You will need it pre-2nd wildcard. It is difficult to strengthen a very week bench once it is played. It isn't just about the first 11.

I have finished top 80k in 11 of the past 12 seasons.
My game plan is to play the market a little first half of season and then 2nd half get the top players

Note last year this did not work that well as they changed the price rise % and was harder for players to rise and hence get a nice team value

Hence using wildcard early is not as good as it might have been a few years ago

    2. Amateur Pundit Zan

I used to think that until yesterday but then I found a way to squeeze in all the template players I want with a bench of Hamer, Bennett, AWB, Kamara so now I’m doing that 🙂

      1. marko_v_111
        • 16 Years
        8 years, 3 days ago

Becareful of a weak bench with mid week games kick in and rotation starts.

        1. Amateur Pundit Zan
          • 13 Years
          8 years, 3 days ago

Yeah I get that, for me as long as my bench is playing I’m ok

AWB been good enough to get that spot back straight away

Bennett been playing ok so hopefully he good as well.

          Not expecting anything from Kamara.

A strong bench is obviously better than a weak bench but has to be in the context of your first team as well.

For me I could have Hughes, Alonso, decent bench or Rich, Trippier, crap bench

So I’ve gone the Rich route.

I can always downgrade Rich or Dilva to 5m and pump up my 4th defender, maybe even play 4-4-2, just takes a couple of moves, it’s not that hard to improve your bench without a wildcard.

Pogba is a trap and Stankovic could drop out for Mooy

Any advice please lars. On a wildcard

    ** Hamer
    Mendy TAA ** Bennett AWB
    Salah Rich Pedro ** **
    Aguero Auba **

    A) Mane, Hennessey, Pereira, Kante

    B) Miki, Ederson, Alonso, Ings

Either 343 or 352. Fitting Salah, Kun, Auba, Mane looks nice but team suffers elsewhere

B, the choice is mane or auba or hazard realistically (unless you go no Mo)

    @TM

If you were on WC now, would you choose Mane or Aub?

Who to drop out of Salah Mane Aguero Aub?

        All 4 is very expensive

I have all 4 but of course you will be weak elsewhere!

          Ederson
          Robertson Mendy Cedric
          Kante Salah Mane Richarlasion
          Auba Ings Aguero

          Hamer Schderlin Wan B Peltier

Hard question on a WC given captaincy.
Could be much easier next week or later for those WCers.

Yeah, not working. "around" makes it look like "minus" 🙂
