      Huge benching headache every week...

Play Pickford (at Bournemouth - likely with Coleman, Zouma, Keane and Digne in front) or Foster (home to Palace but against Zaha et al)? Thinking might just toss a coin

    1. Differential C (Mark)
      8 years, 1 month ago

Pickford. I think both have about the same chances of a CS, so I'd go for the one who imo will have more saves.

    Two quick questions:

    Who to start?
    A) D Luiz (new)
    B) Bavies (mun)

    Who to captain?
    1) Mané (BRI)
    2) Aguero (wol)

Mane playing safe and Kun maverick. Ah to be so young and naive

        1. My Name Is Pepu
          8 years, 1 month ago

That's because people here think that Kun is a rotation risk + he won't do well because it's an away game.

I'm headstrong with my thinking and I feel Kun (c) is the way to go this week.

          Worldie!

Great starting XI tho, you might have to sort out your bench in a week or 2 in case of a no-show. Unless you're gonna WC soon.

          1. GunSlinger07
            8 years, 1 month ago

Maybe.....never really invested in my bench 2bh and Wan Bisaka is a gift lol. From my 11 Schlupp and Pedro are my worries, everyone else should be fine i reckon.

Aguero will probably see some rotation too .... you could get a bad day with Schlupp, Pedro & Kun benched 🙁

              Hopefully not though

    Hi guys!
Been having this question in my head for the past week.

    Alonso vs mkhitaryan vs lacazette

    Who should i prioritise?
    Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

    1. arndff_
      8 years, 1 month ago

Laca isn’t nailed on it seems.
Think it’s between Alonso and Mkhi.
Depends on who you’re going to ditch.

    2. GunSlinger07
      8 years, 1 month ago

      Alonso

    3. My Name Is Pepu
      8 years, 1 month ago

      Laca not nailed.

      Mkhitaryan might be rotated.

Alonso plays like a winger + picks up clean sheet points.

Higher points ceiling and cheaper than the other two.

      1. arndff_
        8 years, 1 month ago

Think Emery likes Mkhi, doesn’t he?

I bought Mkhi and Alonso this GW.
Both teams with some good fixtures.

        1. My Name Is Pepu
          8 years, 1 month ago

Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Rambo, Laca, Iwobi vying for 3 spots behind Auba.

A couple of poor performances (which he is very capable of) and he might find himself on the bench.

What do you guys think of following moves for -4pts next week. Aware of risk factor but incoming players are quality atleast...

    Salah to hazard
    Mane to david silva
    King to kun

      8 years, 1 month ago

      What’s your current team?

      1. Holmes
        8 years, 1 month ago

        Ryan, Etheridge
Walker, Van Dijk, Kabasele, Hoedt, Wan Bissaka
        Salah, Mane, Richarlison, Fraser, Kante
        Aubameyang, Tosun, King

        1. arndff_

Nah... too much of a risk.

          1. Holmes
            8 years, 1 month ago

Wont captain Salah for around 5 weeks and I have some doubts over Mane's output in coming weeks. Lets see, Thanks

    2. GunSlinger07
      8 years, 1 month ago

I can understand maybe sacrificing one pool player but two is madness

      1. Holmes
        8 years, 1 month ago

Mane is pretty much locked to go out. Salah was also going out for Sterling but last week benching has installed some doubts. Considering different alternatives, might end up keeping Salah though...

        1. arndff_
          8 years, 1 month ago

          Mane, King to:
          a) Hazard, 5.6
          b) 4.9, Kun

          If I calculated it right...

          1. Holmes
            8 years, 1 month ago

Have 1.4 in bank, so Hazard with Zaha is possible. B option will make midfield week, so probably not a good idea

    Wait, wait, wait, goddamnit wait!

Every year the same old pattern of knee jerk transfers. This week I had miraculously saved a transfer (so rare), and decided to early transfer king (to avoid a 0.1 drop) and Boly for Robertson and Kamara (couldn’t afford Mitrovic)... holding onto Lacazette for another week. Days later emery says he won’t start laca - I could have kept king instead and got Mitrovic. Dang. I may be a bearded old man, but I’m not patient!

    1. Bolivian Seaman
      8 years, 1 month ago

I kept a free transfer and got Hazard. But I'm not happy about it, he probably won't start and there will be a late flurry from spanish giants trying to sign him. Should've just bought mane for this week

    3. noquarternt
      8 years, 1 month ago

It's hard when so many non casual picks are firing from the off. Most have had a great start on here so makes sense to make some moves.

  18. bdwhite91
    8 years, 1 month ago

Does anyone here have a good memory of their triple captain production? I'm considering using it in a single gw because in my memory, DGWs seem to disappoint quite often whether it be due to rotation or just lack of production. Cheers

    1. Speédy
      8 years, 1 month ago

Last year, double GW's were a fail yes. But the season before, many BB and TC squads produced 180 odd points in GW 37. Sanchez got 25,Kane got 27 points and they were the obvious TC choices.

      1. noquarternt
        8 years, 1 month ago

If Liverpool had beaten WBA in the cup last year everyone would've TC'd him v Bou and...Watford...

    2. Bolivian Seaman
      8 years, 1 month ago

I triple captained Payet and it went very well during a double gameweek. Sanchez as well, he got something like 30 points. Last year was the first double gw fail for me and most people. I'd still use it for dgws

    3. MAVER!CK
      8 years, 1 month ago

Gave it to Kane last season, I think it in some odd dgw not the usual 'after 30' ones..He gave me 1+2, so mere 9 points. It wasn't a hit in other DGWs either if I remember correctly

    4. Karan_G14
      8 years, 1 month ago

Sanchez & Aguero got 25 points each in 15/16.

Sanchez & Kane got 25+ points each in 16/17.

It’s really only been a disappointment last year.

Awesome thanks for your input guys! I think last year I put it on Aguero vs Newcastle on it was a mega fail! Salah is tempting this week, and then Aguero again vs Newcastle is tempting, but I guess I will go with the herd as I usually do with this.

      1. Albrightondknight
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        8 years, 1 month ago

Double GWs can be great I think it just feels worse when they fail.
Being used to 180+ with chips in dgws and then barely scraping 100 was horrible. But only one fail year maybe still the way to go.

    7. Carlton_Goal
      8 years, 1 month ago

I remember when my flatmate used it on Aguero when he scored 5 against Newcastle. No good memories of myself though, and I usually go for double gameweeks so you might be onto something

    8. Oven Glover
      8 years, 1 month ago

With rotation being more frequent, especially in the top teams, I think we could see a increasing number of managers taking their chances in a sgw.

      1. bdwhite91
        8 years, 1 month ago

I am so tempted. Theres definitely more certainty right now before multiple cups. City and Liverpool havent shocked anyone with their goal scoring capability.

So I have Salah and Auba WC boils down to this choice is Mane worth it

In A Bennett, Stephens or even Kamara may play occasionally when Wan-B not available

    A. Mane Wan-B Hennessey
    B. Mkhi Bellerin Ederson
Thanks for replies really stuck on this. Maybe risk A for a few weeks and revert to B then?

Bellerin has been very bad defensively in the first two games. Won't be surprised to see Lichtsteiner get a game there.

What 5.5 would you take on a WC over him.
Got Alonso Mendy in addition to those mentioned above.

B but Ederson to 4.5 and Bellerin to Alonso? Or at least a Mendy/Robertson?

Leaving Ederson out might be good if any City mid starts nailing a place. I had Bilva from start but no confident even he stay in the starting 11 without rotation for too long.

    Wild Card Criteria:
Look approx 5 weeks ahead and not just the next match.
Wild Card early to get price rise/drop benefits.
Choose fixture proof players as the backbone of your side.
Ensure there are easy routes to players you might need later.
    Can anyone add to this?

I forgot the temp team for prices again this WC. If I do it again I am literally punching myself in the face.

If you are dumb. It's having done it before that is the annoying part. Should know better just get caught up on the team you like.
Screenshot is the way to go.

          1. Eze Really?
            8 years, 1 month ago

A lot do it because you start analysing your side when seeing other teams and realise you can get more out of a WC than first thought.
I have avoided it by pre-determining when I will use it. Pretty simple this year due to world cup return rotations and the mass of easy fixtures from GW3.
Not the end of the world though. Good luck going forward mate.

Okay I have a question..On wildcard, what do people mean when they say build team value first by temp team and then Build a team you want on last day..You don't gain anything if a player's price rises just once before you transfer him out right? And players who do rise twice, will most probably

      1. MAVER!CK
        8 years, 1 month ago

be the once that are in demand or a must haves..in this case Mendy, Mane, Aguero, Richa. So how exactly do you build a team value?

      2. KING KOUNDER
        8 years, 1 month ago

        You answered it yourself mate.
You make money only if someone you don't need rises 0.2.

      3. Eze Really?
        8 years, 1 month ago

Press the button early and build a team with prospective risers and move out potential drops. At the end of the week your TV will rise and then do surgery to what you want. I think drops are most important to keep an eye on.
If you press the button late, you will be paying premium for players and may lose money in the old side who drop in price.

Oh most important point don't forget to change the temp team back to the actual team before deadline 🙂

And the horrors stories of people taking -32 knowing they will activate WC and forgetting to do so.

I’m stuck with Ramsey in my draft and considering what to do - I’m top and most good players gone so need to think outside the box. Worth a punt swapping for Iwobi do you think? Obviously on draft don’t need to worry about wasting transfers so the risk being stuck with a worse option than I had before.

Also stuck with Lacazette but no idea what do with him, options very limited and Ings will go early so might just gamble on him getting some productive involvement.

  26. Carlton_Goal
    8 years, 1 month ago

What do people think about Arnie at the moment? As a West Ham Fan I like having him in my team but I may be a bit biased. Do people think Mitrovic/Zaha are better options or do all of them have similar potential?

    1. jack149331
      8 years, 1 month ago

not worth transferring him out just yet I think give him more time to get back to his pre season form

    2. Karan_G14

3 decent fixtures for him. Will sell him after GW5 if needed. He’s on pens too so probably worth keeping for now.

In the don't sell, don't buy category for me.

Zaha is certainly a better pick (for now)...Mitrovic, much of a muchness.

Arnie has Arsenal this week...that defence ain't amazing, good chance he scores this week IMO

Any update on his involvement this week?

If not, I would probably swap him for Richy.
Will be for a hit, but worth since I wouldn't have anyone coming from my bench.
Peltier AWB and Chalobah on my bench.

Id wait as long as possible for news, don’t think we have any yet. If he’s fit he’s not worth the hit, if he’s not then free reigns on whoever you’d like.

Having a bit of fun rating teams with marks out of 10.
Firstly it is only my opinion.
Secondly it is not for the next gameweek but over a period.
My mind on rating, like everyone, changes all the time.
Any conclusion I can gather, is the people on this site have very similar ratings.
When I say average, I am not talking about casuals, but you clever sods!
