It’s that time of the week again when we give you the chance to put your questions to our panel of Fantasy Premier League managers.

However, the talking points shift a little bit this time as we head into the first international break of the season.

We’ve assembled another panel of three Fantasy managers this week and will be bringing you a different set for each Gameweek over the course of the season. They are here to answer any questions you might have relating to the international break.

You can find out what their answers are Monday.

Who’s on the panel this week?

James Egersdorff – You can’t get much more experienced than this man when it comes to FPL. After yet another season inside the top 5,000 managers in 2017/18, James now sits top of the Fantasy Football Scout ‘Hall of Fame’.

Tom from Who Got the Assist? – One half of one of the fastest growing FPL podcasts of recent times.

What’s the best way to get Alonso into this team?

    Alisson - Hamer
Mendy - Robertson - Pereira - Wan Bissaka - Bennet
    Salah - Hazard - Mkhitaryan - Walcott - Brooks
    Aguero - Mitrovic - Jimenez

I like Patricio. Class keeper, good fixtures coming up and bookies have good odds on Wolves finishing well in EPL.

Defender wise. I think it'll have to be either Pereira or Bennet. I'm not really sure.

Pereira: Not a fan of Puel but Leicester has played well recently. (Dunno why) Good fixtures coming up too. But if you're going to bench him (5.1m), he might as well go.

Bennet: Nightmare of a upcoming fixture and bookies have them as relegation targets.

He’s so attacking it’s like having a 6th midfielder that also gets 4 pts per clean sheet.

Would Salah really need to be rested that much?

    - Got 20 mins rest yesterday.
    - Will rest in the international break
    - Fit and need to play against Spurs
    - Need to play against PSG tuesday
    - 3 days rest before Soton, will probably play but taken off at 70 ~
    - Need to play against CFC
    - Need to play against Napoli wednesday
    - Need to play against City

I don’t think he will be rested, I just think that even if he returned 9 points every week it wouldn’t be enough given what the spare change could do to a team without him in it.

    1 FT £0.6m ITB - what do?

    Ederson*
    Alonso Mendy Robertson
    Hazard Mane Mkhi Wally*
    Aguero Wilson Zaha*

    Subs: Hamer AWB Bennett Guendouzi

Ederson 1 clean sheet in 4, potentially another £1.1m for the kitty. Then the other two * are obvious. What would you do?

    1. After Supper Ghost Stories

Going to sell Peltier (4.0) today before he drops, to a Wolves defender.

    Got 0.4 in the bank.

    Doherty (4.4) - passed the eye test on MOTD this weekend and got into some good attacking positions;
    Jonny (4.4) - got 3 bonus points but didn't see him at all on the highlights;
Bennett (4.0) - like for like swap price wise, but looks set to rise.

Would like him to be relatively secure starter too.

    Any advice please?

    Thanks

Doherty more attacking than Jonny but both good value. All this talk of Bennett not nailed is hype. He is playing well and no reason to get dropped so depends if you want to use the 0.4 for the better attacking returns of Doherty imo...

bou, HUD, new, EVE, ars, WHM, car, BUR, bri, WAT, ful all the day until December.

      Past 3 season's he's had 24G, 8A/ 13G, 8A/ 20G, 2A.

Just feel like if he's going to return similar figures this season he'll get the bulk with this run of fixtures.

Aubameyang in the last chance saloon for me today. A single digit score will need to be accompanied by a good performance. A double digit score and I'll probably hold. A blank and he's out - I may even wildcard. Any other owners feeling the same?

    1. Volley127
      • 13 Years

Exactly the same. Frustrating so far when I look at the likes of Mitro etc, not to mention that sitter vs chelsea.

Yeah. I have Mkhi but if Arsenal can’t rack up goals vs WHU and CAR then you have to wonder. They could have scored 5 vs Chelsea but didn’t. Should haves are not goals though and nearly 11 million is too high to be carrying.

    3. MJFainty
      • 10 Years

Is the feeling that he should have been fixture proof then? Because otherwise, presumably you got him in for this great run of fixtures Arsenal now have?

It was only the Man City game I was happy to see through as a blank. They've scored 6 goals against Chelsea and West Ham and he hasn't been involved. Given his form last season that's a huge surprise and disappointment.

I've got Robby, Salah and Firmino.

Debating WC as I've a host of other issues. But now's the time - Firmino to Mane?

    1. After Supper Ghost Stories
      • 7 Years

Personally I would and it frees up another good attacking place.

    2. Ser Davos
      • 10 Years

      I did that exact move.

Mane's already matched his bonus for the entire of last season.

Outside of Vardy, there's very little alternative to Firmino and I think it's folly to starve your team of a 9.5-10.5 mid.

One thing that's changed this week is that keeping the likes of Salah, Kun, Hazard etc. in one side was (for a lot of people) reliant on starting AWB each week. After yesterday, (and with Tomkins injured), I'd suggest it takes him from 11th man to perma bench and subsequently, rather than having six attackers, downgrading Salah allows for 7 very good ones.

    Hope that makes sense.

Some may still go for four at the back, but outside of RAM, I'm not sold, particularly the value in Bennett, AWB and the 6-7m range of mids/forwards.

Afternoon all, hope everyone is having a bloody lovely Sunday??

I just wanted to get opinions on my team and whether the IB WC is worth considering?

I took the decision to play the beginning of this season with no premium strikers and so far it’s working (currently 8k). But I’m wondering if there are some potential issues just around the corner for this team.

    Kepa / Stek
    Robbo / Mendy / Luiz / AWB / Tomkins
    Salah / Mane / Hazard / Mkhi / Cairney
    Arnie / Ings / Mitro

Cheers and best of luck with today’s games

    1. BenDavies

Apart from lack of Alonso (who is essential) and odd choice of Kepa, it's a great team.

I’m keeping an eye on Kepa, but he’s given me a couple of returns so far and I’d like to think (as a fan) that Chelsea will only improve at the back going forward.

        Thanks for the input!

Dont normally do this but RMWCT, all thoughts and comments appreciated:

    Hennessey - Hamer
    Trippier - Alonso - Mendy - Monreal - TAA
    Hazard - D.Silva - Mkhitaryan - Kante - Chalobah
    Aguero - Vardy - Wilson

Thinking is to have heavy defense for value and a strong bench to handle rotation on City and the full backs.

If (more like when but I will humour you), a back 5 no longer looks good value, how are you going to switch from your 5-3-2 to 3-4-3? That is some pure sh1te in Kante and Chalobah.

I would maybe look to downgrade Vardy for a better 4th mid. When you consider that Mitro would free up 2.1m for a bigger hitter in the middle.

Depends what formation you’re looking to play I suppose. This looks like you’d be going between 5-3-2 and 4-3-3? In which case the additional mid may not be necessary.

    Salah > Haz
    Peltier > Alonso

Already have Mane and Luiz so would be doubling up on Chelsea defenders.
    2FT's and WC remaining.

    Thoughts?

Schurrle's underlying stats are very nice for his price hmm, anyone thinking of getting him as a cheap 4th or 5th mid?

City away next and Mitro looking irresistable means he misses out.

Still may double up though as they both could prove terrific value.

I am still worried about Mitro. We forget he was an awful Newcastle player once and he can go seriously off the boil. Calum Wilson / Ings I'd rather at this point to be honest. Could pay off though.

Looking good, seems to like a bit of rotation around the wide players at Fulham though so I’d much rather have Mitrovic.

Until I WC Salah back in around gwk 9, I can’t decide between:
    A - Kane and Mkhi
    B - Hazard and Vardy
Who would you go for and why? Thanks

Bennett over Boly since you'll never play him anyway and the £0.5m could come in handy.

    To wildcard or not?

    Fab/Fos
    Mendy Robertson Tomkins WB Peltier
    Salah B.Silva Mkhi Walcott Cairney
    Aguero Firmino King

Would likely only hold on to Mendy, Robertson, WB, Salah (?), Mkhi, Aguero but could maybe get away with a -4 to get Alonso in.
