Harry Kane (£12.5m) is already the runaway leader of our Gameweek 8 captain poll, but do those currently not in possession of the Spurs forward need to sign him?

That is the big question on the minds of many Fantasy Premier League managers this week, especially with Liverpool and Manchester City options potentially cancelling each other out.

We’ve gone over some of Kane’s numbers from the first seven Gameweeks and compared them with how he was faring 12 months ago, to see if it’s worth selling the likes of Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) or Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) to get him in.

    WC team after this week

    Dubravka Fabiankski
    Yedlin Rice TAA Robbo AWB
    Hazard Salah Maddo Knockaert Billing
    Aguero Arnie Mitrovic

    2.0 ITB

Considering Aguero - > Gray And Knockaert -> Sterling though. I don't see an Aguero captaincy in the near future assuming Salah hits some form.

The thing is he has gotten 0 attacking returns in 3 of the last 4 games and his goal against SOU was a fluke....very alarming...that's why i'm thinking of keeping Kane until GW9

Evaluating for two gws till I WC in gw10

    1) Bennett (cpl, WAT) + Zaha (WOL, eve)
    2) Doherty (cpl, WAT) + King (wat, SOT)

    A) Robbo (MCI, hud) + Hazard (sot, MUN)
    B) Doherty (cpl, WAT) + Salah (MCI, hud)

Am inclined towards 1B as I think zaha is more of talisman for palace compared to king and favour salah marginally more then hazard

      1A for me

2B isn't an option. A includes Robertson which given MCI isn't ideal for just 2 weeks. Leaves 1B

    *Begovic, *Boruc
    Alonso, Robertson, Trippier, *PVA, AWB
    *Salah, *Bilva, Richarlison, *Walcott, *Cairney
    Aguero, *Zaha, Mitrovic

    Time to Wildcard?

    Looking at this lot:

    Ryan, Button
    Alonso, Trippier, TAA, AWB, Bennet
    Hazard, Sterling, Maddison, Richarlison, Obiang
    Kane, Arnautovic, Mitrovic

Can pivot between Kane and Aguero and between Sterling and Mane.

Have exactly money, so Sterling rising tonight is an issue.

Thoughts? Our should I wait for International break???

This. And you need a Pool attacker for their upcoming run. Of the top 3 attacking sides they have by far the easiest run so going without on a WC is a bad idea.

    2. AllanM

I think you should wildcard that team.

Not sure you have the WC team right but you have a few days to play with it.

He looks woeful though... Underlying stats are off the bottom of the charts.

But Kun played 90 today so who knows, he's either getting subbed off early or subbed on with 30 to go if they're chasing the game.

But we saw on the weekend that he can still make an impact on the game in limited time, that’s just the type of player he is. And it’s also a positive sign that he played the whole game so his small injury he was carrying must’ve gotten better.

Yes, its true Aguero has a slit knock and 90mins. And Liverpool v Man City
When you have Hurricane storming through Cardiff defense at Wembley!
But lets wait for Spurs v Barcelona first to see how Tottenham H. Kane come out of it.

Klopp - Salah needs to relax

Jurgen Klopp has given a pep talk to star striker Mohamed Salah as he seeks a revival in confidence and swagger heading into Wednesday's Champions League group tie in Naples.

It is about your confidence. His game is really good. His last game was really good – he was in the positions but then the last two balls were not too cool. That happens. He lost balls in those situations last year. How do you deal with it? Be relaxed, completely relaxed, because there is no need for anything else. Completely relaxed. The quality is there and so everything is fine.”

“Even Harry Kane. They talk about this, and now he scored last week two goals. Nefore that, he was 'not even half he was last year' - that is what people were saying, stuff like that.”

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/10/02/jurgen-klopp-mohamed-salah-needs-relax/

While Klopp proposed a course of relaxation therapy for Salah, teammate Gini Wijnaldum says it is only a matter of time before the goals flow. He revealed an extreme goalscoring challenge.

“I’ve told him that he’s got to get more hat-tricks,” said Wijnaldum.

“He’s had enough of scoring twos, he has to get three. I told him I expect more hat-tricks this season. Last year there was only one. He said that I was right. I told him, ‘Mo, you are a top player. If you look at Messi and Ronaldo, they score a lot of hat-tricks – you have to do the same if you want to compete with them.’

Get a feeling since winning the pfa poty he feels pressured to match last years performances, and because he hasn’t, the media, fans etc are causing him to lose the confidence we saw last season. Confidence and staying calm are very important for a footballer so hopefully he takes Klopps advice on board!

    Fab
    Alonso | Trippier | Robertson | Doherty
    Salah | Hazard | Mane | Fraser
    Aguero | Wilson

    Stek | AWB | Hojbjerg | Kamara

Really unsure what I should be looking to do, still have my wildcard up my sleeve. Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

      Transfer out Mane for Maddison
Aguero >>> H. Kane Tottenham play Cardiff Home
Wilson >>> Arnautovic West Ham have form and good fixtures apart from Spurs H! & Man City H. GW13
Robertso >>> Maguire Good fixtures apart from Arsenal match after next.
You only need 2 premire defenders
      Trippier takes free kicks!

Thoughts on Aguero? Previously Pep commented that he’s not 100% fit and that was why he got hauled off early in the last 3 premier league games. Now that he played 90 minutes in CL, what do you think of his chances of starting? With a fresh Jesus who didn’t feature from the bench in CL.

He will start as the game is too important to start with Jesus, maybe if it was Cardiff next but not Pool at Home, most likely their toughest game of the season. He will start for sure unless injury gets worse

You couldn't have a more nailed on player for Liverpool. then a lovely two weeks with his feet up.

Would you do Robbo to Trippier as a 1 week punt ?

Play Cardiff, what do think the score will be? 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 or more!

Doherty and Hughes as I think Wolves and Watford will both win
