The Fantasy Football Scout community haven’t relented in their efforts despite us entering the dead zone that is the international break.

Early transfers were a source of discussion, along with premium strikers and Liverpool defenders.

Our latest Community Round-up feature also looks over the various tournaments and mini-leagues that involve FFS users.

The Hottest Topics

Brazilian pair Bernard and Kenedy were two of the names mentioned in Gregor‘s “eye test” as the Community began the week by looking back at Gameweek 8.

With those matches out of the way, we asked whether you were pushing the button early on your Fantasy transfers or waiting till the FPL assets in question were back from international duty.

Bullet Eder asked if we should go without a premium striker this season, while ZoumasBloomers switched focus to the defence and wondered if doubling up on the Liverpool backline is worth a gamble.

Taking stock has been in order over this international break, too.

Deulofail asked for your season by numbers, while WesManTooth and Jealous Viper wanted to hear your biggest delights and most lamentable regrets of 2018/19.

Pierce34 challenged the FFS community to beat his captain score for the season, meanwhile.

Community Tables

Here is just a small selection of the excellent array of public tables created this week and available in the Members’ area

Remember, to see your table featured here (if that’s what you want!) please ensure you include a description explaining the purpose of it.

Community Tournaments

Brayden McCullough still leads our public Fantasy Football Scout League but has slipped to second overall after three Gameweeks at number one.

Luke Aiello is the new leader in our Fantasy Football Scout Members League and has also regained the lead in RedLightning‘s Top 10k Any Season mini-league. He played his Wildcard in Gameweek 7 and is now up to 28th overall. He has had two previous top 10k finishes (6,621st in 2014/15 and 2,759th in 2016/17).

RedLightning still leads the FFS Mods & Cons mini-league, with Chris Atkinson (RMT’s Professor) now in second place.

FFS user Lawrø has created a new community tournament which he describes as “similar to Community Watch but shorter.” Find out more about it HERE.

We’d like to remind our readers that it is not too late to sign up to the Fantasy Football Scout Charity Cup taking place on Saturday November 17. Find out more about it HERE.

would be better to salah be out for Huddersfield 100 %, then this, when i dont know will he play, and i cant give him armband...

    1. MTPockets
      8 years, 6 days ago

That's the problem now. If he doesn't play in their 2nd game will remain an unknown.

Can't see a national icon publicly faking an injury to swerve playing for his country.

i just bought him last night as planed, so he might just be a good diff if he plays and gets sold

Might be. Fraser had an apparent international hamstring injury, then started and got 18pts.

Why did you buy him last night before international games, with no imminent price movements?

So England are playing a game behind closed doors due to an incident back in 2015. Why the hell did they agree to play this match? Bonkers

They don't have a say, do they.

      1. SackWenger

Yep, missed that. Is the better punishment to play at Wembley instead and forego home advantage. Seems harsh that English fans can't watch despite some going to all games.

        1. Paul Psychic Octopus
          8 years, 6 days ago

This is what I said the punishment should be. Although harsh on Croatia just because some nut job sneaked into a ground overnight with a spray can three years ago.

I prefer them both. The extra 0.5 over fodder for Fabs to cover Pats tough fixtures seems worth it to me anyway.

    2. Piggs Boson
      8 years, 6 days ago

I think Wolves will get some upsets. They defend in a deep 541 so they're incredibly difficult to break down.

Pellegrini on the other-hand, will always set up his team to attack where possible.

      1. Paul Psychic Octopus
        8 years, 6 days ago

I agree. But you can get Wolves defender for 4.0m -ish, and their full backs offer attacking potential. WHU and Wolves goalkeepers offer parity in terms of price.

        1. Piggs Boson
          8 years, 6 days ago

          Fair enough.

I wouldn't say no to a Wolves defensive triple up tbh. Their defensive stats are unbelievable. Only 1 team has conceded fewer shots in the box, City.

    6. Deulofail

Honestly I think an injury to Salah would be a blessing in diguise for your team. Simply downgrading him this week still allows you to get out a decent team (Mendy on for PVA, Pereyra or Knockeart, or even Fraser, since he'll likely be benched in a few upcoming fixtures for you). Then use the money next week to upgrade Zaha or Pereyra/Knockheart (and bench Zaha to get Arnie the following week).

      1. Deulofail
        8 years, 6 days ago

*"or even Fraser, since he'll likely be benched in a few upcoming fixtures for you" actually belongs in the next sentence about suggestions on who to upgrade.

So how come that in game vs Palace it was King who was substituted for Stanislas?
Fraser had such a prolific start that it guarantees him starts for at least next 6 games (at least for club of Bournemouth stature)

I hope mo is OK. I was 50/50 on Salah or Kun captain.
Even this hopefully very slight niggle has shifted the balance firmly to Aguero.
