Is Harry Kane’s FPL value damaged by his tendency to drop deep?

A week has passed since Harry Kane‘s (£12.5m) blank in Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win over Cardiff City and the one-point return still rankles for those of us who backed the England striker with the captaincy in Gameweek 8.

Having been bought by over 380,000 Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of the Cardiff match, Kane now sits in around 31% of FPL squads at the time of writing and many Fantasy bosses will be wondering what to do with their premium forward in the weeks ahead – particularly given the fixtures Spurs have in the short term.

Our Scout Notes touched on Kane’s frustrating tendency to drop deep in the win over the Bluebirds and this positional analysis is something we have decided to explore in more depth for this latest members’ article.

Anyone looking to get Balbuena in after the spurs game? Big threat from corners, great fixtures and scoring well on underlying bonus point stats. Feel he may shoot up the defender points table

Thinking of doubling up on Liverpool defence instead. Transfers would be Trippier, Hennessey, Bennett > TAA, Ryan, Doherty
Just worried now Lovren is back

Alonso - Mendy - Robertson- Doherty - AWB just looks like a no brainer back line. No room at the inn.

How is AWB a no brainer? have you not seen his run of fixtures? and even before the though run of fixtures he has already blanked for 2 games in a row

    Help needed:
If I need 2 players to bring in,I bring them right away taking a hit so that I can think about new transfers to make the other week(as always something comes up)
I see a lot of top managers hold transfers.
How do I become more patient..Haha

As long as your holding those two players for a long time it’s all good to hit once in a while.

It’s taking hits and removing a player you just brought in that can send you plummeting.

Managing ourselves is really not talked about very much. Arguably it's more important than anything else. You just have to practice restraint, everyone you succeed it gets that little bit easier.

Patience is something I've massively improve on this season. Last year I was taking hits left, right and centre and was annoyed with myself for not keeping the faith in the players I've just sold. I remember at the start of the season I listened to FPL General's 10 tips podcast and he really switch my attitude on taking hits.

So far this season I've only taken 1 hit and I'm having a much better season already, just outside the top 10K. I would recommend listening to that FPL General podcast mate.

Get ready to HT Mr as I have a message to Mark (founder of FFS).

I would suggest scrapping the members / non-members idea.

Instead allow the equivalent member data to be open to any individual so as long as they have satisfied a clickbait quota (i.e. I would be happy to click through your site advertising partners in exchange for full site access).

Adverts on the net are way too annoying, would rather pay £15 for the data. Unless on a restricted budget, £15 for the year (or £12.50 if you do it pre-season) is very little money. The data is not the be all and end all but is interesting stuff. If you wont miss £15 then it worth getting imo, even just to look at some heat maps and compare 2 players you are thinking about.

Well they are providing a service so it is only right for Mark to monetise the site...just feel he can skim money off different folks rather than the readers...

You would think Mark makes more money from advertising than membership fees if he plays his cards right...

If I was Mark, I would create a segment of the show where I team up with Betfair to a make a single Wisodm of the Crowd gamble

I.e. £10 punt on a correct score prediction, viewers like me would love that as it would help drive my benching decision too. Also for Betfair they would clearly benefit too

          Win-win

I think Mark needs a Money Man like me ..problem is that I would probably embezzle...

If I ever start gambling again and end up ruining my life, I'll have no choice but to attempt to sue Mark for sparking the fire 😉 I'm pretty sure the laws will be tight enough in 5-10 years for me to win a few bob to retire on, which will make the law suit the best gamble I ever made 😀

its true.. i mean i have no issue with them charging for their service. totally legit

I agree with what your saying about moneytizing it.. they really could be making bank with this site.. only started the youtube now.. after years of waiting for it. still have no app..!?

but again I have no complaints.. love the site for the ticker.. thats the main function I use

Huge investment but that could be the jackpot...

While he was out Federer and Nadal won 3 slams each.
If injury didnt happen he would leave them behind by now.

Better H2H vs both of them but i want to look at them as trio.

I agree, he is the best Hard Court Player imo with his style of tennis, and him getting angry makes him much better oddly. He was missing that intensity for a while. He has won everything, all 1000's which Fed and Nadal haven't. Nadal will always be the GOAT on clay, his record is almost perfect on clay. Federer is the best grass player of all time.

If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer.

Cheers TorresMagic - current team is Ederson (Hamer), Mendy Robbie Alonso Doherty (AWB), Mane Fraser Hazard (Maddison Ayite), Kun Lacazette Mitrovic.

Pretty happy with it but have 0.1 in the bank so will probably just transfer Ayite for a 4.5 who plays regularly like Hojbjerg or Leicester’s Mendy.

Good team, some dudes would get Wilson for Mitro but Mitro has good fixtures

About 22k. Happy to give Mitro a few more weeks as I’ve been burnt in the past with Wilson/King blowing hot and cold, and I like having Ederson as a guaranteed starter for City. Would consider changing him if I need the £1m elsewhere but right now happy to stick.
