Wolverhampton Wanderers’ defence was supposed to be one of the clean sheet bankers in Gameweek 13, but Fantasy managers were left disappointed.

After keeping four clean sheets from five matches between Gameweeks 4 and 8, the newly-promoted side have not recorded one since.

We’ve taken a look at the data in the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area to see whether the use of Rui Patrício (£4.6m), Matt Doherty (£4.9m) and their defensive colleagues have run out.

As a gunner not watching any Utd games, could anyone tell me what's happening to Sanchez?

Why is he not playing regularly for Mourinho?

Have dropped down to a lowly 700k but think my team looks OK? Only 1FT, should I save it this GW? And right to bench Wolves players?

    Lossl
    Alonso - Yedlin - AWB
    Hazard (c) - Martial - Rich - Gray
    Kane - Aguero - Arnie

    Patricio - Bennett - Obiang - Digne

Looks fine if Hazard/Arnie are fit.
I'm starting Doherty ahead of AWB (playing Hennessey), but who knows really.

Depends on your other players... if you have rotation risk picks then it's not over the top. If you've got very assured starters (Kane, Erikson, Hazard, Salah, Richarlison etc) then you could get one fodder.

Planning on wildcarding soon. Shall I do it this week or wait til next week?

      Patricio

      Salah - Hazard (c) - Martial - Richarlison
      Kun - Arnie

      Hamer - Digne - Brooks - Quaner
      0.0ITB, 1FT.

Also, if wildcarding next week I'm tempted to remove Richarlison (liv) for a one week punt, any ideas for a less than 6.8 mid for this week only? Cheers

      Morning dzzz, when to WC?

      Patricio -- Foster
Alonso Schindler Awb -- Doherty Digne
Salah Haz Rich Martial -- Camarasa
      Kun Arnie Jimenez

I can WC anytime in gw15,16 or 17. Any suggestions as to when?
A: gw15 - I could load on spurs assets. Issue is only 2 day gap from gw14 and arsenal play united and i was looking to get bellerin in

B: gw16 - currently leaning on this but city play chelsea this gw. does that even make a difference? i might have 2 city players anyways before then if i do martial > bilva this gw. Can load up on arsenal assets and spurs

C: gw17 - good point to sell everton assets with two tough fixtures. can load on spurs, city, assets but with the fixture pile up coming, i generally like getting players for mid table teams who rotate less

I see a few WCs with lots invested in defence, mid and forwards. Weak benches are inevitable. Not sure that's a good thing for the Dec/Jan schedule.

        Would you rather have

        A) big hitter + enabler

        B) mid priced performer x2

        A) big hitter hauls but enabler rarely gets more than 2 but is missed significantly when rotated

        B) mid priced performer x2 can be rotated based on games - generally do well but which one to play doesn’t always work out - can sometimes bring in points when other players in team are rotated

            Big hitters for sure.

Just saying that bottoming out on 2 or 3 bench fodder enablers could hurt in the coming weeks.

who is Brighton’s 2nd choice keeper?

      1. skodaole2

Button was 2nd choice until a month ago. Steele is over the last 4 GWs and should stay like this, they got him to play in January

Why did Button lose his place?

            7 years, 4 months ago

Not a Brighton expert, but according to what i ve read it wasnt his place to lose. Brighton's maganer knew Ryan would miss January due to Asian Cup so they got Steele to play then. He must have fitness issues until a month ago i guess, so Button was the sub GK until Steele would be ready to play. Again, all of this according to Brighton news i ve read after the first game Steele was subbed instead of Button.

When you look at the stats Kun could go rogue any week especially on home turf. But this would be his 3rd match in 7 days so it's tricky.

      5. skodaole2
        • 13 Years

Triple captaining a player in a game when most will captain him seems more to lose than to win. Plus its a single GW how many points do you expect? They cant score 4-5 goals every week especially with this schedule ahead. They should take a 2 goals lead if possible and stop it.

      6. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 4 months ago

Not sure TC'ing Kun is ever 'crazy' he's that good.

Crazy would be more like TC'ing a defender in the hope of a massive haul.

I do think TC'ing anyone in any fixture outside of a double GW is a waste though, even though it can work out OK sometimes.

Anyone planning on getting Trippier in for Spurs good run next week... Would you get Aurier for a game or two if Tripps is ruled out until he comes back?

      1. Miguel Sanchez
        • 9 Years
        7 years, 4 months ago

Does Aurier have the same attacking potential as Trippier?

        1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
          • 16 Years
          7 years, 4 months ago

He was pretty handy for attacking returns last year - got 4 in 17 appearances... Hes made 3 starts this season so getting towards that one attacking return in 4 games mark... He'll benefit tremendously from spurs fixtures and his role if Trippier is out for another few games

          Trippier is King though

            • 13 Years

They ll share minutes during December. Both have attacking potential Aurier enters the opposite box whereas Trippier's crosses are pretty good. Plus free kicks in some occasions. I d say they are both worth it if you can predict Poch's starting XI. Whoever starts though, has 90 mins guaranteed, seldom one of the three subs is for a RB.

            1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
              • 16 Years

                7 years, 4 months ago

Certainly if i had cash for one of them i d get Trippier he seems 60-40% to be ahead in possible starts. But the fixtures are at last good. Which means Poch may give him time to rest a bit after the WC he didnt have time to rest, consecutive difficult games until now.

Cheers for the stats, my next bit of transferring comes down to which Spurs assets I want to pick up
            A) Eriksen Trippier
            B) Kane and enablers

Leaning towards Kane because despite the pain in the past he looks a better captaincy option most GWs in December

      2. aspilcueta
        • 8 Years

I would avoid both to be honest. Spurs have some tough games across all comps. It would give me anxiety to own either of them. I'd go Foyth or Lloris. Foyth at least has no CL. But then he is at risk of Vertonghen.

Completely depends on whether I go Sane or Sterling.

It just sort of happened as I moved with the flow. The intention of rolling a transfer would be to get Sterling in for Hazard for the midweek fixture.

Many people did badly because the gw a shietty one.

If Hazard is fit, roll the FT.

Martial likely to be rested now after Jose's comments last weekend? I feel like he is destined to join Walcott & Pedro in the annals of traps I've fallen into.

        Talk to me about Walcott...

I was burnt by him back to back seasons!

        NEVER AGAIN!!!

The 6.0-7.5 mid bracket is littered with traps this season - Barkley and Mkhitaryan can be added

Jonty as an Aguero owners calls another Kun owner just to make the scoutcast completely dull.

I think comparing Bournemouth to Huddersfield and Burnley is a huge mistake when it comes to probability of Pep rotating his squad. Pep won't underestimate Bournemouth and rest key players imo. Plus Sterling was rested for Burnley home match because he had previously played 2 games with England in the international break . It is not the same case now. There is always a risk of rotation with Pep but I wouldn't take the rest of Sterling against Huddersfield and Burnley as evidence.
