While the Fantasy Premier League masses work out how to stockpile Manchester City midfielders, we’ve also been looking for some under the radar options.

Ahead of the Gameweek 14 deadline, we’ve picked out three options all owned by less than 5% of Fantasy managers who can propel you up the rankings.

We’ve been looking at Spurs as well as some budget options elsewhere…

Son Heung-min

Price: £8.3m

Ownership: 1.7%

An impressive performance for Son Heung-min (£8.3m) in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Chelsea in Gameweek 13 has put him back on our Fantasy radars.

We think that he could continue his form into the north London derby this weekend and act as an incredible differential with just 1.7% ownership.

That display at Wembley will almost certainly allow Son to hold onto his place, with Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura both starting against Inter Milan midweek.

If Son reverts to his usual position on the right at Arsenal, having played up front with Kane at the weekend, he should have a field day.

We recently discovered that Arsenal are defensively weakest down their left flank this season, which could leave the door open for a Son masterclass.

Even if the South Korean plays as a centre-forward again then he should still enjoy his Sunday afternoon at the Emirates Stadium. No side has given up more big chances in home matches this season than Unai Emery’s Arsenal, not even Burnley.

Steve Mounié

Price: £5.8m

Ownership: 0.2%

There is something awfully specific about why Huddersfield striker Steve Mounié (£5.8m) looks set to enjoy a fruitful Gameweek 14.

His upcoming opponents Brighton and Hove Albion, who visit the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, currently rank second-worst for headed attempts conceded in away games this season.

Meanwhile, Mounié is the second-best for headed attempts among forwards in 2018/19, giving him the perfect Fantasy match-up this weekend.

While the Benin international has been known for his profligacy during his time in the Premier League, he has been pretty accurate of late too.

In the last four Gameweeks, only Harry Kane, Alvaro Morata, Mohamed Salah and Anthony Martial have had more shots on target than Mounié.

He has started the last three matches in a row, with Huddersfield picking up seven points from a possible nine in that time. For that reason, he should retain his place amid competition from Laurent Depoitre, currently an injury doubt.

Andros Townsend

Price: £5.7m)

Ownership: 1.1%

Crystal Palace may be short on goals right now but they should get over that problem when they face Burnley this weekend.

13 Gameweeks into the season and no side has overtaken the Clarets for number of shots conceded, either in total or in the box.

That makes them the perfect opponents for Palace this weekend.

While Wilfried Zaha remains the popular Eagles option (14% ownership), there is every chance that Andros Townsend (£5.7m) could also benefit at Selhurst Park.

He has actually been outperforming Zaha for underlying statistics in the last four Gameweeks. The Englishman is ahead on both total shots, and shots on target. In fact he has five accurate efforts in that time compared to Zaha’s zero.

Furthermore, Townsend is just one created chance behind his Ivorian colleague, giving him the potential for a spread of points for a much cheaper price.

Any Sterling and Sane owners considering Sane(c) after Pep's presser?

Pardon my ignorance, but what did he say about Sterling? I've got him captain at the moment!

Nothing. Just said 'maybe' to freshening the team up to be fair

OK, cheers. I've had the rough and the smooth with Sterling before - reluctantly accepting the odd benching if it means big hauls on other, more frequent, occasions.

Just comments regarding him freshening the team up. It seems more likely he would drop Sterling rather than Sane due to the injury to Mendy

I've got Sane (C) right now. With Arnie (VC).

I'm also considering Martial and TAA as out of the box crazy choices so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

          Do you have Sterling too?

Think moving for Martial is very ballsy. I have him and want rid soonish unless he does well this week

I hate his press conferences, he so f'in vague about everything. I don't want him to go out and give us the starting lineup, but maybe just give us some kind of confirmation about players playing or no.

      1. Rupert The Horse
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 13 Years

Thats not always the case with him, he was quite up front last week. Ive seen plenty of PC with him wheres he's told it how it is.
Plus most managers are like this, just we focus on him a lot more as his team is a lot more important.

      2. Sánchez
        • 14 Years

Isn't confirming which players will play and which wont giving us the starting lineup?

        1. JBG

          7 years, 8 months ago

Yeah I guess you're right Rupert.

No Sanchez, I'm asking for some kind of confirmation, doesn't have to say, "yeah Sterling, Aguero and so on is starting". He can say, "... Is definitely getting minutes this game" when the press asks him about a certain player.

Fair play, so my punt has now become Wilson to Rashford before small surgery before midweek to get in more Man City, probably a huge mistake but it was either him or Zaha and Palace are not showing great attacking threat but Rashford has the ability to put a couple in. Time will tell.

Think I'd still buy as I'm wildcarding in 17 anyway.

Am mainly wanting Mitro to get his 5th yellow out of the way before then.

Still get him. Easy to downgrade if needed after a 5th

What has the chat been on Hazard though (i know it's the burning question).
Although he never played against PAOK, it could have been seen as a safe move to make (and they won 4 nil)
He has trained if I'm not mistaken. And has until sunday to be fresh/fit.

So convinced am I... I think I'm going to roll the Captain onto him.

Fulham having conceded 33 in 13 is just too tempting.
    He's involved in almost everything.

Cue total blank - or 2 minute Cameo!

Yes he will play this weekend I think and punish the sellers hopefully. Last chance though

hes a good option this week. Aguero could seriously damage your rank though

I have aguero though so I will be half covered for the damage should he hit big.
These are the risks needed though. My ML rival has been mirroring my choices too much.

Nope. There has to be a creative midfielder as Gundogan and Bernardo are both doubts. They may not be able to tell whether those will be fit until just before the game. So the pre game training must involve David Silva.

He's the best midfielder in the league by far. No one is safe from rest.

Have 2FT. Which is the better option?
    A. Sane in for Hazard; play Salah Sane Richarlison
    B. Sane and Mane in for Salah and Richarlison: play Mane Sane Hazard
