FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 17

After a frenzied period in which three FPL Gameweek deadlines whizzed by in the space of nine days, we Fantasy managers at least have a little more time ahead of Gameweek 17 to properly collect our thoughts.

There is plenty to consider following Mohamed Salah‘s (£13.0m) monster haul at Bournemouth, Eden Hazard‘s (£10.9m) pair of assists against Manchester City and blanks for the likes of Harry Kane (£12.5m), Alexandre Lacazette (£9.6m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.6m).

The FPL Question Time form is thus open once again for your Fantasy-related queries.

We’re keeping things in-house this week, with all three of our panel on the payroll at Fantasy Football Scout towers and enduring mixed fortunes at the weekend.

You can find out what they have to say about some of your questions on Tuesday.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Joe – the host of our Scoutcast – plus many other weekly videos – and who sits 79th in our Career Hall of Fame, having recorded seven top 10,000 finishes in ten seasons of playing FPL (including an “OR” of 840 in 2013/14).

David – the editor of Fantasy Football Scout and a regular contributor to the official FPL Show, who spends much of his week looking at the underlying stats in our Members’ area. David has nailed all 16 captaincy picks this season and lurks just outside the top 10k after Saturday’s matches.

Neale – the site’s deputy editor, who has mustered three top 5k overall ranks in FPL but who awaits his first top 1,000 finish after a last-ditch, Newcastle-United-in-1995/96-esque capitulation in the last two Gameweeks of 2017/18. Sold Mohamed Salah ahead of Gameweek 16…

Let’s hope Raul will stay on bench till final whistle.. though chances not high as he will probably make a cameo 🙁

    A) Keep Alonso. Ings + Ward > Kamara + Snodgrass
    B) Alonso, Ings, Ward > Kolasinac, Kamara & Felipe -4
    C) Alonso, Ings, Ward > Doherty, Kamara & Felipe -4

    Thanks

      I'd keep Alonso.
Which Ward are you talking about (Def Bur, Def Cry, Mid Car or Mid Sou). I wouldn't bring any of them. Replacing Ings sound logic, but don't think Kamara is worth it.

Thinking if I should go for transfer this week or not
    Fabianski (Begovic)
    Alonso, Robertson, Boly, AWB, (Stankovic)
Richarlison, Mane, F. Anderson, Sane, (D. Silva)
    Auba, Jimenez, (Wilson)

Not sure about the injuries of Wilson and D. Silva and how long they might be out, so wonder if I should just bench them and see what happens. Could replace either of them with cheaper option and strenghten my defense or bring in Spurs players due to their easy upcoming fixtures. Any thoughts?
