Richarlison back up front for Everton as Bernard and Walcott return

The final match of Gameweek 16 takes place at Goodison Park this evening, as Marco Silva faces his old employers for the first time.

Silva has recalled Bernard, Theo Walcott and Michael Keane for this encounter, meaning a return to the striking role for Richarlison – who is also up against his former club this evening.

The Brazilian scored in this fixture last season while on Watford’s books, with a dramatic match ending 3-2 to the Toffees.

Javi Gracia has made two changes from the side that lost 2-1 to Manchester City last Tuesday, with Ken Sema and Domingos Quina making their first Premier League start for the Hornets.

Will Hughes hasn’t recovered from a hip injury, while Nathaniel Chalobah drops to the bench.

Andre Gray is also missing from the matchday squad due to a leg injury, while Watford failed in their appeal to rescind Etienne Capoue‘s red card so the former Spurs midfielder is unavailable too.

It’s hit or miss for Richarlison in home fixtures this season: the Brazilian has blanked in three of his appearances at Goodison Park, but averages 11.33 Fantasy Premier League points in his other three starts on home soil.

Richarlison is by some distance the most popular FPL asset on show this evening, sitting in 32.8% of Fantasy managers’ squads.

The former Watford winger was also the tenth-most-popular captaincy choice of Gameweek 16, with 95,936 FPL bosses handing him the armband.

Gyfli Sigurdsson has a similar strike rate, with four blanks in eight home starts but an average of 9.25 FPL points in his other four appearances at Goodison.

The Iceland international has already been involved in the same number of goals this season (six goals, two assists) as he managed in the whole of 2017/18.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne, Gueye, Gomes, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard, Richarlison.

Watford XI (4-4-2): Foster, Femenia, Kabasele, Cathcart, Holebas, Doucoure, Quina, Sema, Pereyra, Success, Deeney.

Have no other Xity cover so if Dilva is out:

    A) Son (one Kane)
    B) Anderson
    C) Out with Hazard for Sterling + Anderson (-4)
    D) Save FT play AWB
    E) Save FT play Bennet (have Doherty playing already)

That’s what I’m leaning towards if Dilva is confirmed out. If 50/50 may save with AWB first sub.

Can afford both but whoever it is, I probably would want to swap back to digne on 2 weeks and think Lowe allows for that more

2FT what to do here... thinking a swap with Ederson & Keane?

    Ederson, Button
    Alonso, TAA, Keane, AWB, Schindler
    Sterling, Sane, Richa, Filipe, Gunnar
    Kane, Auba, Kamara

Good shout, he was possibly the worst punt on my wildcard along with TAA. Ended up getting rid of Robbo & Doherty so I could afford the Kane/Auba combo.

    Bottomed:
    Lössl
    Alonso TAA Doherty Kolasinac
    Salah Hazard Siggy
    Kane Wilson Jimenez

    Hamer Digne Gunnarson Stephens

    Best transfers here?
    A) Siggy to Anderson/Son
    B) Salah, Siggy to Sterling, Sane
    C) Salah, Siggy to Sterling, Alli/Son

    Cheers

He is, but Sterling and Sane more explosive, and playing two home fixtures in a row. There's really no fear for me not owning Salah for a couple of weeks, as he usually doesn't get double digit hauls.

    Attention Sonsation fans!

I've noticed a few people concerned that Son will be going to the Asian Games soon. The Asian Games were in the Summer (Korea won giving him exemption from military service), it is the Asian Cup that starts in January. He will be called up, but Spurs have done a deal with the KFA meaning he misses the first two group games.

The third group game is against China on January 16th (a Wednesday).

The final (IF they make it that far) is on February 1st (Friday), so he'll likely miss a max of 3 weekends of English football (one will be FA Cup), no idea about mid-week matches at this stage. It is being held in the UAE, 8 hours flight away, so he may only miss two weekends if Spurs have their match on the Sunday or Monday after the Friday final.

Anyway in short it's not out of the question that he'll only miss two EPL matches even if they go all the way, so nothing to fret about.

Correct me if any of the above is inaccurate, Son-owner here.
