Finding the best combination of premium FPL options

After the hectic Christmas period, there is no little consensus over which premium Fantasy Premier League options are the best to own.

The problem has been particularly prevalent in midfield and attack with the recent re-emergence of Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) forcing managers to chop and change their more expensive assets to get him back in.

We have decided to take the opportunity of the upcoming break from league action to compare some of the popular players at the dearer end of their classification.

These are Salah, Raheem Sterling (£11.3m), Eden Hazard (£11.1m), Leroy Sané (£9.5m) and Paul Pogba (£8.4m) in midfield with Harry Kane (£12.6m), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.4m), Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.1m) up front.

Using the Fantasy Football Scout members’ area we have weighed these options against each other for various statistics over the last six Gameweeks.

The analysis takes into account their minutes per shots in the box, minutes per efforts on target, creativity and expected data.

We have chosen the period of the last six Gameweeks to factor in the hectic festive period but also to take into account some of the matches before that too.

    Hey guys, 2 FT and 0.7 ITB. Looking to do Hart & Ings > Arnie and cheap GK but am short of funds. Patricio has City away so a new GK seems crucial. Any thoughts on these options?

    A - Hart & Jiminez > Gunn & Arnie
    B - Hart > Heaton and save 1 FT

          Very similar to mine, difference being Richarlison/Wilson/Jimenez instead of Fraser/Aubameyang/Kamara. Shame my team value wouldn't get me your combination though.

    3) Richarlison to Arnie

    What do you reckon? *I know it's a midfielder for an attacker, but I'm downgrading Auba to fund Salah.

    Watching the City-Pool game again.
    Half time approaching, and already im saying Fernandinho MotM. Best DM performance I've seen this season. No wonder City struggled without him! Whoever they get to replace him, the bar is HIGH.

    Which does everyone prefer the look of? Top is as now, bottom would be WC (havent pulled the trigger and thinking ill likely hold) but just wondered if anyone thought the 2nd team was enough of a better team to seriously consider an early WC or to not even consider it at this stage.       Didn't even need to look at 2nd team to know that you shouldn't wc. First time is solid. Good balance and nice fixtures. Problem like me is you have a benching headache most weeks. If you're that desperate for Salah then I'd maybe look at downgrading martial to bench fodder and upgrading Sane or Haz next week depending on how they do
