After Double Gameweek 25 caused a great divide in the Fantasy Premier League world, managers have been reunited on one issue for Gameweek 26.

It already looks as if Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (£13.6m) will be the obvious captain candidate this weekend, but we need more than a poll result to determine if he’s the best option.

We have analysed all the potential options for the armband so that Fantasy Football Scout members can see the results…

Captain Poll

Despite blanks in both of his last two matches, Salah has returned to the summit of the Fantasy Football Scout captain poll. He heads into Gameweek 26 backed by 54% of the voters, 37% more than any other option. Bournemouth are the next visitors to Anfield, having conceded 20 goals in their last seven away trips.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.2m) is a long way off in second place as owners of Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) consider him as the ideal replacement with Blank Gameweek 27 looming large. 17% of our voters have backed the Arsenal man ahead of a trip to Premier League basement boys Huddersfield Town.

Even further behind the top two are Manchester United pair Marcus Rashford (£7.8m) and Paul Pogba (£8.7m), who will face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday lunch-time. The former looks more popular for Gameweek 26 with a 7% share, while Pogba is just behind on 5.32%.

Interestingly, next up on the list is Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.5m), who will also play in the same fixture. He has 2% of the vote, the same amount as Salah’s Liverpool colleague Sadio Mané (£9.5m), who has outscored him by 24 points to 19 over the last three Premier League matches.

Aguero leads a list of options under 2%, with 1.6% of voters looking to captain the Manchester City talisman for their big match against Chelsea on Sunday.

He is just ahead of Son Heung-min (£8.8m) on 1.5% and Raúl Jiménez (£6.7m) on 1.13%.

Jota and Auba both likely to play?

Wanted to do them both in for Sterling and Ings.

My thinking is B because there are other defenders that dont blank that offer value vs TAA eg. LEI, NEW, BUR defenders. On the other hand you cant get a mid/attacker who can match Mane's output (LIV will hopefully pick up again after a bad couple of weeks)

If you watched the Everton Man City game, do you reckon Sane's substitution was more of a "you're being crap, come off" thing or a way to keep him fresh? Absolutely everyone is ditching him and that really makes me want to keep him... but will he start v Chelsea?

He didn't train yesterday, but I'd read it the same as you.

Assumes Auba had similar bug to Koscielny which was only a 24h thing.

Depends entirely on today & whether he's recovered enough. I know van dijk's played a couple of times coming off the back of illness so hopefully Auba's made of equally stern stuff.

Lol, reading Almiron's wiki, not that much quality control on that article.

"At his unveiling at the Sports Direct Arena, he allegedly whipped off his Lonsdale tracksuit top and proceeded to right hook the police horse who was casually grazing on the pitch. Upon celebrating the clean knockout of the horse, he ran to the Gallowgate end to celebrate the momentous occasion with the Toon faithful. However, since protests against Ashley's dictatorship were ongoing outside the stadium, none were present. He went on to gain legendary status at the club after scoring 8 goals over the next 3 seasons, including an injury time equalizer against fierce rivals Sunderland in League 1."

    Robertson Doherty Digne
    Salah Son Pogba Richarlison
    Auba Rashford Jimenez

    Bench: Fabianski, Alonso, AWB, Puncheon.

Defender decision - who to play?
    A) Digne (only played 2 days ago)
    B) Alonso (playing City)

Keeper decision - who to play?
Guaita or Fabs (playing Fabs means playing AWB for Palace cover and benching Digne)

    Transfer options:
    1) Digne/Alonso > Kola/Periera/TAA (would only make the transfer this week for Kola, otherwise possibly one of the others)
    2) No changes. Hold FT during International Break and re-assess then. Potential transfers could be Alonso >

    Cheers

I have been thinking to do Sane+Sterling+Ings to Son+Jota+Auba (-4) all week, but due to the uncertainty regarding Jota and Auba I am now thinking to do only Sane to Son and save 1 FT.

    What do you guys think?

I'd probably save it this week. Nothing worse than a transfer to bring in somebody who doesn't even play.

Please help! My team is decent but shall I:

    A. Carry free transfer over

    OR

    B. Sane --> Mane (no blanks)
    C. Sane--> Son
    D. Aguero --> Aubemyang

B or C for me but it's a tough choice. Sane to Son is probably the most popular choice so go with Mane if you fancy being different.

Thank you. But do you not think that it's better to have 2 fts for the break that's coming up...no game until 22nd feb
