Everton face Arsenal in the only Premier League match taking place today, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 14:05 BST.

There were no shocks in the Toffees’ original line-up as Marco Silva unsurprisingly named the same starting XI that dominated in the 2-0 win over West Ham United last weekend.

However, Michael Keane took ill in the warm-up and has been replaced by Phil Jagielka at centre-half.

There are some noteworthy inclusions and omissions in Unai Emery’s team, however.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is named among the substitutes for the fourth time in Arsenal’s last six Premier League matches, as Alexandre Lacazette ploughs a lone furrow as the central striker in a 3-4-2-1.

Mesut Ozil starts his first away league game of 2019 and is joined by Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the attacking midfield positions, with the Armenia international taking the place of Alex Iwobi.

Aaron Ramsey has recovered from a minor groin injury but is only on the bench, so Mohamed Elneny gets a rare start in central midfield.

Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny aren’t fit enough to feature, while Lucas Torreira serves the final match of a three-game ban.

Lacazette is among the form forwards in FPL, having delivered an attacking return in each of his last six appearances.

The French striker also scored – along with Aubameyang – in the reverse fixture back in September.

Arsenal haven’t recorded a clean sheet away from home all season, however.

Only Manchester City (eight) have kept more top-flight shut-outs than Everton (six) in 2019.

Four of the Toffees’ clean sheets have come in the last five Gameweeks.

No FPL player priced below £9.0m has scored more Premier League goals than Gylfi Sigurdsson or Richarlison (12 each) this season, meanwhile.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford, Coleman, Jagielka, Zouma, Digne, Gomes, Gueye, Bernard, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

Arsenal XI (3-4-2-1): Leno, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Guendouzi, Kolasinac, Özil, Mkhitaryan, Lacazette.

Anyone considering triple Spurs attack for the DGW/season run-in?

Thinking of Eriksen, Son and Kane

At the risk of suggesting someone not template, could Ozil emerge as a way into the Arsenal attack?

The risk is the rotation, not you suggesting anything off-template! Any of the attacking Arsenal mids would be great if we could be sure they've nailed down a spot.

If he performs today, I think he is def worth a shout.
Am thinking of going kane rashford jiminez up front, so could use a decent arse mf option.

I have mane and Salah already in squad, was all set to shift Salah on as part of my WC, but am leaning more towards holding him now, and moving mane on.
Just have a feeling that Salah may kick on now, and be the main man for run in.
    Am I crazy?

Wouldn't mind if Haz didn't play tomorrow, Capt would go to Vardy and Digne off the bench. And if he does then he hauls so it's a win win

Today i started with draft of my WC for GW34:

    ederson - hamer
    robertson - vvd - laporte - kolasinac - bednarek
    salah - pogba - hazard - hudson-odoi - oriol romeu
    jimenez - vardy - lacazette

probably 4-3-3 with 4 "big" defenders.
i'm not sure on hazard and the three forwards.

    any suggestion?

    1. Tosa86
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 7 days ago

maybe ederson is not good for DGW35...

    2. jason_ni
      • 10 Years
      7 years, 7 days ago

Personally wouldn't have hazard, cho or romeu on WC, cho is to uncertain, hojberg better than romeu for 0.2 more, and hazard has no double, and too flaky.
I'd have son over hazard no doubt, and gives funds for else where

Downgraded Aguero to Laca on a draft this morning. Now considering Laca to deeney for Jimi Kane Deeney front line.

Kola will be enough arsenal perhaps.

I love Kun but I’m undecided. Fitness concerns, heavy schedule... maybe I’m gonna risk without as I won’t be captaining him.

Can always get him back after the DGW if Kane sucks.

Think he looks really good for the double myself. Should be fairly nailed because of the quality of opposition. And city can crush anyone on current form.

FJ! I had a little tinker on my draft, what do you think?

      A) Valery, TAA, Mane
      B) Bednarek, VVD, Eriksen

Also, anyone that goes near an Arsenal mid or attacker is very brave, not for me.

      1. Richd
        • 13 Years

I like the first. But then I think I prefer eriksen to Mane !

You just love Valery! I can afford Val for Bed on B if Kun drops so hoping for that. I'm close to 100% getting Aguero btw, only thing is whether I bring him in straight away or keep Vardy and get Kun 35.

Are you at least set in most of your positions?

As many have already probably mentioned, be wary that spurs have second leg of champions league QF against City only a few days after so may rest players. This would assume spurs still in the tie after first leg which they should be as first game at home.

Spurs also not guaranteed top 4 which negates my previous comment a little.
