Liverpool’s formation change earlier this season holds the key to whether Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) deserves a place in Wildcard squads for Double Gameweek 34.

After going six Premier League matches without a goal, the Egyptian finally found the net against Southampton in Blank Gameweek 33 – just in time to cause a dilemma for managers overhauling their teams.

Judging by the relief he showed at St Mary’s on Friday night, there is a case to be made that Salah could now return to his incredible points-scoring form from earlier in the campaign.

However, we have uncovered a few tactical factors that could have a bigger impact on his chances of impressing between Gameweek 34 and the end of the season.

As we have used data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members’ Area, only members can read on to enjoy our analysis.

Now that we are past the half-way stage, memberships are now available for just £10, so make sure you get the most of it while you can by signing up HERE.

My two main trollers all season have been Eriksen and Jota but I'm finding it hard to resist getting them back in again.

Got him in soon after his hat trick and he got 1-1-3. Looked like he was going to be dropped then so I benched him and he got 11.

How many City players are people holding on a WC? I currently only have Sterling but am scared without Aguero. I know their fixtures aren't great but just feel like City can score against anyone. And the defences of Spurs and MUN aren't really all that great!

Draft #5. How’s it look? Unsure if Robbo is worth 6.8m now. Perhaps I go TAA and invest elsewhere. Torn on whether to get Lloris too.

    Foster. Ryan
    Robbo. Laporte. Duffy. Boly. Valery
    Sterling. Mané. Eriksen. Jota. JWP
    Kane. Jiménez. Deeney

If investing elsewhere, I'd consider upgradeing on gk to Lloris - should be good for a few cleanies for the run-in. Or JWP to Doucoure/Deulofeu

we make a big thing out of the Spurs - Hudd fixture but this is sandwiched into two UCL rounds in which kane will play 2x90 for sure.
Poch has not stared Son in the last two games against City. Looks like he prefers to re-inforce his midfield against Pep's side.

I actually think Son might get a reduced game time during the two UCL rounds which leads me to think that Son might actually be a better option than Kane until GW36

Will appreciate some comments on the options below to close the gaps in my WC:
Chasing in a ML and rivals have mane(not Salah!), so Salah could be a good differential.

    1) robbo laporte Doherty- mane Eriksen JWP
    2) taa laporte kiko/jonny- Salah Son JWP
    3) Taa benett Cathcart- Mane Eriksen son
    4) robbo Vertongen kiko/Jonny- Salah Eriksen Hojberg

Honestly tempted to avoid Kane on wc. I know he's on pens but surely he gets some rest with maybe Moura up top. Hes also playing quite deep atm, like his ball in the Liverpool game was a free kick from the half way line. What's he doing there? He's obviously got potential but his last serious haul was in GW21.

    1. fenixri
      • 9 Years

Kane actually gets pitch time but you can clearly sees when he is "resting" himself during games, dropping deep etc..

All valid points but Kane is one of those players that could score 4-ish goals over two games with max bonus and propel you with a massive green arrow. It's FOMO because he's done it before.

      1. Tsparkes10
        • 7 Years
        6 years, 10 months ago

Yhhh igy. Guess it's worth it just to be safe as so many seem certain on him. It's one of them ones. Not picking him up and improving your team with the money saved could be huge. But then going without him and he hauls twice would drop me crazy amounts. Difficult

    3. Witty Pun: Not good at this…
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 10 months ago

That wasn't a deep position in the Liverpool game considering the whole team was transitioning from defence to attack, it just looked deeper because the rest of the team had an extra 4 seconds or so to sprint up the pitch whilst he won the foul.

      • 9 Years

Kane will be itching to score at the new stadium. What better opportunity than versus Hudds? Yes, it is a CL sandwich, but the best possible options - Tuesday, 1230 Saturday, Wednesday.
