With an injury to Harry Kane (£12.6m) and Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) still not really cutting it, there’s an opportunity to go for some truly pragmatic picks in this position between now and the end of the season.

    The above comparison of the data for Tottenham midfielders of GW1-22 vs GW23-26 is surely very biased by the fact that there were only 4 fixtures in the second interval and these fixtures were Fulham(A), Watford(H), Newcastle(H) & Leicester(H).

    Surely the improvement in attacking statistics for Eriksen, Alli, Son etc... is more down to these fixtures and not the fact that Kane was missing? Surely if Kane was present we would have still expected an improvement in their attacking statistics in GW23-26.

    Defence is weird.

    It’s hard to want to spend more

    Valery is the value pick of the lot

    Doherty is cheap and excellent if owned him a while

    TAA is just better value over Robbo

    Duffy essential this week

    Leaves one spot for Laporte.
