Fantasy Premier League managers now have plenty of money to spend on their midfield for their second Wildcards.

With an injury to Harry Kane (£12.6m) and Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) still not really cutting it, there’s an opportunity to go for some truly pragmatic picks in this position between now and the end of the season.

We’ve taken a look at what impact Kane’s absence will have on his array of midfield colleagues, before going into detail to find the best options from all clubs in this position.

As this article uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members’ Area, only members themselves can read on and enjoy the analysis.

Now that we are past the half-way stage, memberships are now available for just £10, so make sure you get the most of it while you can by signing up HERE.

What effect does Kane injury have on Spurs assets?

Gentle warning that substitutions today may not mean much - I remember the general consensus being that Lacazette was more nailed back around the time of my first wildcard (around GW16) and Aubameyang ended up playing 3-4 90 minutes in a row in league and Europe.

Thats fair. Think he's just worth a shot at that price and as a price holder for Firmino in 36.

Oh I totally agree about having him (in fact I've had Lacazette for most of the season!), I just wouldn't read much into the subs today, that's all.

What do we think about Agüero and Sterling’s likely starting slots?

Your guess as good as ours. I would think Sterling gets more minutes, but both could play more than expected if knocked out of UCL. See my thoughts below

        Currently got
        Foster Ryan
        Laporte trippier Duffy bednarek Boly
        Sterling son Erikson Doucouré Jwp
        Aguero Murray Vardy

Bit worried lot tied up in Brighton (for this week) spurs and city

Intending on two of auba laca Jimenez for next week for a -4
But tempted to pull Aguero for one of them now to save the minus 4

Folks... thoughts on going Eriksen (double up w/ Son) over Sterling this week for that nice HUD fixture, and then having 5.9 ITB to get Aguero and/or Sterling in for the DGW?

    My thinking behind it:
    - we should have a better picture of who may start in DGWs
    - will know if city are out of UCL
    - sterling, who I do currently have, played full 90midweek - possible rest more likely than eriksen?

Risky to go without City attack for even one week I know, but the reasons are sound enough, no?

Full team is in comment history, won’t post here to save your eyes

I had JWP, but went Hojbjerg. Not MUCH difference in stats but H fires off way more shots. Saves money too

      Hadn’t considered Redmond

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 9 Years

Redmond seems the better pick for 0.2 more. Just JWP has scored well the last few

    2. HollywoodXI
      • 11 Years
      6 years, 11 months ago

I’m a Saints fan and watch them regularly. Redmond is frustrating as his end product is poor despite looking dangerous throughout a match. JWP drifts in and out of games but will score more points from a fantasy perspective because he has end product in droves.

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 9 Years
        6 years, 11 months ago

Hmm. Thanks for the input mate. Redmond seems more exciting and could explode on a double. Feel like JWP could be a 5-7 points on the double. You agree?

        1. HollywoodXI
          • 11 Years
          6 years, 11 months ago

I think JWP is the best option of the two. I personally wouldn’t pick either as it looks like Ings is fit which means the focus of our attack changes dramatically with him in our team.

          1. RAFA THE GAFFA
            • 9 Years
            6 years, 11 months ago

What happens to the two of them then? Anyone else you’d pick for 5.3m?

            1. HollywoodXI
              • 11 Years
              6 years, 11 months ago

Ings is more direct and becomes the focus of attack down the middle. When Long plays he does a lot of running down the channels leaving space for Redmond and JWP to attack centrally. JWP will remain dangerous from set pieces so if you need to pick one go for him.

    Aguero Lazacette Jimenez

Robertsons got Chelsea next, likely no cs

Duffy far more goal threat than Dunk

      Valery more attacking than Bednarak

Sterling might play 2 of the next 3, Ive got him atm

Deulefeo might be injured, might share time with Gray

Aguero - FFS predict he wont start this week, difficult double

Lacazette / Arsenal poor away form

Why not? FFS reckon Aguero might be rested, is that not a good point ?

So if Son is now Spurs main attacker with HUD next, then obv. City next week in CL, real risk that he might be rested..
