A change in tactics at Wolves has affected the points potential of right wing-back Matt Doherty (£5.3m) in recent months.

He is expected to be a popular option in Double Gameweek 35 with Brighton and Arsenal both coming to Molineux in the next few days.

                  I could prove wrong though. Think it makes more sense if someone you'll want to play for rest of season, or likely to take a hit on anyway later. That's something I still need to think about - e.g. will I take a hit next week anyway to afford more liverpool. Will that involve selling a bha def.

    The "Wolves key stats between Gameweeks 1 and 21 (left) and Gameweeks 22 and 34 (right)" are presented the wrong way around, btw.

    I'm not sure how much of the attacking stats drop off is due to Wolves tactics, and how much is forced by the opposition who may have adapted. For instance, watching the Southampton - Wolves game last weekend, it appeared that Hassenhutl instructed Sims and Redmond to play as high and wide as possible (the touch heatmap is skewed by Redmond and Sims swapping flanks).

    This gave Doherty the dilemma of dropping in as an authodox RB to mark Redmond, or leave his man and break forward to join the counter attack. Several times, we could see that the communication between Doherty and the right-sided CB, Saiss, broke down allowing Redmond's diagonal runs to go un-tracked.

      The communication has been mediocre all season I'd say, be it Saiss or Bennett.
      It's partly Doherty's fault that Bennett was such a YC magnet.

    Aguero:

    Against top 6: 8 goals + 0 assists in 7 games, 527 mins (including 2 hatricks). 3 blanks (all away from home)

    Sterling:

    Against top 6: 3 goals + 4 assists in 8 games, 703 mins. 3 blanks.

    Jimenez:

    At home: 8 goals + 4 assists in 16 games. 6 blanks. 1379 mins.

    At home against top 6: 2 goals + 1 assist in 5 games. 2 blanks (against liverpool + city) 441 mins.

    At home against teams who have conceded more than 50 (brighton have) at home: 5 goals + 2 assists in 6 games, 525 minutes. 2 blanks

    Son:

    Against top 6 teams: 1 goal 0 assists in 7 games

    Against teams conceding more than 50 goals (like brighton): 6 goals and 2 assists in 11 games (698 minutes)

    Salah:

    Against teams conceding more than 50 goals (like cardiff): 12 goals + 2 assists in 13 games (1167 mins)

    Mane:

    Against teams conceding more than 50 goals: 9 goals + 0 assists in 11 games (922 mins)

      So which are you going for? Aguero looks great based on these stats but perhaps they're slightly skewed by the hat tricks against Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom were defensively woeful at the time.

        Still between Sterling, Jimenez, Son and Aguero. But don't think Aguero will get enough mins. Sterling has 2 difficult games, imo he will either absolutely explode or fail miserably. Son's okay but I can't see him scoring 2 or more. So I'll probably for Jimenez.

          I agree with most of this, although on paper we've seen Son score two in the same fixture yesterday, and Brighton are dreadful. Main risk there is over minutes and extent of rotation of the rest of the Spurs squad. So think I'll go for Jim too.
