Feel like we haven’t had those defenders who come in for long periods due to injury this year.

    Jimenez (TC) thoughts:

Apart from Pogba, he's the only highly scoring attacker we're sure will play 180 minutes except injured in GW35, and he's a BPS magnet. So he starts both HOME games. A goal and assist vs Brighton, a goal or assist vs Arsenal, and you're looking at 20 points. And that's just the midpoint between his floor (only one goal/assist in the GW + 4 appearance points) and his ceiling (Brighton brace or goal + 2 assists, then goal + assist vs Arsenal)

Given their form wouldn’t be surprised if its 2 x 2 points this double.

      1. Ze_Austin

        7 years, 4 months ago

Their home form (and his) is quite different from their away form... And they face this same Brighton we all witnessed twice

    2. JIMMY TUGGINS
      • 7 Years

His floor is surely blanking in both.

      1. Ze_Austin
        • 7 Years
        7 years, 4 months ago

Highly, highly unlikely. Last time he blanked in two consecutive home games was in another club.

        1. AndyCook
          7 years, 4 months ago

The likelihood of him having 4-5 goal involvements is certainly less than the likelihood of him having zero goal involvements, you can’t have a optimistic ceiling and floor

          1. Ze_Austin
            • 7 Years
            7 years, 4 months ago

The floor I mentioned is him having only one goal involvement. I didn't mention 4-5 as his floor

              • 8 Years
              7 years, 4 months ago

Yeah, we're saying that's an optimistic floor.

Which makes it not a floor

              1. Ze_Austin
                • 7 Years
                7 years, 4 months ago

That's statistically his floor, based on home performance all season and recently as well

If floor means lowest expected points based on player and team stats and opponents, it's just one goal involvement in GW35. The reason the floor being mentioned is 4 points is that you EXPECT him to start both games. How do you know this? Based on how you know the team works, Jimenez should start both. My point is, based on how the team works and opponents as well, Jim's floor is 7 points from having only one goal involvement at home to Brighton and Arsenal

If floor means lowest possible points, then every attacker's floor is the same. -2 points from a red card. Knockaert and Deeney experienced this floor

            2. AndyCook
              7 years, 4 months ago

No what I am saying is you have his ceiling as 4-5 goals/assists. That is much less likely than no goals or assists. He has had two consecutive home games with blanks which confirms this as his floor.

        2. AndyCook
          7 years, 4 months ago

How about weeks 18 and 21?

Extra point: Don't be blinded by low prices. Jim is the 10th highest scoring FPL player this season, and the third highest scoring striker. His home form is the definition of consistency, and he's fixture proof. He's had a holiday with his team for the past week, while other highly acclaimed options for the armband played midweek in high-intensity matches

Remember Lukaku? Mahrez? Vardy? It's not only top 6 or premium-priced players who deserve your captaincy or triple captaincy. It's the player you're sure would score the most

I think this is pretty optimistic. I don’t think there are any great options this week to triple captain incidentally, so I’m not saying he isn’t the best choice - 20 points is very unlikely.

Tricky one. Monreal has started the last 6 so him for minutes, but Arsenal don't do cleanies. Kola is a risk in all ways but has higher ceiling i feel. Monreal if you want an Arse defender.

I'd really appreciate some thoughts on making these moves to make it a worthwhile bench boost:

    -4 hit
    Trent+ long IN
    Dunk+ deeney OUT

    Team will look as follows:

    Ryan/foster
    TAA, robbo, Duffy, Doherty, vertonghen
    Sterling, Kdb, eriksen, son, Jota
    Jimi, aguero

Are either Ings or Llorente worth 4 points over next 2-3 games more than say Success or Long?

I'm sure many have this issue - but I'm not keen on blocking future moves for KDB, TAA etc. Just seeing if it will be worth it.
