We’ve reached the semi-final stage of our second FFS Cup of the season.

The quarter-finals were resolved after the final two matches of Double Gameweek 35 on Wednesday evening and all of our semi-finalists broke the 100-point barrier in this round of fixtures.

Roger150 did likewise but was unfortunate to come up against
Ibra-gum, who prevailed by 123 points to 109.

Ibra-gum is the lowest-ranked manager left in the competition but his successful Bench Boost in Gameweek 35 lifted him 97,000 places to just outside the top 100k.

FFS moderator Rotation’s Alter Ego continued his fine season with a 110-71 win over HPCAMPBELL, who had an overall rank of 262 coming into Double Gameweek 35.

Rotation’s Alter Ego now has an OR of 1,716, with a Triple Captain chip still to use.

Our highest-ranked remaining manager is LOKOMOTIV, who is positioned at 1,298th – that being his best rank of the season so far.

LOKOMOTIV, who beat dark91 102-81 in the quarter-finals, also has a Triple Captain chip still up his sleeve.

Skogen89‘s successful deployment of the Bench Boost lifted him inside the top 20k for the first time since Gameweek 10 and helped see off Hi Ho Silva Lining by 115 points to 82.

Skogen89 is another FPL manager who still has their Triple Captain chip intact.

The full quarter-final results were as follows:

Hi Ho Silva Lining8262631vsSkogen8911517965
HPCAMPBELL71829vsRotation’s Alter Ego1101716
dark9181701011vsLOKOMOTIV1021298
Ibra-gum123101067vsRoger15010973131

The two Fantasy managers who lurk just outside the top 1k, Rotation’s Alter Ego and LOKOMOTIV, have been kept apart in the semi-finals.

The full draw is as follows:

Skogen8917965vsRotation’s Alter Ego1716
Ibra-gum101067vsLOKOMOTIV1298

Need Salah to secure lead in mini leagues. 40 pts lead in two cash leagues

    A. Aguero, Jota to 4.6m (bench), Salah -4
    B. Eriksen, Jota, Tripier to Salah, 4.3, 3.9m (bench)-8

Rivals have Eriksen and Salah but not Aguero

    Lloris
    Laporte - Valery - Robbo
    Mane(C) - Son - Eriksen - Jota
    Aguero - Jimenez - Gray

    (Foster) - Duffy - Bertrand - KDB

Similar team to mine but yours is better.

I was only really considering KDB + Eriksen --> Sterling + Moura (-4) but I'm not convincing myself, hence I'm tempted to save and would thus give you the same (and probably incorrect) advice. Having 2FT next week might well be useful.

      Lloris
      Robertson -- Doherty -- Duffy
      Mané (c) - KDB - Son - Eriksen
      Aguero - Jimenez - Wilson

      Foster - JWP - Valery - Bednarek [0.3m ITB / 1FT]

    B) Martial + Gray -> Mane + Long

    Aguero Jimenez Gray

    Thanks!!

A bit. Eriksen directly to Mane is an option. But I wont like dumping him either..

  17. Sideways Backwards

    Thoughts very much appreciated here

    Lloris
    Kola, Laporte, Robbo
    Son, Erik, KDB, Deulefeu
    Kun(c), Jim, Vardy

    Ryan, JWP, Duffy, Valery

    2ft, 1.0 it

Obviously KDB to be moved on, but rival has Mane and I'm chasing so probably avoiding him.
He also has Kun so was thinking Kun and KDB to Sterling and Bobby?

Saving my TC (rival doesn't have his anymore) for 37/38

    1. Men in green tights
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 4 months ago

Just don't think I'd have a chance of catching, worth a gamble and bringing in a matching player is a waste of a transfer with only 3 weeks to go

Kun has done decently against Burnley, so I'd be wary of dropping him.

They know in their hearts that the league was lost on Wednesday and they have a European Cup "final before a final" looming next. So why risk any silly injuries to important players when their girls team could take care of Huddersfield?

              Disagree.

Either City or Pool will drop points before the season is over.

Matter of time. Wouldn't fancy risking it.

Including CL he's been subbed on the hour mark twice in last five, I think, so he's getting rest, and not sure Gomez is ready for start. Obviously I own him so trying to convince myself.

I don't own TAA, but seriously considering that double with Robbo. Rotation is the only reason I've hesitating. I imagine TAA gets the start, but could see Gomez at halftime if it's a bloodbath.

every week is a chance of rotation, but pool has one of the more settled teams in the league and there is no chance they will start resting players at this time of the year. if i was klopp i would start all and hope for an early lead and take out valuable assets around 60 min if he want fresh players for barca

    A. KDB + trippier -> Mane + TAA -4
    B. KDB + Kolasinac -> Mane + TAA -4
    C. Pogba KDB + trippier to Salah, Redmond (will start deulofeu) + TAA -8
    D. Pogba KDB + tripper to mane Bernardo Silva and TAA -8
    E. Lacazette KDB + tripper to firmino mane and TAA -8

Really want 3 Liverpool for this week...

    A) Vardy -> Firmino (seems crazy)
    B) Get VVD for a -4 (probably funded by Eriksen to Jota)
    C) Save
    D) Other

    Lloris
    Robbo Laporte Duffy
    Mane(c) Son Eriksen Deulofeu
    Vardy Kun Jimenez

    Foster / JWP Doherty Valery

      Similar boat as me.

How about Hazard in for a spurs mid. And then bring in Trent for - 4?

Also, Doherty on the bench is never a good idea, regardless of fixture.

Highly likely Trent is rotated for Gomez in this game I think. Also, Haz is done for me now!

    Haven't watched any Leicester.
    Are they good at defending?
Thinking of saving TC to use it on Sterling at home v LEI in gw37.

Gray’s minutes on the pitch to be quite limited in the run in when Deeney is back?

Nord much to lose bringing in Long?

What would the transfers be for the hit ? You sold on Salah for the captaincy ? He's been getting more shots off than Mane lately but Sadio tends to play more centrally and still appears higher on xGI.

Is anyone taking a hit to go Mane -> Salah for the TC?
Leading my ML by 6 atm and I know that my rivals will both have Salah too....

suicidal. -4 for a more expensive player with equal chances of scoring? (or even slightly less?)
