Fantasy Football Scout member Adam Levy is in a very strong position to become the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion.

The New Zealand manager has held the number one spot since Gameweek 29 and from then onwards has only consolidated his position.

Crucially, he pulled in triple-figure hauls for every single one of his chip deployments apart from the second Wildcard.

Playing his Triple Captain on Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) in Double Gameweek 25, he scored 125 points.

The Free Hit chip in Double Gameweek 32 yielded a score of 102, while a Bench Boost in Double Gameweek 35 produced a 117-point haul.

Despite not playing any chips in Gameweek 36, Adam still managed 109 points to strengthen his position ahead of the final two sets of matches.

All of those scores helped him create one of the biggest cushions an overall leader has ever enjoyed going into the final day of the season.

The gap between him and second-placed Falah Allawati stands at a massive 60 points.

The would-be challenger from Oman may also be out of chips but does have a few assets over the world leader.

Adam Levy’s team in Gameweek 37

At this point in time, there is an overlap of just six players between the two squads, Hugo Lloris (£5.4m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.8m), Aymeric Laporte (£6.3m), Raheem Sterling (£11.7m), Son Heung-min (£8.7m) and Raúl Jiménez (6.9m) the assets they share.

Crucially, at this stage, Adam has no Liverpool attackers.

He currently has a double-up on their defence with both Andrew Robertson (£6.8m) and Alexander-Arnold.

The fact that Falah owns Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) could prove the difference, although Son’s suspension may have opened an easy opportunity for Adam to cover the Egyptian off.

As of Friday night, Adam had cashed in the two free transfers he banked in Gameweek 36, opting to do them fairly early.

Son will have almost certainly been one of these, and a downgrade of Christian Eriksen (£9.2m) to bench-fodder will probably have given him the extra cash to get Salah if he wants – or Sadio Mané (£10.3m), who Falah currently doesn’t have.

That would allow Adam to start both Ryan Fraser (£6.3m) and Callum Wilson (£6.8m) against Crystal Palace’s out-of-sorts defence on the final day of the season.

How Falah got on in Gameweek 37

That’s an exciting attacking double-up that Falah owns neither of, although he has also done two transfers as of Friday night too, admittedly for a four-point hit.

Adam’s other exposure after Gameweek 37 is the fact he does not own Aguero.

The Manchester City striker may be a little out of form, just one goal in his last six matches, but he remains a highly-owned figure.

This could be who Adam pursued with his two free transfers, as the money gained from downgrading Son may have helped him upgrade Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m).

However, despite all of these potential avenues for Falah to catch up with Adam, it really would take something utterly spectacular from the world number two to stop the FPL title heading down under to New Zealand on Sunday.

Which combo do you fancy most for the final showdown

A: Redmond + Jimenez....already have JWP if that makes a difference

    B: Fraser + Jimenez

    C: Redmond/Fraser + Rashford/Mitro/Zaha/Vardy/Wilson (-4)

If C, which forward Q chose?

I think you are better off looking elsewhere for the potential points people are ignoring.
      That is the essential tactic.

      Sterling is not playing well.
Salah is against a good wolves side.

    Lloris
    Robbo Bednarek Cathcart
    Mane Eriksen Son* JWP
    Jimi Wilson Aguero (c)

    Kola* Doherty Jota

I was thinking something along the lines of Jimi and Son to Long and Sterling.

SCOUT PICKS CHALLENGE - GAMEWEEK 38

    Greetings from Vietnam!

We are finally here at the last gameweek, and what an adventure it has been. First and foremost I want to thank everyone whose taken part for doing just that - this is always an interesting game and the more people who take part, the better! In a similar vein I'd like to apologise for quite a few delays on results this year - I've had to adjust to international work travel quite a bit which has left me a little more fatigue and also using my time in the country a lot more with friends and family, so a lot less free time (and when I do have it, I've generally tried to switch off and unwind!). There'll be improvements next year - I promise!

Well - how does it look going into the final gameweek? Well the good news for those in that position - the top three are guaranteed to remain in the top three! Absolutely massive feat, well done guys. Now the FFS Scout is currently leading the way, exactly 3 points ahead of Ramboros. Lord (3rd place) cannot reach 1st or 2nd. If the FFS Scout fails to pick up any points this gameweek, Ramboros needs to win the gameweek to draw level. IF Ramboros wins the gameweek AND receives the additional bonus point - he'll be crowned the sole winner of the game. No pressure there mate....!

Apples...Oranges is in a similar position for 3rd place. He needs Lord to fail to pick up any points, whilst securing 1st place + a BP to draw level on 3rd! Still a lot of personal battles further down the field as well, feel free to check out the spreadsheet!

And once again, thank you all for taking part in this season's game. It's been a pleasure, and looking forward to a new FPL season already!

    GW37 results: https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/20358509

    ****** WHAT IS IT? ******

For those of you who haven't been around or aren't aware, every evening prior to the start of the gameweek FFS releases their picks of players for the gameweek, "Scout Picks", as well as 3 differentials before the first games to separate yourself from the crowd.

This is your way to have a bit of fun and challenge those scout picks with a set of your own (read instructions below). This will always open the day before the gameweek starts around 8pm, and whilst you don't have to play weekly, the more you play the better chance you have of winning!

    ****** INSTRUCTIONS ******

Everyone can have their own scout picks (there is no limit on team value) but with one simple rule,

YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE PLAYER FROM EACH TEAM
(yes, two of your players at least will be on opposing teams).

You can only have ONE submission, and your FIRST submission will be what is accepted. You also must respond DIRECTLY to this post (not to a reply on this post). FFS Scout Picks are automatically enrolled. Teams must comply with FPL formation rules and be submitted in an easy to read format, e.g.

    GK
    DEF DEF DEF
    MID MID MID MID
    FOR FOR FOR

Deadline for this gameweek is Sunday 12th May, 2pm.

    ****** SCORING ******

Regardless of number of applicants, scoring will be done by the following:

    1st place: 3 points
Top 4% of the population will rank "second" and score 2 points.
Top 10% of the population will rank "third" and score 1 point.

There is also a bonus point which everyone is eligible for. If you score higher than FFS' Scout Picks AND Differential Picks (i.e. 14 players), you will be awarded with a bonus point regardless of whether you were in the top 10% scoring positions or not.

Welcome to the game, and good luck.

    ***** THE STANDINGS *****

    Your top three:

    1st - FFS Scout (36pts)
    2nd - Ramboros (33pts)
    3rd - Lord (27pts)

Need help please guys! clearly Firmino has to go, but to who?? I'm considering a -4:

    Doherty to Laporte
Firmino to ??? (up to 8.2) - considering either Arnie or Origi, any thoughts or alternatives welcome!

    Cheers all!

    Team is:
    Guaita
    TAA - Digne - Laporte* - Valery/Lindehof (which one?)
    Mane - Sterling(vc) - Haz - Moura
    Aguero(c) - ???

    Subs: Boruc - Jiminez - Jota - Lindelhof/Valery

cheers Cas. You don't think Laporte is worth it for potential CS and bonus?? I'm pretty sure he would make up the -4 if Brighton don't score, which is highly likely?!!

that is the sensible option I agree, but not sure about Vardy playing Chelsea. Think Arnie may have a better chance vs worse opposition (Watford eye on the cup)....

    Cathcart VVD Bednarek
    Salah Son Babel Mane
    Lacazette Jimenèz Wilson

    Gunn Richarlison Doherty Dunk

    Son & who else out?

Mids seem hard to pick this week, should I just get Vardy in for Jimi? Will leave me with 7.2m to get a mid in for Son?

    1. Kola + Son -> Kompany + Bilva (0.6m).
    2. Kola + Son -> Laporte + (7.3m) Fraser, Moura or Deulofeu maybe?
    3. Other moves.

    Lloris.
    Bednarek, Kola, TAA.
    Salah (c), Mane, Son, JWP.
    Vardy, Aguero, Jimenez.
    Foster, Romeo, Duffy, Dunk.
2ft, 0.0m. 120k atm. Just hoping for a decent rank rise.

Leading my ML by 1 point, was planning on doing 2 transfers for -4 hit...
    Do folk think that:
    - Fraser, Pereira, TAA, Sterling and Long

    will out score
    - Bsilva, Moura, Pogba, Digne, Jiminez?

And if so, by at least 3 points?!

I see a lot of Vardy captainers on here and even some using the TC on him!

Leicester are playing 3rd in the league Chelsea aren't they and not Huddersfield tomorrow haha?

It's a risk too far for me, but as a Chelsea fan I can definitely see Leicester scoring tomorrow.

We've got off the hook lately, being up against teams with poor finishing. Watford & Frankfurt could have done far better.

CHE last four away xGC of 5.2. 7th best xGC based on criteria doesn't exactly scream 'opportunity'. I would be detoured if I was considering Vardy

If you had neglected to use your bench boost until the last week, would you bother taking hits to at least get a full 15 playing?
