Our twice-weekly live streams continue with a community questions special this afternoon.

Joe and Neale will be on air on our YouTube channel from 12:30pm BST but you can also tune in via the embedded video below.

This will be converted into podcast format after the event.

Yesterday we put out a request for questions via a Hot Topic and Twitter and we’ll be addressing some of those topics today.

Giggs Boson asked about Bournemouth assets and we’ll be looking at the Cherries, along with Leicester City players, in our latest mid-price price bracket analysis.

Bambi wondered if 5-3-2 is too inflexible should an early bandwagon emerge and we’ll be sharing our views on that, too.

With the ‘going big in defence’ strategy gathering momentum, two relatively overlooked premium forwards are also discussed.

We’ll be filming another one of these videos on Thursday lunchtime tackling more of the requests that were submitted on our site or on social media.

Keep your requests coming in for topics of debate in the meantime and we’ll get through as many as we can before the season begins.

Any Chelsea fans here? How long is Rudiger out and is Christensen at 5.0 a good option in the meantime?

Not entirely sure how long he’s out for but I think the opening weeks and he’d be incorporated with the cup games.. I’d say wait on preseason to see our CB pairing as Zouma is also in the mix now

Moura you know I'm going to say yes. Not done my first draft yet but I'll try and accommodate Moura as my main punt ( only 2 punts allowed max)

I like Eriksen but think Alli will do better this season, and want Son as well when he becomes available

    5. Skalla

Son is their best mid option now, so Eriksen could be great for the first couple but I would then rather punt on Moura for much cheaper.

    6. Eze Really?

All know Spurs are good FPL points scorers. ATM Erik is not on my radar due to uncertainty in his future. I think Alli if he gets his head right could play more advanced and become a good asset. Erik will benefit too with their new midfield acquisition. Jury out ATM

A, its a trap thinking KDB covers Sterling. A will rely on you nailing or moving on quickly to the best value striker but there are tones of options in that price bracket it will soon come apparent by GW3 which one is best

its took me a while to land there but with 20 clean sheets and only 22 goals conceded, I cant see that getting worst. Last year they went through a patch of going 2-0 up then cruising, I cant see any reason that will change

    4. The Big Fella
      • 9 Years

Only problem is ownership of Salah and that you don't have him. I would at least look to get Origi in for the first few matches if you really don't want Salah. I think Richarlison could potentially do better than Siggy for the first few games as he appears to start well and then get worse as the season goes on.

Rico is laughably shite. Alli > Pogba, especially if Ole keeps playing him in a double pivot. Martial is nowhere near nailed. Moura is a must transfer after mci.

        • 10 Years

Agreed Moura will be transferred once Son returns.
Disagree, Pogba is under priced and Alli is over priced, therefore Pogba better value.

In a world where he's been played in midfield for ages despite that not being his correct position, and now he'll finally play as a second striker I think he'll kick on much more.

He wont get the second striker position with Son and Moura in the side.

I think the values of the premium forwards this year is tasty especially when compared to the premium mids.
Kane, Auba and Vardy are £3.0m cheaper than Salah, Sterling and KdB!

            • 10 Years
            7 years, 1 month ago

Just Salah + sterling were only 46 points behind Kane, Auba and Vardy total. Add in a fit KDB and the value is in the premium midfielders surely?

            1. LangerznMash
              • 10 Years
              7 years, 1 month ago

Kane's injury record last seasons was the big reason behind that. Fully fit he pretty much matches Salah's points this year. Also Leicester attack under Rodgers will boost Vardy.
Power shift back to the premium forwards.

My Bench Boost GW1, Wildcard GW3 team:

    Pope,
    Digne, VVD, Smith
    Rich, Salah, KDB, Fraser
    Origi, Vardy, King

    Leno, Tielemans, Cathcart, Kelly

Instead of giving me solid advice such as; "Don't wildcard GW3".... do you think this is a good team for this kind of strategy or nah?

Unreal strategy well done. Not sure i’d get Vardy with his opening 2 when you can fill the premium spot with Auba, especially as you have tiele. KDB > Bilva, Leno > 4.5 and Vardy > Auba for me.

Could be travers just signed 5 year deal, either way we’ll know by the end of pre season but I wouldn’t advise that given you already have 3 decent BOU players, i’d Even argue losing Smith for another 4.5 like Dunk if he goes LEI then replace your 4.0 Kelly with Rico

Early WC after special team GW1, if you are wondering if you have discovered a wonderful tactic no one has ever tried before......naaaah. Tried, failed.
First GW has so many new variables there's no 'form' worth relying on.
Also using the card that early to load up on 'form' players is just asking to fill it full of one week wonders with 0.1 price rises that take till Xmas to shunt back out.

Been there , done that, Ars 0 - 3 Whu and a wc team full of deadwood, never recovered

      1. Ask Yourself
        • 10 Years
        7 years, 1 month ago

I never claimed it was never tried, it would have done well last year and I believe it should do this year:
        - Transfer window ends before season starts so by GW3 we will know the teams
        - fixture shift
        - Returning AFCON and copa America players, also suspended/injured ones like Son or CHO who represent unbelievable value and you can build a team around them

    Salah Sterling Brooks Moutinho Dendonker
    Vardy Wilson Greenwood

Moutinho In there for the fact he got 8 assists last season, up top quite heavy but just think Wilson has an edge over king...

What do you classify as a "punt" in your starting 11? Would Zinchenko count for you, seeing as atm we don't know if he's nailed on? How about Richarlison, who is a clear differential from the template? How many punts will you start off with?

    1. Eze Really?

      I count 7 in mine.
      Leno
      Holebas
Fraser: not many have him even though clearly immense value
      Pereyra
      Iwobi
      Auba
      Origi

Won’t count Zinchenko as he is set as the 1st choice LB for now. You can count rich for now too but I feel more will come around including me

I'd count a punt as a player I'm personally not convinced by but bring in anyway. So if I were to go for Wolves or Leicester assets early on, I'd count them as punts, but it depends on personal views.

Dont think Rich classifies as a punt because hes nailed on and will probably do well with good fixtures. Hes a differential because Siggy is preferred but not a punt. A punt imo is someone who is a differential because of doubts over his ability or even starting position. Someone like Yarmolenko, Andone, Lingard, Barkley are punts.

Not sure he is quite the right fit for what they need. Willock should play there as he is more in the Ramsey mould that worked well end of last year. Ceballos isn’t someone who penetrates the box so much, they shouldn’t have let Ramsey go basically.

Really hoping Haller comes in at 7.0. For now I'm holding Giroud at his place. Here's my team.

    Scmeichel 4.0
    TAA VVD Walker 4.0 4.0
    Salah Sterling Moura Zaha Hayden
    Giroud Jota King

Obviously, a 3-4-3 with little bench options except Hayden, but I reckon if I'm going with those 3 at my defense, I'm not really going to rotate them.

Moura is a punt until Son comes back, after that he is likely to be transfered but I hope he can find his place in the Spurs team.

    Any opinions?

How's this for a team of proven performers? Not sure about the dubble Leicester but the rest are no-headache picks. Thought about King for a long time but I started the season with him last year and he was infuriating so Im staying clear.

    Pope
    Robbo - TAA - Coleman - Dunk

Done some tweeking, switching from a 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 (Brooks > King essentially):

    Heaton
    VvD | Laporte | Ward | Gibson
    Salah | Sterling | Perez
    Aguero | Ings | King

    Ryan | Dendoncker | Noble | Diop

Hoping for Gibson to either move on or Maguire > Man U, Tarkowski > Leicester to make Gibson 1st choice.

    Any feedback much appreciated!
