Fantasy Premier League managers will have to entirely re-think how best to invest in Manchester United’s attack for the 2020/21 season.

The game-makers at FPL Towers have wielded their position-changing axe and reclassified no fewer than three key Red Devil assets for the new campaign.

Marcus Rashford (£9.5m) and Mason Greenwood (£7.5m) have been converted into midfielders to reflect their roles on the flanks of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attacking midfield trio, while Anthony Martial (£9.0m) has moved into the forwards bracket.

Fernandes haul raises the bar for top 10k's most popular captain Salah

These changes are sure to impact squad selection for the new season, but could also affect the appeal of Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m) who has remained a midfielder.

To fully assess which of the Manchester United attackers appeal the most for 2020/21, we have pulled out some key statistics from Project Restart, the only time that Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood and Martial started matches consistently at the same time.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

Which United attacker was in the penalty box most often?

See some backing Foden to feature a lot more with David Silva's departure. Worth bearing in mind that Bernando Silva played 828 fewer minutes last season than he did the season before. It doesn't seem unlikely to me that he will also eat into those extra Dilva minutes if he's in form.

And that's assuming they don't sign the likes of Aouar, who they've been linked with.

    I'd be cautious.

I guess after tonight they’d be more eager to sign Aouar. He is an amazing player.

      KDB
      Salah/Auba (close one)

It’s probably in that order for big hitters for me. But of course depends on fixtures.

Tear it apart - I’ve got 1.5m ITB. Just a first draft.

    Martinez 4.0
    TAA Pieters Vinagre Dallas 4.0
    Salah KDB Rashford Ziyech Soucek
    Ings Mitrovic 4.5

    1.5m ITB

"Of course you're not really wanting to go on loan but if that's the best thing for me to do in that situation, so I'm going to get more gametime then that's what I'm going to do."

If he goes on loan to one of the bottom half PL teams then 4.5 playing fwd and he may just find himself in my team.

    I agree with this take:

On whether Pep Guardiola overthinks in the Champions League...

Massively. Sometimes it works, like against Real Madrid in Spain. Great, that works. But too many times it hasn't worked.

It didn't work away against Spurs last season, it didn't work against Monaco three years ago because he messed up the second leg.

Why don't you play your normal team in a normal formation tonight against a team that is far weaker than you? Why do you need to adapt your formation to the opposition?

It just doesn't work like this. He has to take the blame. He has to take responsibility. It has happened too many times.

He has to step up and say sorry, I keep trying to come with ideas and it's just not working. If i was a City fan tonight I'd be really cross with what Pep Guardiola has done. He messed it up big time.

Pep is a decent manager but will never be a great manager. Couldn't win the CL with Bayern either.

Barca had a great team when he took over the reigns there.

He would be really average without a big transfer budget.

His record in domestic competitions solidifies him as a great for me. With a big budget comes a responsibility to get the recruitment and coaching right, to which the failed Chelsea and United managers can attest.

Completely agree. He cannot deliver on the biggest stage and he only takes clubs with much stronger squads than the rest of the competition (Bayern and City are examples). His stubbornness and one-track mindedness only works in the league setup where he can afford to drop points in the big matches but overwhelm the smaller teams on a consistent basis. He is not a flexible manager and that is why he fails in Europe against the top teams almost always.

He overthinks it everywhere - just shown up at this level when things go.wrong. Same happened in cup final.

Think the quality of the team is overstated though. Take KdB away and it looks good but not special. More squad depth but not so far ahead of United man for man

Not sure about the 'good but not special' bit - they won the league last year with 100 points mostly without KDB at all.

"Sometimes it works, like against Real Madrid in Spain". City were overplayed the entire second leg and only because of a horror show from Varane and some Madrid bad luck in finishing that they qualified. No credit to Pep there

Not worried about rotation. Mahrez was rotated last season and still scored 180 pts. Guy will play more this season with no Sane and Silva.

Traore will also play more given Wolves are not in the EL.

If they play with 3 CBs, Ake is nailed I think.
If they play with 4 at the back (2xCBs) it doesn't look so good as him and Laporte are both left footed.
I don't believe they would spend $40m on a defender unless if they were sure he will start
