Fantasy Football Scout has been voted as the ‘best editorial’ in Fantasy Football for 2020.

That’s according to the Football Content Awards who revealed the results at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, December 8.

The competition in our category was fierce with Athletic columnist FPL General, Premier Injuries’ Ben Dinnery, Fantasy Football Fix and Fantasy Football Hub.

Delighted Fantasy Football Scout editor David Munday said: “It is a great honour to receive this award.

“FFS is dedicated to providing high-quality, industry-leading content for Fantasy managers worldwide and it is wonderful to see that recognised by the football community.

“I would like to thank our incredible roster of contributors who regularly submit insightful articles as well as my hard-working deputy editor Neale Rigg. I strongly believe his Kanté-esque graft in midfield is the secret to our success.

“And, of course, full credit goes out to our readers and members who make all of this possible with their unerring support to FFS.”

Does this look set for this week?

    Mendy(Forster)
    Chilwell Cancelo Lamptey (Coufal)(Neco)
    Salah KDB Grealish Jota (Riedewald)
    Vardy DCL Watkins

    0ft, 1.5itb

No hits but might have to take them next week to get Bruno and even Son later on. Plan right now is Vardy, Jota to Fernandes, Bamford (-4) next week or for GW14. Already regretting going Ziyech to Jota this week, could have gone for Pulisic

Ok, I'll go again. Sorry if I'm being annoying.

    Is this madness?
    Grealish, DCL & Guaita -> Salah, Brewster & 4.0 GK (-8)

    Gives me:
    Martinez/4.0
    James/Coufal/Lamptey/Justin/Targett
    Salah(c) - KDB - Bruno - Son - Romeu
    Kane - Bamford - Brewster

    Can Salah (c) beat Grealish + DCL + 8?

Dude. Just do KDB -> Salah (C) and vice versa next week. Quit ripping up the entire team. Or if you don't want to do that just captain Kane and hope that Salah doesn't go off.

Not a bad shout. However, I have some money tied up with Greal. Would only give up on that in order to get someone like Salah. If I sell him for Jota, I'd want him back pretty soon.

Would you still be looking at Cancelo to Reece James in a few weeks if you already have Mendy and Chilwell? I know triple Chelsea defence sounds crazy but Reece is the best pick in that bracket IMO and that's what matters, Mendy anyway is a set and forget keeper and Chilwell seems like that type of option too...

    1. Live Lad
      • 10 Years
      4 years, 12 months ago

Double is enough. I would drop Mendy and do Cancelo to James.

      1. ⚔★Vibudh★⚔
        • 9 Years
        4 years, 12 months ago

Just seems a waste selling Mendy though, I just got him in...
And he still looks like he's a good pick in isolation, worth 0.3 over Martinez imo

If they are goid picks in isolation, then they are good picks. As simple as that. If your goal is to win LMS, then triple Che def won't work. Mendy made that annoying mistake last week, but let's hope he learnt from it. Also, gk position is in isolation, since you can't rotate him with defs or at least it's stupid.

    How is this WC team?

I don't really like the bench but Targett is nailed and Brewster will give one point at least if called upon.
I can go Watkins for Wilson to upgrade the bench but Wilson has good fixtures. Villa and Newcastle players in my team due to the possible DGW.

    McCarthy
    James, Chillwell, Dallas
Salah (c), Son, KDB, Grealish, Bruno
    Wilson, Bamford

    Subs: Forster, Targett, Brewster, Dunne

      seems fine to me.
moves to strengthen the fwds might take 2 trnsfrs but you can plan ahead for that.

I wonder is there anyone you see in the next 3-4 weeks who will have a good run that is cheap? maybe a mid in the 5-6 range to give you more firepower up front?

      1. Live Lad
        • 10 Years
        4 years, 12 months ago

Thanks mate. I just bought Bruno at 10.9 which means I can do Bruno + Brewster to Kane + 4.5 if needed.

Who would be the fall guy in your opinion out of the 5 mids? Grealish to 5.5ish.

I guess I would play those 5 mids for now.

        1. RogDog_jimmy
          • 5 Years
          4 years, 12 months ago

yeah i'm not sure! it's hard to look past those five
i think grealish is playing at a higher value...it's more likely KDB/Salah...maybe Salah is more a rotation risk? But I tihnk I'm saying that because I don't have him myself.

also as the season settles i'm wondering if it's more fun to try something different than what everyone else is doing

That's interesting, don't like Pulisic, Jota as options for Ziyech replacement?

That move looks good, just not sure about extra transfer for switching fodders, and btw if you go for it, Anguissa seems to be a better pick than Biss. Bissouma is YC magnet and 1 game away from a suspension

loved having him early in the season. was a small run of games where Ings/Jimi outscoring DCL/Kane and I was chuffed.
now he and DCL are similar prices I think he might be better value.

    Rest one of ;

    KDB, Bruno, Grealish, Jota, Raphina
    Adams, DCL, Werner

Depending on UCL I'm thinking either Jota or DCL.

Jota thinking he might only get 20 mins....DCL against Chelsea seems hard.
Adams with Ings back and Raphina against WHU seem pretty fun to play.

Any of these worth a hit?

    A) KDB -> Salah(C)
    B) DCL -> Ings

Not sure who to captain if I don't do A.
Have Bruno, Kane, Grealish, Bamford as options

The players I mentioned could also haul. KDB just needs a pen and a cheeky assist for 13-14 points. I might save. Swapping premiums isn't making sense at the moment.

Don't like any of the captain options this week bar Salah so I would heavily consider A but the -4 is slightly off putting. Otherwise just (C) Kane and hope Salah doesn't go off against Fulham.

                4 years, 12 months ago

I think Bruno is better because of Pep roulette but I prefer having the holy trinity + Vardy.

Kdb is the best City asset to have & if they continue smashing teams he will most likely be involved

          A) Robertson Jota DCL or
          B) Regulión Son Bamford

for the mid-term. I have A, can afford B. Think I will stick with A for the time being (I’ve made my bed after all) - a lot will depend on Jota’s gametime.

          Thoughts?

Cheers fella. Fingers crossed Jota starts, at least against Fulham. We should get an indication with the lineups tonight.

I chose what team I wanted 3 gameweeks ago, took 20 points in hits to get there, now I have the willocks that I’ve made a howler in not going with Son.

I would pick B. Only because of the reason you mentioned - game time. Plus I see two season keepers in B; or probably three.

Thanks mate. It certainly looks tempting on paper but perhaps is saturated in recency bias with what happened last gameweek.

Reguillon - For me a Mourinho defender in a constantly improving second season team is pure gold.
Son - Class. Extremely slim chance of regressing. Will get better as the season continues.
Bamford - Excellent returns considering his price. Leeds know only one way to play - attack attack attack.

All very valid points; I had both Son and Regulión until last week and sold to finance KDB (c). Which didn’t work out that badly. But I am of the opinion that when you’ve made a balls-up in FPL, the best thing to do is to fess up and correct it quickly.

True. But its a crazy season. We can make valid points to justify inclusion of a lot of players. Can only have 11 though.

Yes, that’s the big one. If he starts tonight and doesn’t at the weekend, then B starts to look very inviting. Probably a moot point since I will probably be priced out of the move by then 😀

            Would you rather go:
            A) Kane, Bamford and DCL (No Son)
            B) Wilson, Bamford and DCL (No spurs cover)
            C) Werner, Bamford and DCL (no spurs cover)
            D) Brewster, Bamford, DCL (so I can upgrade Mid and Def for the next week)

If I don’t trade Kane this week I’ll have two free transfers for next week where I’ll most likely do Kane + Jota -> Fernandes and Wilson/Brewster

Are spurs essential against Liverpool and Leicester? Cause I wanted to find a way to bring in Son against wolves which will mean I’ll do Robertson, Jota, JWP and Kane -> Lewis, Fernandes, Son and Wilson over the next coming weeks

Yeh i would say alot depends on Klopps team 2nite, they are 4 points clear so dont need to take any risks.

If Jota looks to have his minutes managed i myt bring him in instead of taking hits for Salah
