Two sides in woeful defensive form meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Spurs v Manchester United kicks off at 17:30 BST.

The Lilywhites and the Red Devils didn’t keep a clean sheet between them in the six Gameweeks preceding this one, each conceding 13 goals in the process.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has responded to the thrashing by Liverpool by opting for a more defensive set-up, bringing in a third centre-half in the shape of Raphael Varane alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

Edinson Cavani is also recalled to the side, so United seem to be lining up in a 3-4-1-2 as both Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have dropped to the bench.

Paul Pogba serves the first match of a three-game suspension after his sending off last week.

After naming an unchanged team for three matches in a row, Nuno Espirito Santo has made two alterations for the teatime visit of Solskjaer’s troops.

Ben Davies is in for Sergio Reguilon at left-back, while Giovani Lo Celso replaces Tanguy Ndombele in midfield.

GAMEWEEK 10 LINE-UPS

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo, Cavani.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Dalot, Matic, Van de Beek, Sancho, Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Emerson Royal, Romero, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Moura, Lo Celso, Son, Kane.

Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Reguilon, Sanchez, Rodon, Tanganga, Alli, Ndombele, Bergwijn.

Dias to Rudiger a good move? Already have James and Cancelo switching from a City double up to a Chelsea one in defence.

Thinking of switching from a City to Chelsea double up too. City seem to concede in games they shouldn't

Yeah exact same thought. Chelsea seem so much more assured at the back..

only reason I kept Ronaldo is cause I couldn't see anyone else worth getting with Lukaku injured, Kane woeful and Vardy doubtful this week.

Good for you. Nice points this week. I guess Vardy is not fully fit. Just happy I am not about to WC, would have no idea who to get lol.

Burnley as a whole looked good. Brentford were poor first half, but Burnley did look like they've found some form.

People with Gallagher playing or even on 1st sub must have some serious problems in their team otherwise why would they consider him playing against Man city (A). They simply didn't have any other choice but playing him.

Brought Kane in for Lukaku as Spurs' fixture run coming up is really good. Definitely regretting that decision now.... Kane just doesn't seem himself.

Fonseca was done & dusted then they pulled the plug as he was sorting out his relocation to London so they could pursue Gattuso on a whim... then they had to pull out of Gattuso when the fans kicked up... leaving them with that clown on the touchline now 😆

It does feel that the game would be better if most journalists and media skipped their nonsense opinion and just repeated results.

United beat city and level on points… let’s see where everyone is at Christmas before starting a hate campaign against a club legend to try and hound him from the club
