Two sides in woeful defensive form meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Spurs v Manchester United kicks off at 17:30 BST.

The Lilywhites and the Red Devils didn’t keep a clean sheet between them in the six Gameweeks preceding this one, each conceding 13 goals in the process.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has responded to the thrashing by Liverpool by opting for a more defensive set-up, bringing in a third centre-half in the shape of Raphael Varane alongside Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

Edinson Cavani is also recalled to the side, so United seem to be lining up in a 3-4-1-2 as both Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have dropped to the bench.

Paul Pogba serves the first match of a three-game suspension after his sending off last week.

After naming an unchanged team for three matches in a row, Nuno Espirito Santo has made two alterations for the teatime visit of Solskjaer’s troops.

Ben Davies is in for Sergio Reguilon at left-back, while Giovani Lo Celso replaces Tanguy Ndombele in midfield.

GAMEWEEK 10 LINE-UPS

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes, Ronaldo, Cavani.

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Dalot, Matic, Van de Beek, Sancho, Lingard, Rashford, Greenwood.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Emerson Royal, Romero, Dier, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Moura, Lo Celso, Son, Kane.

Subs: Gollini, Doherty, Reguilon, Sanchez, Rodon, Tanganga, Alli, Ndombele, Bergwijn.

    Kane looks mentally switched off.

So should Nuno drop Kane, play Son up top and start Bergwijn?

Its quite easy to keep pointing fingers at the manager. Seriously, whether Spurs or United, these guys get paid s*** load of money and the least they can do is to give their best. Just look at Kane who is just coasting along.

Because he's signed a contract and committed to something.

I'm sure he can leave, if he wants to pay the cost of cancelling the contract, which at a guess would be circa £100m.

No he signed a legal contract in return for sums of money 99.9999% of humans who have ever existed would never get the chance to earn saying that he understood that he couldn't just "quit" - that if he wanted to "quit" Spurs had to agree a transfer fee first

100% - Even going right back to sacking Poch after getting Spurs to a champions league final

SPURS TO A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

It's all leadership stuff - they basically didn't have a manager/had 4 potential managers in the space of a few months after Mourinho/Fonseca/Gattuso-gate, their captain had to be dragged kicking & screaming into pre-season training like some spolit overgrown millionaire toddler who didn't want to go to school, and their chairman is like something straight out of a bond movie (and not the hero either btw)

Horrible, horrible club, with horrible, horrible cretins in leadership positions and deserve everything they get for the next few years

What a thoroughly tragic gameweek. 27 from 10 so far. Other than Salah (c) it’s been all 1s n 2s. So disappointing after a big green arrow last week. Foden and Son such let downs and I still have Raphinha’s haul v Norwich tomorrow to add insult to injury. Oh well. It’s only a game. It’s only a game.

Nuno made a bad decision taking the Spurs job. A club who aren't as big as they think they are, with unrealistic expectations, considering they have one one trophy in 20 years.

Should have taken the Palace job, who have low expectations. If you over-achieve, the he would have been regarded a genius.

    Nuno was badly advised.
