As part of the Meet the Manager series, Joe catches up Fantasy Football Scout regular poster and four-time top 10k finisher Camzy ahead of Double Gameweek 26.

Camzy started playing Fantasy Premier League (FPL) back in 2006, when he was just a teenager. Within three years he had finished in the top 100 and three more strong finishes within the top 10,000 followed.

But then life got in the way and FPL took a back seat. Rather than play half-heartedly, he took a break for three seasons from 2014.

While he was away from the game, FPL changed markedly. Chips were introduced and the number of managers increased rapidly.

In addition, the level of information available to managers grew, with social media creating further communities to discuss the game. This has seen an ever-increasing number of managers becoming aware of the intricacies of strong management – from following underlying statistics to keeping up to date with fixture rescheduling.

Then in recent years, there’s been Covid to deal with as well, with match postponements to tackle.

It was a different FPL world he had returned to 2018/19. But while the last three seasons have had a mixture of strong and less successful finishes, he has enjoyed being back and having FPL in his life once again.

This excellent career record and break from FPL gives him a unique insight into how the game has changed and the evolving strategy needed to battle against millions of clued-up managers each season.

He reveals the key aspects of his successful seasons that continue to help him and how he has swiftly adapted his strategy around chips.

With a Double Gameweek coming up, this week is a perfect time to put his planning to the test as he outlines the transfers he is keen to make and how he hopes to deploy his chips for the season run-in.

This episode also marks a reunion for Camzy and Joe, who were Fantasy Football Scout community teammates for a Euros tournament a decade ago.

If I don’t BB, I’ll need to choose who to play out of Cancelo, Digne and Broja. I’m leaning towards Digne at the moment, but Cancelo killed me last time I benched him for a tough fixture. Thoughts appreciated!

      A) if have a good bench with some DGWs may be worth to use BB and take it out of the way to stream team.

      B) If captain Salah this week you have guaranteed two thirds of his points anyway, and can use TC any other DGW with someone people isn’t even captaining, which may get you more points in total.

I was originally selling Foden but id sell Jota for Saka if Jota is out for a while. I would get Tierney instead of selling DDG for Ramsdale which would mean I have a keeper in 27

Liverpool are still chasing City, they had 2 weeks rest at the end of January and they are enough days rest inbetween each game. Other side of the coin is Tsimikas is a good backup option for Robbo if Klopp want to rest him.

Fixtures are there to attack and Robbo is in good form.

With Jota injury, Pondering these moves for a -4. Yay or Nay?

    Bruno + Martinelli > Mane + Saka (-4)

Will give me a Liv triple up (Mo and Trent also) plus Arsenal coverage. Then plan to move out Mane > Son for GW26 and bench the blank players giving me 11 potentially saving the FH for later

    Ramsdale
    TAA Cancelo Tierney
    Salah(tc) Jota* Foden Bowen Saka
    Kane Dennis

Foster King Shaw Johnson 0.1 ITB and on -12

I have two FH, should I use one in GW26 and wipe out the -12 or GW27? My transfers have been Bruno>Salah, Reguillon>Tierney, Pickford>Ramsdale and Pogba>Saka……cheers

Only have 4 DGW players and Jota might be injured and Foster isn't great.

    Foster*
    TAA* - Cancelo - Laporte
Bruno (Salah)* - Jota* - Bowen - Foden
    Dennis* - Watkins - Antonio

    Ddg - Ramsey - Dawson - Livra

I think the the straight swap looks good the more i think about it. Gives you a place holder for Jota when he returns and appeals if you work on the assumption Tsmikas will get one game (maybe the leeds game)

I'd expect Diaz to start one and come on with 20mins left in the other

Yeah, i can esily see him starting the Leeds game to rest mane ahead of the cup final, any mins vs norwich is a bonus and saves a double move to try and get to robbo / firmino

Does anybody have a FH team for this GW that they are confident about?

Salah in for Bruno or KDB?

      Long term - KDB.

Short term i.e. next two games, could argue Bruno but KDB's form atm is fantastic and could be high scoring against Spurs and Everton.

      KDB for me.

    Ramsdale (dgw) DDG (sgw)
TAA (dgw) Robbo (dgw) Cancelo (sgw) Shaw (sgw) Reguilon (dgw)
Salah (dgw) Foden (sgw) Bowen (sgw) Zaha (dgw) Moura (dgw)
Edouard (dgw) Dennis (dgw) Watkins (sgw)

Would this lot be worth bench boosting? Or just go the template TC Salah?

Argument for BB is those opportunity’s are a lot less common while tc is viable on a lot more occasions..

I'd probably BB that, but suspect many on here will disagree 🙂

If Diogo is out for DGW I may as well go ahead with this moves: Jota & Coufal âž¡ ESR & VVD

Two great differentials against top 100k template, who have higher ownership than 13% just because of the dead teams.

      You see dead teams.

I'd go Odegaard and Robbo over those two.

I'm sure you know the risk with ESR. VVD is interesting as he's the only one in that back 4 we are 99% sure won't be rotated. But does he fall in the low risk, low reward category?

Yeah, might as well get Gabriel or Tierny

Big at the back time again?

    Is
    Cancelo
    TAA
    Dias
    Robbo
    White

Too much fire power at the back?

      FWIW my defenders are
      TAA
      Robertson
      Cancello
      Laporte
      Tierney

So imo big at the back is fine !
