Depends, if they stick with current system or not. Feel like individually they're not as strong as they seem, system suits a lot of the players though

Sa, Kilman etc I don't think they're as good as they seem at first glance. Not many big teams play ultra defensive football like this, very protected

Had him most of the season. My only regret has been rotating him with Sanchez occasionally and missing some hauls.

Wolves attacking player of choice for W/C and their double? Still Jimmy even after being benched today? Or no-one...? =o|

Lage is a decent manager who gets his team playing good football, but just doesn't have the players he needs at Wolves to accomplish his objectives. If he gets a good summer window, Wolves attacking assets will gold next season imo.

Quiet game although they've been a bit lucky. West Ham have gone off the boil a bit lately and have been overrelying on Bowen a lot so it could still happen

Looking at ML, can’t quite believe everyone who’d stocked up on Wolves assets on their wildcards last week has got away with FHing them out temporarily.

Completely understand there were more appealing fixtures than West Ham/Wolves for the FH but doubt many would have second-guessed RAN and Jimenez being benched

          • 10 Years

Everyone's been saying RAN is far from nailed. I bought two other Wolves defenders for that reason (see above)

RAN had more game time while Saiss was away at AFCON. Now he's back Marcal seems to be rotating LWB with him.

If it helps they haven't looked great of late, I'm considering getting rid of Saiss for a Chelsea def already despite the double. They've conceded in 5 of the last 6 and xGC has been higher in the last 10 matches than it has all season

I suppose it's worth considering if you're FHing in GW30, but surely there are better ways to spend a FT and it's not worth a hit (unless James was already back and firing maybe)

              • 5 Years
              4 years, 1 month ago

Yeah it would be for a hit. I guess my justification would be the very good double for Chelsea and excellent fixtures for the remainder of the season. I've watched a bit of Wolves of late (including today) and I haven't been very impressed with them defensively and the stats aren't great either so I don't really know if I see them keeping clean sheets against Palace and maybe Watford, and even after that they're up against Everton and Leeds that need to go for wins so I'm not too sure.

5 players usually expected to start (Jonny over Hoever in Semedo's absence) are on the bench. Feels like rotation due to the proximity to their last game, which Lage talked about

I find it so funny that on the eve of Wolves' big DGW when everyone wants to buy them, Lage decides to rotate like crazy.
