Gameweek 1 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) comes to a close this afternoon with West Ham United hosting Manchester City at the London Stadium.

Kick-off is at 16:30 BST.

43.8% owned Erling Haaland leads the line for the visitors in Pep Guardiola’s 4-3-3 formation, with Phil Foden and Jack Grealish preferred to Riyad Mahrez on the flanks.

The Algerian, meanwhile, is named among the substitutes alongside Bernardo Silva, plus new signings Stefan Ortega, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez.

Michail Antonio starts in attack for West Ham, with Gianluca Scamacca on the bench.

It could be any one of Vladimir Coufal, Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson partnering Kurt Zouma at the back, with Craig Dawson and Nayef Aguerd missing out.

GAMEWEEK 1 LINE-UPS

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Zouma, Johnson, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals, Antonio

Subs: Areola, Randolph, Ashby, Coventry, Downes, Okoflex, Vlasic, Benrahma, Scamacca

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Foden, Grealish, Haaland

Subs: Ortega, Phillips, Stones, Alvarez, Bernardo, Mahrez, Palmer, Lewis, Wilson-Esbrand

You can still do fine without Salah. Yes it's more difficult but some people like the challenge and fun.

this, i have Diaz & Nunez instead, Diaz was unlucky, Nunez & Salah were lucky, next week the jam might be more spread around

And that's great but long term but he will outscore all midfielders by a mile, impossible to predict PPM now

He had an open goal, no defenders in front of him between him and goal .... 10 yards out and son doesn't square it to him. Could of been so very different. However, ive moved to Haaland.

Not always about chasing points. Check Kane's heat map and stats. He isn't the focal point that he used to be. Haaland is.
Given the volatile nature of the first game weeks you could be priced out of a move by £0.2m by tomorrow night.

Unfortunately it looks like Haaland's price is locked. This really frustrates me as it means the game is not even for everyone.

Could have scored though in a bad game (like Salah) and on pens.

Too soon to discard him for the season.

I’d rather have 2 GWs of information before making transfers.

It was actually a good performance from West Ham imo. I thought they contained a strong City team well. Just two bits of quality decided the game, with Gundo and KDB feeding Haaland...

I can't see Bournemouth putting up the same level of fight.

I didn’t think either side were anywhere near their best.

    Normally hold transfers where possible.
Normally wait on using FT's until the press conferences.
Normally never go early, like to hold nerve.

However, when he was subbed off, for the first time ever, before the gameweek had even finished I've done Kane - Haaland.

Sometimes you just gotta admit you've got it wrong, Haaland looks like he's going to be FPL Gold. Should never of doubted his ability to do it in this league when his goalscoring record is so very good.

    ...(H)aaland blank incoming.

Kane took 15 games to score his first goal in august. Not a typo! That is 4 games shy of half a season if you play every game. Many players play 15 games in half a season. Think about that. This is not a curse. Its not superstition. It is historical facts that fpl managers should at least be aware of. A 20-30 goal a season striker needing half a season to score 1 goal in august is a problem. I know it hurts that haaland hauled and you missed this. But maybe you will learn from it. Then again you didnt from the last 8 years so i guess one more slow start means nothing to you because this is just some zambian curse mumbo jumbo

    A) Rashford + Archer -> Mitro + 4.5

    73 all out.

+ Changed Perisic to Trippier before deadline; Chose Haaland over Kane

    - I was just changing Rashford to Martinelli but missed the deadline
Baily started while DaSilva waves from the bench but to be fair I was never going to start the later.

How about you, how was your start?

Which means kdb or avoid. If you don’t have kdb I wouldn’t transfer him in

    Okay game week over
What are everybodies transfer plans ?
    I'm doing the boring/planned/predictable
    Kane -Haaland
But I still have Son as Spurs coverage
Probably move to Kula later on

Only have Mount as a concern. And Bailey. Having said that will probably roll the FT

I did Haaland from Kane - didn’t have any money leftover so did it now to avoid price changes! Not sure about some others in my team but will wait a bit

        I kept a cheeky £0.5m ITB to avoid those annoying £0.1m rises/falls
        No hits next week though

Would you consider Robertson and Johnson for Nunez and Neco (-4)?

    Johnson / Neco first subs.

Hold, you'll want him for GW3 and beyond when he'll probably start more often than not. Maybe just bench him next week.
