On a WC, which would you go for?

    A) Pope, Cancelo, Martinelli
    B) Guaita, 4.5 DEF, Sterling

Conscious that Cancelo has tough fixtures and a blank in GW12, plus option A would mean I have 4 City/Ars players to deal with by GW12

      A

Why can't you go for someone else other then Martinelli in option A. I would want Cancelo for the long run regardless of fixtures and blanks

I'm on wc too and I'm bringing in Sinisterra over Martinelli then going Saka after gw12

Is it worth using my WC now? If not GW12 the best time to do so?

    Raya
    TAA Cancelo Saliba Perisic Neco
    KDB Martinelli Bowen Andreas Dasilva
    Haaland Mitro Jesus

    1FT and 0.9 ITB.

Can't see that happening, it's a local derby so fans can get to the stadium by other means even if they have to walk

Most real fans live within a couple miles of their teams stadium.

Tottenham and Arsenal are a few miles apart.

      Not going to happen.

Not worth a double up imo. My H2H opponent had triple Newcastle defence and one Bournemouth goal destroyed it. Pope won’t be taking corners or burying free kicks so Trips all the way if torn.

Hahaha. My search for a differential is going to far lol. Can't afford Sterling without sacrifices, but thinking now best avoid Chelsea attack with so many games coming up and new manager question marks

Maddison & Zaha are huge differentials at this moment just have a look at their ownership. Barely anyone in my ml's own either of them.

As for sterling you are right, I tried fitting him in but too much sacrifice as you say. Plus is he really that much better to own over zaha & maddison? I doubt it tbh

Only way I can do that is Trippier to Ben White and Iversen to Pope. Worth it? On paper it is because Ward is so bad but I feel like Trippier has such a higher ceiling than White does so it's tricky.

I guess you think Liverpool will regain some sort of form with players returning but for me both Trent and Salah is over kill with the fixtures. Maybe Trent is the cash cow you need to get a better Keeper and maybe Solanke as a third striker option.

Used my FT to do Groß to Maddison. Now:

    Pope (Ward)
    Cancelo, Perisic, Trippier (Saliba, Neco)
    KDB, Zaha, Maddison, Martinelli (Andreas)
    Haaland, Jesus, Mitrovic

    A. Perisic to James/TAA for a hit
    B. KDB to Salah fot a hit
    C. WC
    D. Keep as is, hitless

(I don't feel like WCing, as I wouldn't make that many changes, but is there a more optimal time? I fear I might keep delaying it and end up not using at all — taking unnecessary hits therefore since sometimes "it's just a hit, no need to WC"... maybe GW12 with the blanks?)

    1. El Tel
      • 10 Years

D - nicely poised. I would keep hold of the WC for maybe GW13

    James - Cancelo - Tripp - White
    Salah - Foden - Mart - Andreas
    Mitro - Haaland

    Sanchez - Neco - Groß - Archer

      1. starting ward is reason enough to consider wc
      2. You might want consider removing sanchez with their upcoming fixtures
      3. Go 3 up top
      4. Get ahead of those saving their wc for 12/13, it's very easy to plan for fixtures in gw13 to gw16.
      5. Wc12/13 is so short term, I don't see much gains

As it stands today, Diaz is best value for money as long as Salah isn’t back to his «normal» and Pool seems to struggle more than usual. And you probably won’t cap him, tricky fixtures after this GW

Yeah I really do like the look of him mate and he plays in an attacking team. Rodrigo coming back at the start of October will be interesting though given Sinisterra has scored twice in his absence.

Between Sini and Harrison myself. Can see this decision going down to the wire.

Harrison is also an option but without any stats to back it up I like the threat posed by the Colombian.

8G+1A last season and 8G+10A the season before that. Already on 1G+3A this season already and has looked a lot more pivotal to the Leeds attacks whenever I've watched them play. Fancy him quite a bit to go even better this season.

Is he worth the extra .7 over Aaronson though?

If Aaronson could match Haarison or even better, it'd be swell for me, especially on the WC. But Aaronson is still a relatively unknown quantity in the English league and Haarison has done well for the last two seasons. And easy to go Harrison -> Aaronson if needed instead of the other way round.

Keeping my WC for later on. I only have 1.9m in the bank which means Maddison is out of reach without a hit or losing Marti, so I will probably do Gibbs-White to Zaha and play him against Chelsea.

    Pope
    TAA, Cancelo, James, Trippier
    Son, Martinelli, Gibbs-White
    Haaland, Jesus, Mitrovic
    (Ward, Andreas, Gross, Nico)

          You will lose 0.3m value.

Now, if you sell at 6.3m and he drops in value and buy him at 6.4m, then that's an effective 0.1m swing in team value.

I thought Sterling - Maddison - Zaha will be the most common midfield for the WC in GW9. But, I don't see much of this combo in the few WCs I have been seeing here. What am I missing here?

Yes, I thought the popular front 7 will be:

        Salah/KDB/Son - Sterling - Maddison - Zaha
        Haaland - Mitrovic - Toney/Isak.

But, I am not actually seeing this combination around here. Hence, I thought I was missing something.

I think Maddison is the most popular currently.

I think Trent has better fixtures than Cancelo in GW9-12, next 4 gameweeks.

        A: BHA, ars, mci, WHU
        B: MUN, SOU, liv, blank

I forgot about the blank GW12, maybe you got a point there.

On the other hand, I see SOU easier than BHA (just) and MUN easier (or rather less difficult) than ars.

I don't buy all this Palace clean sheets because of fixtures conjecture, I think they'll concede at least one most games.

Its not a pure fixtures play with Guiata for me. Palace defence built up a lot of credit last season & I think they've continued in a similar vein despite the worst possible fixtures. The stats aren't great right now but if you take away only the unstoppable Haaland hat-trick I think they'd seem much better. They frustrated Liverpool, kept things respectably tight against Arsenal & seemed for much of the game like they might turn over City again. With Brighton's fixture turn & loss of Potter, I think Guiata is by far the standout 4.5 now

On a WC, which seems better?

    A: Sterling + 4.0 fodder (Neco/Patterson rotation for 3rd defender every week)

    B: Martinelli + James + 1.5m

    Lads, need your inputs

    Pope
Cancelo Trippier Perisic (N. Williams) (Guehi)
    KDB Martinelli Zaha Bailey (Andreas)
    Haaland Mitrovic Kane

Bailey is the weak link. He had an atrocious performance last gameweek and I fear that he may get dropped.

    Would you
    A. Take his one pointer on the chin ?
    B. Kane to Toney, Bailey to Maddison for -4
    C. KDB to Maddison, Bailey to Diaz for -4
    D. Play Neco Williams and hope for an assist against Leicester
