Gameweek 10 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) reaches its conclusion on Monday, with Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa getting underway at 20:00 BST.

The hosts prop up the table after losing five matches in a row, while Villa begin the matchday in 16th place despite putting together a three-match unbeaten streak.

Steve Cooper makes five changes from the side that lost 4-0 to Leicester City in Gameweek 9, with Serge Aurier, Harry Toffolo, Ryan Yates, Remo Freuler and Emmenuel Dennis all coming into the starting XI.

That means Neco Williams, owned by 24.4 per cent of managers, drops to the bench.

As for the visitors, Steven Gerrard is without the injured Ludwig Augustinsson and Leon Bailey.

However, Matty Cash returns at right-back after missing two Gameweeks, while Emiliano Buendia is also handed a rare start.

GAMEWEEK 10 LINE-UPS

Nottingham Forest XI: Henderson, Aurier, Cook, McKenna, Toffolo, Kouyate, Yates, Freuler, Gibbs-White, Johnson, Dennis

Subs: Hennessey, Williams, Worrall, Boly, Mangala, O’Brien, Lingard, Surridge, Awoniyi

Aston Villa XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Young, Douglas Luiz, McGinn, Ramsey, Buendia, Coutinho, Watkins

Subs: Olsen, Bednarek, Chambers, Archer, Sanson, Bogarde, Nakamba, Dendoncker, Ings

Neco is a cert to come on with 10 to go, and block my Andreas bench points.

Do we expect Foden to play on the left again vs Liverpool?
Foden vs Milner/Gomez could be just as juicy.

    A) Play Bailey and probably get a 1 pointer

    B) Bailey > Rashford (-4)

Worth noting that gameweek 12 is a midweek fixture list so it's possible Neco could get a start if Aurier starts in 11 on the previous weekend. Turnaround for forest is Saturday/Tuesday as well

The true value of the Free Hit involves the weeks around it too. If someone was carrying and looking to hold 6 from City & Arsenal I think it's worth some consideration!

    Guaita
    James, Trippier, Cancelo
    Salah, Zaha, Maddison, Sinisterra
    Mitrovic, Haaland, Toney

    Subs: Iversen, Neco, Andreas, Emerson

    GW11 - Salah + Sini --- Sterling (or Bowen) + Trossard
    GW12 - Emerson --- Guehi
    GW13 - Mitro --- Jota

Until the World Cup, who should I go for out of Zaha and Bowen?! Looking to do it tonight before the Bailey price drop!

Own Andersen from CPL if that helps the decision..

Why is my team so bad? A few red arrows in a row. What is the problem?

    Sanchez, Ward
Cancelo, James, Trippier, Saliba, N. Williams
De Bruyne, Maddison, Zaha, Martinelli, Andreas
    Haaland, Jesus, Mitrovic

    Thank you!

No idea there? Pretty much same team with a couple players different and I’ve improved a lot in rank?
      Strange one.
Did you catch Maddison’s haul against Forest?
Only thing I can think of is if you brought players in AFTER their respective hauls?
Not much help I know 🙂

Free-hitting in GW12 seems to becoming a better and better option by the day to make up some serious ground on rivals. Injuries are starting to stack up in teams and most will have no playing bench to bail them out and will be relying on the likes of Andreas and Neco to bring home the points, the latter of which is no longer nailed and may not even play. Plus you get all your Arsenal & City players back the following week so don't need to transfer any out.

It's a good shout but I think navigating GW12 with a few hits if necessary is better than burning a chip that could be very useful later in the season.

Net gain of 6pts frm my - 8, defender i brought in injured and Saka on fire when he blanked for wks when i had him. And still at 3.5 OR. Toughest season ever even worse than covid season last yr.

Going to transfer out TAA for some funds. Need the defender for GW11 and GW13. Who do you prefer?

    A) Kilman (NFO, LEI)
    B) Zouma (sou, BOU)
    C) Romero (EVE, NEW)
    D) White (lee, sou)

What do people reckon with Sterling for the next two GWs? Was he simply rested by Potter or is he too much of a rotation risk?

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

Rested, played every game this season for Chelsea until Wolves (as well as both England games in the IB), was frustrating as an owner but I'd much prefer he got the rest now than in GW12

Hopefully, yeah. He could be very handy over the next couple of GWs given the blanks. Might consider him for next GW.
