Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gets underway tonight, as Brighton and Hove Albion visit Brentford.

The hosts have failed to win any of their last three league matches, while Roberto De Zerbi is seeking his first win in the Premier League.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Thomas Frank makes three changes to the side that were thrashed 5-1 at Newcastle United in Gameweek 10.

Vitaly Janelt, Frank Onyeka and Yoane Wissa all start, with Shandon Baptiste and Josh Dasilva dropping to the bench. Aaron Hickey, meanwhile, is not in the squad.

As for the visitors, De Zerbi names an unchanged XI.

That means Robert Sanchez, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard start, all of whom are owned by over 15 per cent of Fantasy managers.

Instantly regeret not picking a Wolves defender over a Brighton defender after paying further attention to their fixtures

I went Kilman over the Brighton defence. Still we dont know if it was the right choice but at least it is not the wrong choice for this gw.

I’m still not certain I would bring Wolves defender for James. Can go for anyone with 0.7 ITB. Maybe even Robertson. Was considering Brighton defender or Guehi.

Patience is beautiful. If you think your player isnt getting the points, just chill and relax as long as you feel he will reward you sooner or later. The game basically balances itself out so moving players around in haste will always end up screwing your OR.

Most of the times. But it is difficult to predict. And sometimes it becomes too late to hop on the next bandwagon. For example, Trent this season. Had good underlying numbers but not the points.

But Pool were bad if you cared to watch. You could see that they arent playing with the same confidence. I started with 2 Pool defenders ib Robbo and TAA, by gw3, I was fed up with both and eventually ended up with none. Since then i have gone from 2M OR to 100k.

They weren't bad though ; they were missing ludicrous amounts of chances and misplacing the final ball a lot ; it's been more than getting done on the break than anything. But yeah, it was clear from a defensive POV they were going to concede a goal a game.

I meant they were not the same defensive unit from the day go (compared to last few seasons). They never gave me a lot of hope even when TAA got that 17 pointer. I had to lose Robbo early and eventually TAA.

Why didn't you show "patience" with Liverpool defenders but you did with the Brentford lads? Does patience only apply in certain circumstances and what are those circumstances?

Well, I showed patience with Toney. But I dumped all my Liverpool players in GW3. That was because they were too expensive to hold. Toney's numbers seemed ok with respect to his price. Salah's did not. Premium defenders require clean sheets + attacking points. But Liverpool were failing to keep clean sheets. Trent was too expensive to hold for attacking returns only.

Liverpool were failing to keep clean sheets for 3 GW's after a season of keeping 20 clean sheets? Is 3 GW's a big enough sample size for you? There was a lot of luck involved in that decision.

You could easily see their confidence. That's the main reason i prefer eye test to mere stats which doesnt give you the real perspective. I dont know if you watched Pool games, but it was clear they were not the same.

Simply i didn't believe they are showing enough going forward. For Toney, I believed it will eventually work out for him given he is their main talisman, on pens, was not a premium who would eat up my budget and werent many around his budget who would be able to replace him. For Pool, I just didnt believe TAA and others were worth being on my team when i could spread the funds.

Son is at last now showing the glimpses from what he used to show in the last few seasons. Problem is Kane is cheaper and probably better alternative from Spurs this season.

    Looking forward to midweek GW12.

    A) James --> Robertson
    B) KDB --> Salah (c)
    C) take a hit for A + B

    Pope
    Trippier, Webster, Struijk
    Maddison, Zaha, Andreas
    Toney, Mitrovic
(Ward, James, KDB, Haaland, Martinelli, Saliba)
    1FT, 3.7m

Maddison YC this week will hurt.

Also an option, of course. Liverpool is a fixture play mostly. Good fixtures in GW12, 13 and 14. And also allows me to get 10 or 11 players on the pitch.

Hi Bankst, agree on nfo away and LEE at home as potentially profitable, not sure on WHU at Anfield as a great fixture. Last I saw the Hammers we’re doing very well on their defending numbers.

There are so many hindsight-merchants here, they don't say a peep before the GW but as soon as something goes right for them they tell you why they made the correct decision! You won't hear them when a decision goes wrong! They then say content creators got it wrong because they did something different to the content creators and it went well for them! This is a game where luck is involved, even the most irrational decisions can pay off! It's a long season and if you make logical decisions every week, a good rank will follow.

I think you are overthinking. Let people rejoice with the good decisions they made. There is a lot of luck in this game, but also a lot of logic involved. I for one will never bash anyone because of a mere game but if you got good results or had a good decision work out then you are allowed to enjoy it as long as u dont point fingers. Cheers.

Yeah fair enough, I'm not trying to rain on your parade and well done. It irks me a bit though when people come on and say that they made a great decision because it worked out for them when the logical decision might have been something different and then they say that people making the logical decision were wrong. Not saying that your decisions above were illogical either or trying to point fingers.

Ideally wanted to wait until GW13 but looking like too many injuries.

      Pickford (Ward)
      Trippier Guehi Strujik Justin (Cancelo)
      Salah Maddison Zaha Andreas (Martinelli)
      Wilson Darwin (Haaland)

Maddison to Saka or Foden in 13. If Maddison gets suspended can be anyone else for a 1 week punt.

So who are the best 3 strikers to own?

Its looking like Haaland, Kane and Toney isn't it?

      Saka can match Jesus points

      Mitrovic is a bit behind

Firmino cant carry on his form

      Everyone else is crap

        Haaland, Toney, Jesus GW13 onwards.

Just a shame about the YC situation.

I agree. He had that one good pass to Welbeck in the box early in the match, but after that he was maybe the worst player on the pitch.

anyone else feel it's not worth wasting a transfer to field 11 next week?

I have 10 and would rather not waste a transfer to remove patterson for a 5th defender

would rather have 2 ft for 13 to bring in saka/foden/jesus

Whether it's worth using a -4 for a defender this week is debatable, bit different for an attacking player though.

If there is "dead wood" to ditch, the cost is probably lower this week. I have Coufal, KdB and Emerson (+ Cancelo, Martinelli and Haaland). I believe I will sell KdB to C Salah if he looks ok and Coufal has to go since he has been dropped from starting XI. Emerson at 4.0 and likely 1 pt is probably worth keeping.

Agree. I will keep Haaland, Foden, Martinelli and Cancelo in my team. Too much team value build up and you would want such players back. Waste of transfers imo

I would field 11 unless for a hit. Team value important sure, but it's one transfer.

For Tuesday what moves would you consider?

      Possibly WC into 13.

      Raya,
      Cancelo, Saliba, Dier
      Martineli, KDB, Maddison, Bowen
      Firmino , Toney, Hauland C

      Ward, Andreas, Trippier, Neco,

      .2

Those with KDB, move for Salah on the cards?

I’ve been thinking about Kane but if Mitro looks playing and I decide to keep Toney I can really just see Salah and Bowen as KDB replacements

Yeah need to see how he and Pool do against City. Still believe Salah will turn a corner, and the hatrick would definitely instill confidence. Pool also when they switched to the 442/4231 formation they look quite good regardless of the results.

I am not keen on it, would like to get someone else. C Trippier and C Maddison are also options. However, my main targets are Foden and Saka and neither has fixture. I will certainly scout Salah and Son at least.

Yeah I’m getting Foden for Maddison after GW12 anyway and can really play with any pick on GW12

Annoyed at myself for taking a -4 for Webster and Trossard this week, such kneejerky transfers... as always the best thing if you're not sure is to do nothing.

What to do with team? 1ft 0.6itb

      Pope
      Perisic Trippier Schär Neco
      KDB* Maddison Zaha Andreas
      Jesus* Mitrovic

      Ward Haaland Martinelli Cancelo

      A) KDB+Jesus to Salah+Firmino/Toney -4
      B) KDB to Salah and play 10
      C) WC
      D) Else?

      Sanchez - Ward
      Trippier - Perisic - Neco - (James - Cancelo)
      Martinelli - Zaha - Andreas - (Foden - Colback)
      Kane - (Haaland - Jesus)

      7 playing outfield players, 2FT, 2.2 itb.

Few thoughts here, before finalising exact transfers, what would you most likely do?

      A) Take 2 hits, play 11 then WC13
      B) Take 1 hit, play 10 then WC13
      C) 2 FT (e.g. Foden/Jesus out) and play 9 then WC13
      D) 2 FT but keep all City/Arsenal (so ditch James/Colback) and save WC (until when I don't know)

      1. agueroooooney

        Examples of some could be:

        A) James, Cancelo, Foden Jesus -> Guehi, Schar, Salah, Aubameyang

        C) Cancelo + Foden -> Guehi + Salah

        D) James + Colback -> Dier + Trossard

You have also Perisic who may make 1 pt cameo, Neco and injured R James. Whatever you do, it's not optimal. I might even consider WC.

Interesting, had not considered WCing this week, would be tricky though as I'd only have 3 Arsenal/City assets which would not be ideal
