We’ve got four more Premier League matches to look forward to at the traditional Saturday afternoon kick-off time, including home matches for Manchester City and Newcastle United.

There’s more misery for owners of Joao Cancelo, Kyle Walker and Phil Foden, all of whom are only on the bench this afternoon.

Despite the very short turnaround between Gameweek 17-18, there’s only one change for Manchester City from their 3-1 win over Leeds United on Wednesday: Bernardo Silva takes the place of Ilkay Gundogan in midfield.

Julian Alvarez is also among the replacements for the hosts.

As for Everton, boss Frank Lampard makes four changes from the 2-1 loss to Wolves.

Conor Coady, Ben Godfrey, the fit-again Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Demarai Gray are recalled, with Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil benched. Anthony Gordon and Yerry Mina miss out entirely because of illness.

Newcastle are unchanged for their clash with Leeds, so Callum Wilson has to be content with a place among the substitutes after recovering from illness.

Tyler Adams, Jack Harrison and Luke Ayling return for the Whites at the expense of the benched Marc Roca, Rasmus Kristensen and Sam Greenwood.

A Fulham side containing Aleksandar Mitrovic is unchanged for the visit of Southampton, who recall Armel Bella-Kotchap, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Aribo at the expense of Romain Perraud, Ibrahima Diallo and Moussa Djenepo.

At Bournemouth, Jaidon Anthony for Jack Stacey is the only alteration for the hosts.

Crystal Palace’s two changes are both enforced, as Marc Guehi and Joel Ward replace the banned James Tomkins and Tyrick Mitchell.

He doesn’t get monster scores anymore. He has very low goal threat, and even 2-3 assists in 1 game will not result in a monster score.

Hauling ‘sooner or later’ isn’t really enough for someone who costs 12 million pounds plus. Need frequent returns to justify spending that amount of money on anyone.

I don't think he's playing particularly well tbh. Too slow and in deeper positions. In set pieces yes ofc he can deliver but he's not looking sharp at all. Actually this City team. Low intensity and low tempo, no one to project the depth at all without Cancelo and playing Ake at LB...

To be honest Rico Lewis and Ake haven't set a foot wrong and don't deserve to be dropped. Grealish got a couple assists last game so makes sense to try to play him into form given what they spent on him.

Halaand is amazing. But he needs to keep this up all season to reach Salahs fpl record. I can’t understand that anyone ever did get this much points before Halaand.

Salah i think scored 32 that season. Haaland will easily reach 45-50 if no injury.

I know it’s impossible to know but what do you think Pep’s rationale is for the way he benches and snubs players?

Do you think he is the type to be very fickle with something he sees in training or a match and punish a player and benching for a while?

I don't think it's very complicated at all.

He picks players that perform when given the chance/trained well. We can see the first but we aren't privy to the second. Form and rhythm factors in.

Lewis and this defense played well last game. So did Grealish so they start again.

Just adding that while it might not be complicated it doesn't mean that it's easy to predict. Only he has full knowledge of the condition of the team and how they might want to setup tactically.

Pep totally wrecked Foden's form. I know it's not the 1st time he does this type of shaite (Aguero, Yaya, Jesus, Sane, etc, etc...) but it really is a strange way of managing players. Ibrahimovic and Samuel Eto having none of that.
