Friday afternoon brought confirmation that six teams would ‘double’ in Gameweek 34, adding more information for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers to use when planning how to navigate the peaks and troughs of this upcoming schedule.

This article sees us assess the clubs and players with, in theory, the strongest and weakest runs of matches over the next six Gameweeks, taking us through Double Gameweek 29, Blank Gameweek 32 and Double Gameweek 34.

Our colour-coded Season Ticker is the primary source for this piece; using this tool as a Premium Member, you can sort by difficulty, rank by attacking and defensive potential or find budget rotation pairings. You can even set your own difficulty ratings, should you disagree with our own.

You can see a tutorial on the Season Ticker here.

FPL review: Martial injury, Brighton's budget buys + Liverpool "really bad" 2

LIVERPOOL

The Season Ticker puts Liverpool on top over the medium term, despite the imminent run of Manchester City (a), Chelsea (a) and Arsenal (h).

Jurgen Klopp’s side contest eight fixtures over the next six Gameweeks, the joint-most alongside West Ham United. Unlike the Hammers (and several other teams), they don’t have the distraction of cup competitions at home or abroad – so the sole focus is on the Premier League for the rest of 2022/23.

The upcoming double on the road is a concern given that Jurgen Klopp’s side have lost seven of their 13 away games, failing to grab any goals at Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Yet the fixtures improve afterward, helped by them being one of six teams to have a Double Gameweek 34. It’s hard to predict what mood the Reds will be in but, as shown by this season’s 9-0 and 7-0 demolition jobs at Anfield, Liverpool assets are capable of turning up at any time and hauling big.

Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) leads the way for FPL targets at a time when premium midfielders are seemingly going out of fashion and it’s been even rarer to see £6.0m+ defenders like Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.8m) in active FPL squads recently.

Although the pair have helped deliver five clean sheets in their last six outings, the 5.69 expected goals conceded (xGC) tally suggests an unsustainable run of luck. Indeed, they’ve allowed the second-most number of big chances since the Gameweek 17 restart.

But the key Liverpool assets are still going to be hard to ignore from Gameweek 31 onwards, given that only one of their remaining nine fixtures comes against a ‘big six’ club.

WEST HAM UNITED

Thinking Martinelli and Zinchenko to Bruno and Shaw. (Money for Toney to Håland GW30). Will give me this BB GW29:

I can do zinchenko and martinelli to martinez and bruno - 4 and still have enough for haaland gw30

Can't make this work with shaw unless I lose saka instead of martinelli

That is an issue, I have to admit. I had planned to sell Mee for Shaw, but he has too good fixtures coming. I don't think there is obvious solution for this dgw, but unless you already have triple Brighton, Estu or Dunk are options with their future doubles ?

Good evening all!!! Would Bowen and Zouma be too much Hammers???? Back to back home games, play in 32 and a double in 34, Don’t have WC or FH left so exploring the options who play in 32 aswell….

    Thoughts welcomed!!!

    Cheers everyone!!

I don't trust WH to score once let alone more. So Bowen is a waste of an attacking slot for me. Zoom-Zooma is fine.

Cheers mate!! Yeah i think I agree, need to look past the fact they have back to back home games I think, yeah Zouma at 4.4 seems decent, fancy them to get Atleast on clean sheets out of the 2 games and then can just sit on the bench

Not sure if this actually makes any sense. If my closest opponent has say only Rashford flagged, I have 4 including Rashford, and he has 10DGWers, I have 7, does it make more sense to try and equalise the flags by taking hits (about 25 table points difference between him and me top of the ML) and not worry about a drop in OR that the points hit would probably cause?
I'm hoping an esteemed advisor on here who has thought this through better than my ramblings above will help me with this.
        Cheers.

The short answer is - try and get as many points as you can.
If you get more points, your OR will be better, and you have a better chance of outscoring your rival.

Now, if you're goal is to outscore your rival regardless of OR - then potentially there is a case for second-guessing their strategy and matching/diverging. But all of that is pretty hard to quantify.

If you think that taking hits for DGW players will get you more points (taking into account the hits) than not making moves. Then do it.

You mini-league points ALSO include the hits that effect OR. So they're one and the same really.

      Raya, Ward

      Dunk, Trippier, Botman, Gabriel, Mee

      Martinelli, Saka, Mitoma, Rashford, Maddison

      This DGW, would you:

      C) Ward > Kepa and roll a transfer

        Rash, Mitoma, MacAllister, Maddison, Saka
        Toney, Watkins, Kane

        5.9 mitb, 1 ft, FH 32 strategy

This is basically g2g, but I am chasing big time and wondering how to attack. Zinch to Shaw looks like the obvious transfer, Toney to Isak (-4) feels a bit "meh" if I have to buy Haaland for him next week. Watkins to Haaland is a possibility also. Saka to Bruno feels like risky dgw fever transfer atm. How would you try chase with this team?

Tbf, it seems like everyone has similar teams, but in reality, millions have already spunked their chips, and away from FPL social media, there will be some huge gains to be made if everyone plays.

Yes, but there are perhaps more than half a million pretty templatish BB teams to catch. At least after having had a good season having an awful one doesn't feel so bad 🙂 But tbh, I am already waiting for summer and next season.

Looking at BB34 rather than this week...too many moves/hits with injury unknowns too.

        Raya*
        Botman*, Estupinan*, TAA*
        Salah*, Rashford*, Mitoma*, MacAllister*, Saka
        Haaland*, Toney*

        Ward*, Gabriel, Gnonto*, Tarkowski
        1ft, 2.3itb

        a/ Roll it
b/ Gnonto > Solanke (bench Haaland)
c/ Tarkowski > Trippier (bench Haaland)

d/ Ward, Tarkowski, Gnonto, Halaand > DDG, Shaw, Watkins, Solanke (-12)
(Bench Boost...basically need 4x moves including Haaland out)

        e/ Something I'm not seeing...?

Tark & Ward would be the only ones I'd be looking at.

BB29 team. 2FT, one going to waste if don't come up with something. 1.6M free to use as doing Toney > Haaland for GW30.

        Kepa, Raya;
        Gabriel, Trippier, Schar, Mee, Estup;
        Rashford, Saka, Oderg, Mitona, MacAl;
        Kane, Toney, Watkins.

        Not sure what to do.
Have no free hit for GW32, so don't want too many Utd/City/Chelsea.

        A) Odergaad to Maddison (or DGWr)
        B) Gabriel to DGWr
        C) Mee - upgraded to someone.
        Anything else?

          I like A.
          Quality team you got there.

            Thanks.
            Maddison's fixtures look good.
Main concern is number of returns Arsenal might get vs Leeds.

I think that's a reasonable concern. One random thin might be moving Toney on. Gamble on him getting his final yellow card and then missing the second game of the double.

Just do to Solanke, Havertz, Darwin...and them move them onto Haaland.

                That's an idea I hadn't thought of.
The Mee upgrade was to find better DGW fixtures but thet do get better after.
If getting rid of Toney anyway, then can keep Mee for fixture change and do the upgrade of fixtures for Toney.
Something new to ponder. Thanks for that, I like it.

Hope it works out....going to ponder it myself now...

Feels like wasting one transfer with that short term YC gamble. Toney got 21 pts in reverse fixtures. Not expecting that to happen again, but 15 pts is more than possible.

I actually agree with A, because Shaw is not good option without FH.

Mee has decent fixtures coming, I also had plans to sell him, but he looks like decent differential to rotate. So no C from me.

Yep, those fixtures do get better.
I agree. Mee good for later rotation and llays when the blanks hit.

I'd be tempted to just go A. Maddison is quality and plays Bournemouth too next and Wolves in 32
I'm considering Haaland + Brighton mid to Salah + Solanke or Gnonto in 32 to get 11 out without freehit which is something you could also do with 5 blankers. Haaland for Kane in 33

The one with pen save? However, they are hard to predict. Zaha is not good pen taker, but I find it very hard to answer "Iversen" 😉

          I think so.
Ward will have 0 fixtures by all accounts - having been usurped by Iverson.

Losing Arsenal mids for the likes of Bruno and Maddison feels like such a trap this week :/ - So conflicted

        A) Martinelli > Madison
        B) Martinelli > Bruno
        C) Hold Martinelli

        I m holding Saka regardless

          33 Man City MCI (A)
          34 Chelsea CHE (H)
          35 NewcastleNEW (A)
          36 BrightonBHA (H)

Not certain about that^ fixture run.

Yeah. It's a bit of a gamble for sure. But it's not just about this GW, United have more doubles to come and better fixtures.

Planning on bb this week, current squad is
        Ward, raya
        Trip, estipunian, Chilwell, white, mings.
        Rashford, mitoma, saka, ode, maddison.
        Kane, toney, Havertz.

Thinking of these changes for - 8,
Ward, ode and Kane out for ddg, Barnes and Johnson.

Worth doing? Plus leaves me enough to bring g back Kane and Haaland
