It’s hard to believe we are into the month of May and there are just four FPL Gameweeks to go! Before we know it, we’ll be building countless Gameweek 1 drafts for the 2023/24 season…

Before that though, we want to finish this campaign with a bang, ideally with four healthy green arrows. For this week’s piece, I’ve shared my current squad and discussed what my remaining free transfers are likely to be if no major issues arise.

Probably looking at Watkins/Alvarez -> WILSON next week.

    Kepa
    Ake, Shaw, Estupinan

    Raya, March, Trippier, Mee

This is Goose to Torres Maverick…
        Do you copy?

At 0-0 and a Dalot yellow card - I was 1 point in the Danger Zone in Last Man Standing…

Cometh of the 99th minute and fricking Daddy Mac MacAllister penalty and we are into the final 27!!

Torres Maverick is your new name - MacAllister will save you MnT…

I feel the need, the need for spend!!!

Alvarez if team leaks indicate he starts imo - the 2nd striker slot is one of the very few available for differentials. I’ll be on the same plan myself, and save if Alvarez doesn’t start/de Bruyne is fit

Probably roll and Watkins to Wilson next week.

Villa should score at Wolves and you know the drill ... It should be Watkins involved but no guarantees.

Unless you want to ditch Kepa but late to do so now.

Mahrez started both games in the double. I feel like he is going to get rested now that Foden is also back. So I'd say Mahrez even though he has the potential to score big...

Picked the 3 worst Brighton players I could possibly have picked.

    Dunk (11), March (2), Mitoma (4)
    Vs
2 rivals who both had the Steele (15), Estupinan (16), Mac (12) triple up

A 26 point swing feels very harsh.

Tbf there is increased increments of prize money per Premier League spot and I think players end of season bonuses are based on that too.

So every incentive to play throughout May.

I just don't understand the Ederson pick. It absolutely baffles me why anyone would pick him.

    - 11 keepers with a better season points tally
    - 7 x 1 pointers
    - 13 x 2 pointers
    - 1 x 3 pointer
    - 1 x 5 pointer
    - 6 x 6 pointers
    - 2 x 7 pointers
    - 1 x 8 pointer
    - 1 x 9 pointer

Not a single double digit haul all season. Waste of money, waste of a city spot and not even nailed.

      1. GC123

Because he’s missed the last two and is still flagged. Pep won’t risk him before Madrid unless he’s 100%. If he wasn’t fit enough to be on the bench Weds then he’s clearly not 100% and three days may not be enough time

        1. Utopsis
          • 6 Years
          3 years, 8 days ago

Pep also hates it when his players don't have rhythm, so there's a good chance he starts and is withdrawn early

            • 4 Years
            3 years, 8 days ago

That’s very true. He did the same with Haaland but I guess it will boil down to whether he’s fit enough to even start. Having KDB on a WC last week was an absolute killer. The icing on the cake was losing clean sheets for Lindelof and Dalot in the 99th minute

            1. Utopsis
              • 6 Years
              3 years, 8 days ago

Oof that's must've hurt. It was a delightful ending for me though as a McA (and Shaw only) owner.

              Swings and roundabouts aye

It sure did. I can’t grumble as Lindelof subbed in for KDB but the late goal cost me circa 10 points over my ML leader. That said, I was 8th six GW’s ago so to be 2nd is decent progress. 2nd, 3rd & 4th are within 15 points though so it’s going to be tight. I’m keeping everything crossed KDB can start tomorrow, even if he only plays 60-65 mins. Should be plenty of time to tear Leeds a new one

I find Pep pushes him so much more than anyone else in that squad. You will hardly ever hear him shower KDB with praise - always says instead he can do more and he expects more from him, even after that performance against Arsenal.

Seems tough love is what gets him going!

Would my best move here be Zinchenko to Ake for next week? Got 0.2m and 1FT.

    Kepa
    Trent - Trippier - Shaw
    Salah - Mac10 - Mitoma - Rashford
    Watkins - Haaland - Isak

    Raya - Grealish - Botman - Zinchenko

Play Isak or Solanke, I think both Newcastle and Bournemouth score one goal each

Gotta play Isak but Bournemouth do have a favourable fixture home to Chelsea.

They've got to be going there motivated to show something tho?

I think something like 4-2 at St James Park.

klopps greatest achievement if he steals 4th off united after already beating them 7-0 ? a remote chance of it happening but i think id probably be laughing for the entire summer if it did 🙂
