Santos forward Deivid Washington completes his medical ahead of a move to Chelsea.

So Chelsea could have a forward line up of Washington and Jackson - is their policy to only sign former US presidents?

Currently starting players for GW3 include Gabriel, Pedro and Rashford

With 1FT and 3.5M spare, which option(s) would you go for?

    A. Upgrading Pedro or a 4.5 forward > Jackson / Alvarez

    B. Gabriel or upgrading 4.0 defender > Man City defender

    C. Rashford > Foden / Mbeumo

    Salah vs Haaland

Last week was a disaster for the Salah crowd. LFC Played Bournemouth, Liverpool wins 3-1, but Salah barely scraped out a return.

Watching the games, Haaland could have scored a brace and Salah is back to greed and wrangling dodgy PKs.

Disaster? Literally scored when Haaland blanked. Could haves don't get points in FPL.

Not a disaster at all the extra 3 got me to a decent 60 and was always the plan to lose him this gw , sold already for Mbuemo.
I agree Haaland could have got at least a brace but he did'nt did he.

      Onwards and upwards!

A bit dramatic. It ended Salah 10 - 4 Haaland. Irrespective of the manner of the points it paid off for Salah cappers.
I agree that I'm not feeling Salah as an fpl pick atm, but hardly a disaster.

Bit annoyed the first 2 GWs I've had to spend FTs on fixing my defence.
    GW1 mings & now GW2 Gabriel.
Plan in GW3 was to have lookin at look at attacking transfers.

Would you consider a hit to get rid of any of following attackers?

    Rashford/martinelli/mbeumo/mitoma/Saka/Watkins/haaland
    Mubama bench

    A)mubama>Wissa (bench watkins)
    B)Watkins>Alvarez
    C)Rashford/martinelli >Foden
    D)No hit

Should i be worried next gw going on without foden, brighton mid., Mbeumo/wissa, newcastle fwd. ?, I hope brentford vs palace will be a low scoring game & liver can keep newcastle somehow quiet so the damage will come from foden mbeumo wissa

    1. Unliklinho

Are you worried? If you are then act, if you're not then don't. This is all a guessing game.

If he is not worried, but we tell him he should be worried, and he then becomes worried, would he actually be worried about not having Foden, Brighton Mid, Mbuemo/Wissa, Newcastle fwd, or would he just have general worry because we told him to?

I would worry a little with no Foden for this gw but not that much with the rest , your lot could easily match or beat them. That said I brought Mbuemo in this gw but only because I had to use a transfer.

    Interesting article.

I believe we should always look for differentials, I don't have Salah, but captained Jota, so I won.

Haaland has been found out to a certain extent, granted he missed plenty of chances last GW, but without KDB his returns won't be as good.

There is an argument to play Alvarez and spread the cash...

Plus where's the fun in putting the armband on him each week.

      • 10 Years

Agree 100%. Having Haaland captain every week makes the game so dull. We all play for fun right? The most fun is to be had by picking a captain that scores well. Ideally someone that others in your mini-league didn't go for. The guy that wrote this is a risk-averse p u s s y.

I think Haaland(H) and (a) are very different beasts, and it's when (a) that we can look for diffs.

        • 10 Years

Yah I still don't have him, agree with the home and away thing. My worry is that Sheff United have conceded 40 shots on goal in 2 games. but they we're pretty open in both games. Will have 11 behind the ball v City.

I captained Salah last week because I thought Salah would blow up & Haaland wouldn’t, I’m not sure I’d bet that too many times, with or without KDB.

    Pickford
    Shaw, Saliba, Estupinan
    Salah, Rashford, Foden, Saka, Mitoma
    Haaland, JP

    (Turner, Beyer, Archer, Baldock)

    A) Salah & Archer -> Mbeumo & Jackson/Wissa/Nketiah

2 FT, 0.0 ITB. Happy with my team and sticking with Rashford for this week at a minimum.

    Onana // Turner
Chilwell Estupiñán Saliba // Colwill Baldock
    Salah Rashford Saka Mbeumo Mitoma
    Haaland Pedro // Osula

    Start one:
    A. Pedro vs West Ham
    B. Colwill vs Luton

    2. Colwill and Pedro to Gusto and Wissa

I done Pedro & Darwin to Wissa and Alvarez only because of the doubts over them starting games. For me, Pedro looks like he could be productive but he has Wellbeck and Ferguson as competition and you don’t know which way De Zerbi is going to go. With Wissas upcoming fixtures it could be a decent move.

Is De Zerbi Derby something we should worry about? C'mon it rhymes better than Pep Roulette. Many have already suffered with Pedro and as a Mitoma owner(another rhyme) I can see him running different horses for courses(see what I did there) it's going to happen with Europe and such a talented squad.

Beware the ides of March perhaps?

To give minutes to the likes of Evans, Hannibal, Fernandez, McTominay, Martial, Van de Beek and Pellistri (who all started)

Got Diaz already and feel like Jota is a bit overkill potentially and tough next fixture.

Worth a hit to Foden? Or hold?

Maybe is now but in a few weeks I’m sure it’ll be a popular combo when their fixs turn, for those who won’t go Mo.

Salah to Foden for free? Will then leave me money to upgrade Pedro and/or Chuk.

Salah and Haaland only current players from Pool & Citeh...current team:

    Onana
    Estu Chilwell Saliba
    Salah Rashford Mbuemo Saka
    Haaland Jackson Pedro

    Areola Chukwumeka* Beyer Kabore

Yes it's about the 2 players you get , I've lost him this week and will look at bringing him back gw 9 , can't see you needing to captain him till then.

Trying to remind myself price rises and drops should mean less once I downgrade Salah but having Gabriel for his drop last night and seeing Foden rise before I buy him was quite annoying. Price changes were crazy last night!

    Must. Hold. My. Nerve!

I don’t remember prices being so volatile as they have been this year (and last to a degree). Wonder if it’s due to increased spoonfeeding driving people to make early transfers to “beat the drop” (when it’s actually their activity causing the drop)

Don't forget the FPL Towers human element.

That's a good point. The spoonfeeding is so excessive - the amount of pre-season drafts from the offical FPL app, for example. That drove up the ownership of a lot of players, which could have contributed to the volatile market and, as you say, that spoonfeeding has driven a lot of the transfers since too.

The amount of people I've seen in mini leagues who I know don't even know who the likes of Estupinan or Mbeumo are but have picked them on the basis of official FPL 'scout picks' and so on. They look at me blankly when I ask them if they've actually seen them play!

I finished 106th in 2015 not knowing whether Charlie Daniels had corn rows or a mullet.

    Steele
    Shaw | Estu | Gabriel
    Rashford | Saka | Mitoma | Fernandes | Martinelli
    Haaland | Jackson

    Bench: James

Im assuming Gabriel will get a start now Tomiyasu is out so for gw 3 what is best of:
    A) Fernandes -> Foden
    C) James -> Akanji
    D) James -> Disasi
    D) save FT
    E) other?

cash dropped digne with the green light as the attacking full back, wonder if that'll stay the same until Moreno is back, depends on Carlos' performance level i guess

          why though?

Couldnt it be a situation where Emrey wants Cash to be 90 in and out for the league?
