you only transfer GK when you play wild card. No need to change GK if you dont really need it (except both of your GK is injured or sth), save your transfer for other players.

Personally, I think this well-worn cliche is a load of nonsense. A goalkeeper is just like any other player. I have no problem playing the fixtures with them and adjusting according to form.

Fancy taking on the Scout Picks?

Each week the Scout panel of Neale, Tom, Marc and Sam pick a team of players who they think will fare best in the upcoming Gameweek, but their choice may leave some people questioning - can I do better?

Well, time to prove you’re more than just talk - a member of the community will be selected to go head-to-head against the Scout Picks, with the person who has the largest winning margin across the 38 weeks taking home a £100 Amazon voucher and entry to our Mods and Cons League. Last year's winner was Boleyn Boy, who beat the Scouts by 27 points in Gameweek 6.

This year, the current leader is Prophet thanks to his 24-point winning margin in Gameweek 3.

If chosen, you will have a budget of £83m to select 11 players but outside of that standard FPL rules apply - you need to use a normal FPL formation and with a limit of 3 players from a team. And remember to pick a captain and vice-captain.

If you’re interested in applying, email me at will@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk with the subject heading “Community Picks”. Include your FFS username and FPL Team ID and I’ll select a champion at random from the entrants for Gameweek 5.

Ideally, I like everyone who enters to have a go, so let me know when you apply if you are available for future Gameweeks.

The champion will be picked Thursday evening UK time, so make sure to enter by then.

If selected you then have until 1pm Friday lunchtime to send in your team, but tweaks are allowed right up to the deadline (in case of injuries announced in the press conferences).

Money not an issue, which one?

    A) Son
    B) Maddison

    Transfer out:

    1) Foden
    2) Eze

I think wait for any news we might get but at this moment in time I'd go for Son, I expect him to retain his centre forward role, what a great pick if he does. I prefer City's fixtures to those of Palace, so I'd stick with Foden even though his minutes can't be guaranteed.

cheers, I am leaning towards Son as he is fixture-proof when he is firing on all cylinders and especially if he continues playing up front.

Whom to transfer out is a real dilemma. I am actually leaning towards transferring Foden out as I can potentially cover by transferring in Alcaraz with my other FT

Probably nothing but Solbakken, Norwegian head coach said after the game tonight that Haaland got a knock during the game, he decided to play on said Solbakken, but he did mention that Håland didn't look as sharp as he were before the knock. The knock came early second half. And he continued the whole game, but could be something to ponder when games comes thick and fast for City.

Who do you think will score more in the next 2?

    A - Sterling (bou, AST)
    B - Bruno (BRI, bur)

Currently on Sterling and contemplating whether to roll the transfer and bring Bruno in for gw7, or make the Bruno transfer now if he will outscore Sterling in the next 2

A imo, mate. I think there’s a possibility (maybe small) that Sterling plays down the middle for one - he’s got a great record against Bournemouth (11 goals in 14 games). Also a possibility that Bruno gets shunted out to the right. If either of these happened it would just make me even more inclined to say Sterling.

Cheers. Wasn't aware of Sterling's record against Bournemouth and a stat like that makes me inclined to hold onto him for the next 2

Not Foden....maybe Sterling? If you've got Maddison already then there's no urgency to bring Son in. I'm looking at bringing him in after the Arsenal and Liverpool games are done

There's far too much televised league format European football on.

The old format of two-leg knockout games had more jeopardy, excitement and novelty but obviously didn't produced the same volume of fixtures.

So teams can be doing badly in two league competitions plus domestic cups but remain in Champions League/ Europa League for much longer and the domestic tournaments.

The money men and TV coverage saturated it and took the edge off a lot of European fixtures at the same time.

    Good article ....
