        The other thing is while Dubravka makes sense, he is a significant downgrade on Pope, more so than Kelleher is for Allison and as such the clean sheet potential at Newcastle goes right down imo.

            The importance here is how you see the difference between the first choices and the back up. I would say Kelleher is a better goalie than Dubravka now (not s contest when Dubravka were first choice some years ago), but I think for FPL Dubravka might not be that much worse than Pope, because Newcastle doesn't allow many shots or chances anyway. Kelleher is also probably shorter term.

            Not sure I'd agree on that, Kelleher is young but having watched him with Ireland youth teams and his appearances for Liverpool he's a very good keeper and has the potential to be one of the best of the next generation. I rate Dubravka highly too mind, but he's in a team that is better defensively which I think is the bigger consideration from an FPL point of view

          Drew away to Wolves and West Ham and beat Sheffield away. They've lost at City, Brighton, and had a blip against Bournemouth. One bad result from 6.

        You'll be relying on Taylor a lot more over the Xmas period with that bench. I'd probably look at sorting something there first. Presumably planning a free hit in 18 otherwise the team will be..... interesting

            At some point yes. Although City has a tough game against Villa this week.

            Saka could be rested perhaps but Luton are doing alright at home so it would be a risk. Arteta likes starting him no matter what as well.

      My 4th defender & 4th midfield position this season..

      Mings -> Henry -> Burn (->Lascellas)

      Neto -> Eze -> Palmer

      Majority of my transfers have been transferring in a player, they get injured, replace them, that player gets injured. If I had of gotten Gordon over Neto on. Gw8 wildcard it would have saved a lot of hassle

      I can't believe they found Saka extra BPS around midnight so he could get another sneaky bonus point.

      So.it keeps.happening with him. A few weeks ago he got a lucky assist (which was clearly not just deflected by the goal keeper).

      I don't expect Gabriel to start the next game so worth downgraded to Livra/Lacelles? I could use the money to do Adingra to Gordon.

      Don't like Arsenal's next 3 for CS after Luton

        Loads of them here! I've rarely had any bench jam, think apart from 8pts for Andersen one GW the most I've gotten from bench players coming in was 3pts this season. Have Branthwaite first on my bench and I highly doubt I'll be getting those 9pts

      imo atm we have too many good midfield and attacking options

      Haaland Salah are too good not to worth their price tags
      There are exciting picks like Darwin Isak Bowen
      Son Mbeumo can haul anytime and Gordon seems too reliable for his price
      Cheap enablers like Hwang Palmer Soucek always gonna return something sooner or later
      But I prefer season keepers like Watkins Saka, I think these 2 along with the 2 premiums should be in every team

      Nkunku is coming who's probably gonna thrive and other picks like Kulu Ode Kudus Diaby Martinelli are interesting but how can you fit them in

        Yes, I agree. I was one of those who dropped Haaland for Salah several weeks ago. It paid off for a while, but now Haaland's hit form again, so I had to drop Son to get Haaland back in. Trippier is one of my essentials, as is Saka and Bowen. This season I've focussed on consistent returners, and it's paying dividends so far. Son is the glaring omission now in my team, but it would likely mean losing Watkins, and outside of Haaland and Watkins, I don't feel excited by the forwards, though Darwin is a potential.

        We can't have them all, of course, and my team value is quite good, so I'm probably in a better position than most. Still can't have the team I want though!

          Yep, he'll slot in within a very set defensive structure, so while you might argue Pope is a better goalie on an individual basis, i think as you, that it won't matter much. I'm going for it I think
