      I see the appeal of Baldock vs Luton though, but prefer playing someone from the league's best defence when it's down to a comparison

    Solanke's form has made me re-evaluate my plans: I'm not selling this guy for Haaland, and I don't think I'll get Gross or Trippier over him long-term. Therein lies an opportunity, where I can go Salah + Archer to Haaland + Solanke in GW20 after rolling my GW19 FT, giving this squad with 1.1 ITB for GW20:

    Areola
    Gabriel Porro Trent
    Saka (V)Son Rich Bowen
    Solanke (C)Haaland Watkins
    .
    Dubravka Gordon Coufal Lascelles

    And then I'll lose Son for the Asian Cup, with a few defensive tweaks based on fixtures, then Salah in for Saka after AFCON:

    GW21: Son to D. Luiz
    GW22: Lascelles to Pau/Konsa
    GW23: Gabriel to Botman/Burn
    GW24/25: Saka to Salah

    2M OR in GW13, 500K now. This season has been another rollercoaster, but planning has helped curb my hit instincts (almost took a hit for Trippier this GW)

          Lascelles as a 5th def / 3rd bench at 4.2m is fine to leave on the bench until you have a spare transfer imo.

          Potential double for City Brentford in 25 is something to keep in mind

            I agree on Lascelles not being a priority sale at 3rd sub, but I do want nailed Villa and Newcastle defenders from GW23. Lascelles (benched) and Gabriel (fixtures) are my routes to Pau/Konsa and Botman/Burn. It's more like a drawn-out WC. I'll see if I can roll the GW22 FT, then. Thanks for that

            About the potential City + Brentford double, maybe that'll trigger a wildcard. It's probably just Haaland and maaaaaybe Toney for me. It'll be hard to lose Watkins or Solanke

            What's your GW19 and/or long-term plan atm?

              Yeah solid reasons for your transfer plans. Just a suggestion when I seen booked transfers in consecutive GWs.

              My team is similar to yours. At the moment probably roll FT this GW, Salah/Archer to Rich/Haaland in 20 and Son to Bowen in 21. See what the state of play is in 22 and see if I can fix Livramento spot.

      I am considering Watkins to Haaland and not Solanke. The only issue is short term, it is Watkins who has the the better fixtures but the extra cash will allow me upgrades elsewhere. I also wonder if Solanke can keep it up.

        Yeah, that's a tough one with funds. I've learnt not to consider selling Watkins when fit this season. He's approaching this for me: "Don't sell. Don't bench. Don't cap"

          Yeah and I have a lot of value tied up in him so probably won’t be able to get him back without a big sacrifice elsewhere in the team. He is second overall for strikers (although third is Solanke). Tough call indeed. This week will be Tsimikas out anyway I think.

        Gusto would be 4th defender (Pau injured 5th) but yeah when is Pau is back Gusto would be bench fodder.

      Isak was fit enough for the bench, so I'd avoid Wilson *and* Isak for the foreseeable future, then the fixtures don't help either

      GW20 WC means you don't have to lose Watkins for Haaland here

      I'd focus on Tsimikas to Trent with those funds instead, as that has a good chance of repaying immediately and you won't want Tsimikas on your wildcard

      Watkins is a long-term hold, imo. Maybe Solanke is too...

          Oh, this looks like it could work with a 3-4-3 if you switch Saka to Trent via Wilson (not Andreas)

          Just feels like the worst time to sell Saka. His stats have been good, he's still taking some delightful corners, and he's been a bit unlucky. Those four upcoming fixtures might not see double figures every game, but I think it's a scary time to sell

          Andreas isn't a great pick for 5.3 I think. Skewed by one big game. Maybe Soucek or McTominay a touch better but not much. Depends on your starters but maybe a fodder mid gives you scope to upgrade elsewhere?

    That Tsimikas long-term injury likely means Gomez has to play at LB until Robbo returns, locking Trent at RB instead of midfield

    Probably just two GWs or so until Robbo returns anyway

      Same here. I've been churning through defensive transfers due to likes of James, maguire injuries.i have a wildcard next week so this week I effectively get to go for a fun differential, but may be forced to do a defensive transfer just to avoid the cash price drop.

    If he doesn't get hurt tomorrow, would you do Tsimi > Gusto or is there a better option.
