Haaland at 14.4 is criminal. I am glad I got him at 13.9.

If you only let him drop to 13.9 after a month away, seems foul play to let him rise to 14.4. My mini-league rival waited around, he just lost 0.5M. That rough.

FPL is going to let Salah rise to 13.5 in no-time flat.

Before the usual lot moan about Haaland's price.....

Falls and rises are calculated differently.

      From FPL stats:

For a player to fall in price quickly two factors are important i) teams need to be selling the player and ii) at the same time he must be 100% available (i.e. not injured). For a player to rise in value quickly i) teams need to be buying the player and ii) the player must not be "locked"

I don’t get why so many are transferring out Watkins and Solanke. Villa have a great fixture in a week where some of the top teams have a blank and though Solanke has a couple of difficult fixtures in the immediate short term, also has a very good double coming up as well.

Seems a little short sighted, but maybe I’m missing something…

This is the season of short sightedness. Many players who dropped in price have returned (sometimes hauled) the week after.

Arsenal has a highly regarded Set Piece coach. They are playing at another level. Gabriel is an animal in the air but you see awesome coordination with Havertz and Saliba.

    4 doublers in 25- TAA/Foden/Haaland/Darwin
    5/6 blankers in 26- Porro/TAA/Rich/Palmer/Darwin + possibly Beyer.

    Thinking Porro-> Stones/Walker + maybe a hit somewhere.
TAA a concern too of course but awkward to move him on.
    Anything standing out?

    Dubravka.
    Porro, TAA, Trippier.
    Foden, Saka, Richarlison, Garnacho.
    Darwin, Watkins, Haaland.
    Areola, Palmer , Gabriel Beyer.

None of the CBs are nailed as they are injury prone. Plus they have one of worst defence in league and were very lucky to not concede 4 yesterday thanks to Watkins typical wastage. Might as well get Hecke and use saved funds for an upgrade

    D) Yes, something else (Jota difficult)

I think it's quite risky to go without Darwin or Jota to be honest. But there are some good fixtures and some single game week players could equal their scores with some luck. Guess it depends who you own instead.

You still own Bowen? Your loyalty and discipline is admirable. Like a British Infantryman in a Waterloo square.

Get a doubler. Saka could have scored 4 goals today, but it's hard for a player and team to repeat a 6-0 performance.

You must already have Jota and Foden.

Buyer beware, Salah is trying to come back. That could mean that Jota or Luis Diaz could lose their starting jobs or just play 90 minutes. At this point wait until you know more about Salah.

      Just my opinion

I try to look at FH in another way this season.

I see it as a chip to preserve your team.

All teams should have these essentials:

Salah, son, Saka, Watkins, Haaland, Palmer and Areola/Dubravka.

These are the 7 players you play against any team and you wouldn’t be surprised if they return.

For me, FH29 is a way for me to keep these players, maximising the rest of season.

I've decided to hold my Free Hit for gw29. Hoping that the maximum number of fixtures for that week are postponed.

    Thinking:

1 - gw26 may well be easier to navigate than gw29, even though we are mostly loaded up on Liverpool and some spurs/chelsea

2 - I currently have 5 blanks for gw26 and 2fts. I can either go all in on dgw25 players or temper the excitement so that I can manage gw26 without a free hit.

3 - going all in basically means taking a hit to bring in salah + Morris + doughty to have 8 dgw players.
But salahs minutes might be managed. He then has one good fixture and then City before blank gameweek29. I think I can last to gw30 without.
I would also have to lose saka and solanke - both good options.

4 - "tempering excitement" means jota and a Liverpool defender in for richarlison and gusto. Replacing 2 gw26 blankers with another 2 blankers, but still fielding 7 dwg25 players. Jota is on form and I'm not fussed about benching him for gw26.

5 - we could end up with as few as 4 matches in gw29, and I currently have just 1 player from those fixtures!

I just need to know which Liverpool defender is likely to start the double gameweek fixtures - does anyone know? Gomez or konate?

Otherwise I'd have to go with doughty, but I don't see cleansheets coming in their double gameweek.

I think GW26 is relatively easy to navigate. The question is whether the gain for GW29 outscores the GW34/37 issue and the necessary planning for each. Can easily see both having a 20-30 point gain. If teams like Arsenal, Chelsea or Utd play in 29 it makes life easier

      1. Sharkytect
        • 11 Years
        2 years, 1 month ago

Agreed about gw26, but if I had 8 blank players for that week, including salah, and with estupinan a bit of anrotation risk as well, I'd definitely be considering a free hit.

Need to downgrade an attacker or a midfielder then. Not sure worth wasting both fts.

GW29 aside, I'd definitely say Gabriel. Think the Wolves game was Brentford's 1st CS since October and a bit of an outlier result due to the disruption Hwang/Cunha's injuries. I wouldn't expect much from Reg in 25
